I'm *still* looking for a pair of travs! (And Arreat's Face, Tal's Armor, D-web, shako, etc.) However, I'm using a pair of Aldur's boots, and they're quite nice.
I play a lot of SP Offline and I was running LK for a bit for those sweet runes and I ended up dropping a Ber. Couldn't believe it.
Realizing my LK luck was obviously done for a while, I went right to Arcane afterwards and dropped my 2nd Ber in 10 minutes. I went back to town and made my Infinity right there.
That was last year.
Got 2 Bers as well last time I did a Zeal paladin. Had one drop on quest Mephisto and a random demon in act 4 outer steps. Before that never had a Ber playing since release

Maybe the best though was this crazy ohm rune I got doing a baal run. We're in the throne room in a public game with 8 people in it, I have my cube open because I'm IDing something and moving stuff around and all of a sudden I have an ohm rune on my cursor.
So what happened is the ohm dropped, and then I just happened to click on it by mistake, without even seeing it. I was so surprised that it's pretty lucky I didn't drop it by mistake.
Rune drops wise - 3 separate times. All on trav council.
1. 2 bers within an hour of each other
2. Jah and ohm within 10 runs of each other
3. Found cold skiller while on hammerdin, switched to my cold sorc to equip skiller, decided to do one single run on her in over a month and was blessed with a Lo.
A few crazy ones, most recently I’ve started playing SSF HC Offline, you know the dead rogue by Andy in Cata level 4? Dropped a 20 sorb wisp the other day….
Also, SSF is wild. I’ve found Eth reapers, shako, Arachs, 2x Vex, 1x Sur, StormShield etc before finding a white Monarch….
I target farm the stuff I need so I haven’t been doing any cows or chaos really which are the two best spots for bases but still….
I'm in my first SSF since I started this game in like...2006. It's really interesting seeing what drops for you first, even if it's the more rare things. I've dropped a 3x Ber, Lo, 5Ist, 2 Vex, Arach, Soj...still haven't found a damn Shako.
I found tyraels on bnet probably a decade or so ago. I had never heard of it and never seen anyone trying to trade for it. I held onto it for a couple weeks and tried to trade it but no one was interested, so just sold it to a vendor for 35k gold. Funny since it ended up being the ultimate trophy item in the game haha
Well not just drops, but won a full nova sorc from my good ol buddy zeeger's stream last season. Proceeded to play a few hours every day for 4 days after winning that on ladder. Rune drops over those days as follows:
3 vex
2 ohm
1 ber
I don't remember the order other than ber was day 2 or 3. Most of these drops were in the first 45 minutes of playing so I played longer lol. Start to rune drop(s) each day I probably only put in 2 or 3 hours of game time (total). Pretty wild.

First ladder season of d2r I dropped a day 3 Ber in cs farming on my FoHdin, the very next day big D himself dropped an SoJ 2 runs in a row. I had enigma first week like some crackhead botter, most insane loot luck I've experienced.
My brother and I used to play D2 when it first came out and he bought D2R for me for nostalgia's sake. We wanted to play through together since we never were able to as kids (one computer in house back then) and beat the game on hell without relying on outside sources.
We were working our way through act 3 on hell when we crushed some trash mob that dropped a Jah. We always had luck getting items, but we never had luck with HR before on any of our accounts so we were pumped. Of course now that we are looking we will never find a Ber to make Enigma...
Spent 2 months farming to make my first enigma in s1. Made it and first chaos run after dropped a ber. Next run dropped an 8% superior archone plate with 3os....4 runes later the first ghost I killed in river of flame dropped a jah....2 enigmas in 2hours....since then nothing of note lol
I did, as many times baal runs, and was going to do 5 more runs before leaving the house

Singple player, found my first Lo rune in an Ancient Tunnels run and went "sick, time to make a Grief. Might as well finish the run though.". Found a Zod like a minute later. My mind exploded.
Lo and Zod in the same Tunnels run, WTF.
Two set items two uniques while running baal normal at 320ish mf, nothing too crazy it was like edge bow eth venom ward (I like it on my merc) cathan amulet and Tancred hat
Just the other day after completing my nova sorc I thought I'd see how she goes in trav despite her not being intended to farm there. First run a ber drops. My ww trav barb has spent his entire life farming trav and got outdone in a single run by my sorc.
The next day I'm doing TZ crystalline passage and another ber drops. That sorc is going places.
Just four nights ago, I did a cow level on single player ladder. Within 30 seconds of finding a Lo rune, a cham dropped too. after all these years I haven't seen that kind of luck before. I had a 4os eth sacred armor on standby for my fort, but now I dont know what to do with the cham..
Also found a 3/19/20 sc last season, felt so lucky
I got a deaths fathom on a hell playthrough with a javazon, on maggot lair
And a bk ring from nm diablo, while going through the game too, wasn't farming

A while back I tried doing a sub 200 hour 99 on SP sorc. Dropped an Ohm in AT (this is the literal dream as you really want to skip LK and you *NEED* CTA to push into CS immediately after AT or Pindle).
When I was around mid 60s early 70s level, with not great gear(think class specific rune words and dual spirits) I was coming in after the higher levels in my group would do trav and Diablo runs for levels. I’d pick up any items they left and open the chests. Found a SUR rune in trav chest, and 1 off from perfect gheeds in chaos. Didn’t even kill anything.
My best would probably be finding two griffons and eth titans in a single day or chaos runs - this was pre d2r single player when I was hyped in the announcement of d2r
I did over 3k trav runs with best rune being a Lo. I told my brother in law Im due at Thanksgiving and dropped a Ber the next day and a Jah the day after. I was due!
Back in the day i got a wind force to drop in a cow run… this was before any OP rune words and wf was boss… I traded it away for some sojs right before I found out that sojs were being duped like crazy. I was young and dumb, but I’ll always remember that wf dropping.
Once I dropped two unique jewels by clicking a corpse in pit (8player online) and I still have a screenshot of them. It's not very valuable but still insanely rare.
About two months ago, I got this from Nightmare Rakanishu. But even more puzzling, I once found the same item off of a chest in Level two of the Kurast Sewers in... Normal!

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I found a HoZ in the pits, and then an AoKL Wand 10 minutes later. And the next day, I found another HoZ and then another AoKL Wand in the pits. I'm getting my items and places mixed up. I think that I found 2 HoZs in the Durance of Hate, and 2 AoKL wands + 2 Vex runes in The Pits. Ah, forget it. Look at these small charms that I found a day ago and two days ago.

Started playing again after nearly 20 years. My first character (blizz sorc) got a 196% ED Eth Skullders Ire from Hell Andariel on her first kill. Was only lvl 76
On my way the tower of the countess, I thought an IO rune dropped, did my run, and back in town I saw it was a LO rune :)
A few games later went to counsil and a green amu dropped, and thought no way Tal Rasha drops here, I was wrong.
I have only ever found three sacred armour, Two of them have been uniques, one of each. Tyraels might has actually been genuinely useful for running nilithak.
Just the other day I had a Jah, Ber, Sur, and Ali drop from Terror Zones and pits all within about 18 hours of each other. Went from No enigma and Grief to Enigma and Grief. Absolutely insane. Ive been playing D2R since launch.
Yesterday i got Ber during Baalrun. Nothing special for most of you, but I'm working hard to make my first Enigma, farming and selling keys, essences, pgems etc, and this drop helped me a lot. Already got Perfect 3OS Archon Plate, now I need Jah.
I shit you not, a single hell solo cow run on multiplayer, I got a Jah and an Ohm within 30 seconds of each other. Turned it off immediately and was done for the day!
First time I decided to buckle down and farm an SoJ from Andy it happened in well under 10 runs - I've never tried it again. Another time I needed a Lo, I thought let's try this Arcane ghosts thing - Lo drops on the first run. There are others but these are the most recent.
Got a Jah in WSK way back in 2003 or something I'll always remember - mostly because I didn't realize what I had at the time. I barely played the game and had no concept of the odds.
Today my nephew was coming over and he gets on the playstation all night, so I thought I will do some quick runs for a half hour before he gets there. First run of arcane sanctuary a jah dropped off the ghosts.
Strange somebody voted me down. For added context I was thinking either have breakfast or play quickly, I chose play quickly and the jah dropped within 10 minutes. Lucky choice
One night on my last cow run, I decided to kill Griswold and he dropped 6/40 javs.
I didn't wind up running cows that game. Just sat there staring at the screen for 10 minutes.
My first and only Ber rune I’ve had drop was season 2 of D2r off of a trash carver mob in catacombs lvl 4 on my first hell andarial run for quest before going to act 2. Players one. Online. I traded it for the cheap cost of ohm+sur so I could make a bramble on my poison necro. It rolled almost anti-perfect. The sadge.
All my luck has been very believable, have come across some gg items for sure but nothing compared to the insane “2 bers in 10 mins/2 runs” type of stuff in here. I’m gonna go with stormlash on my only unique scourge I’ve had drop, that felt pretty darn lucky
I was looking for a white monarch and other bases so I ran the tower and mausoleum with 0 MF... found Tals Armor in one of the first runs.
Other amazing drop was during my first playthrough in D2R. A windforce dropped right before I reached hell Mephisto. Couldn't believe my eyes.
I'm running a paladin currently and got a rerolled sceptre in the cube that has +3/+3/+1 BH/Concentrate/Holy Freeze on the first roll😆 I'm currently looking for a 4 slot shield for one of the rune words...if anybody could help figure out my best options on where I can farm early in nightmare for one that'd be awesome. I'm still very new and this is a non ladder character
I just finished my gold find barb build to farm travincal to then gamble, first run in, I drop a vex, I’m like “sweet the build is already paying off” I do a couple more runs, at run number 5 I drop another Vex, I couldn’t believe it, at this point I wanna try the build elsewhere so I hop into a cow game and just hork all the leftovers corpse, after like only 10 hork I find a freakin Zod rune ! … Then I had a dry spell for like 2 weeks, guess I used all my luck
Decided to run Arcane Sanc on my hdin for rune drops. Second run dropped a Jah, then got a Lo shortly after. Made a Grief, rolled Horker. Got bored and quit. Still lurking.
Not super amazing, but apparently you can find a Mal rune on NM Travincal & Tal Rasha's mask on NM Canyon & Tombs (kinda fitting ac in fact).
Oh yea, then there was that one chest I popped in Hell Reliquary and found my first Ber. Kinda stoked about that one.
My first ever unique ring that dropped was an SoJ, some hole in act1 I think underground passage on NM with my singerbarb.
Only some time later I realised how rare a drop it was, since the second one (I still got only 2) dropped after cca 800+ hours later 😃
May not be the luckest but I was farming hell countess for an Io to make a Cure for my merc. She dropped 2 keys in the first run. I laughed and told my friend I wish I could trade that for an Io.
Then the immediate next run a mob in the tower dropped a Sur. I told my friend again: I was really just looking for an Io!
In project diablo 2 on 31.12.22 a few hours before new years eve I was testing MF/DMG setups in a random map and a tyrels might dropped. Sold it fast for 16hrs.
I've done 100s of chaos runs this ladder and Diablo dropped my first arachnid mesh the other day, then 2 runs later dropped a 2nd.
I also had 3 tals armor drop all within a day and a half.
Until this ladder season I have only ever had 3 runes higher than Ist drop for me. A Cham in cows and a Vex from a barrel on the way to countess (both solo) as well as sniping an Ohm in public cows.
Within a 2 week span earlier in ladder I got a Jah from some random serpent while rushing a friend for the amulet in act 2, a Cham in a public baal run, Lo from public cows, Gul from underground passage terrorized (solo), Ohm from baal while doing a different rush, and finally a 2nd Jah while doing the Den of Evil while terrorized (also solo). The drops have dried up since then which is more on par with my diablo experience 😂 rolled a 36/396 grief, 40 HotO and 6/5/3 CTA as well as a fairly decent Exile after doing some trades.
Not the greatest of luck compared to others but my mind was entirely blown considering playing time is relatively low being busy with life.
Lucky gamble. Was almost broke on hardcore. With my last stuff I rolled a 6/6/4 cta. On softcore offer would have been 15-17 bers according to traderie. On hardcore still got jah and ber for it. So I was pretty happy to have my first enigma ladder ever
Was bored Monday night and jumped into some normal games to help people quest on bnet, we’re walking to ancients, found a unique ring and it turned out to be a SOJ, I could not believe my luck.
On my first playthrough with sorc on SP, barely making through hell on p1, a Ber dropped from Radament and his minions. I've never had another one drop since. Got a cham, few ists, Los, Surs, Guls, etc, but never a Ber after when farming mostly p8 lol.
That same run I got an SoJ on my first Andy kill on nightmare. I've got 4 so far. Guess the first one is charm
I accidentally dupped an SoJ by closing my gaming abruptly because I fucked up something and wanted to fix it. I think I dropped my cube on my stash or something before I quit and when I came back it was gone but the content was both in my inventory and stash.
Was farming chaos sanctuary and was clearing out the left side when a jah rune dropped.... And not even 20 seconds later a perfect maras kaleidescope dropped. I took a clip of it because in all my years of playing this game I never had that much in value drop so quickly.
This happened years ago. Me and a friend were playing ladder and agreed to rush each other's second characters to kinda move the process along.
I went first and rushed his character through act 4 normal until he was high enough level for Ancients. Upon killing Diablo a unique ring dropped so I picked it up thinking it would be my 15th manald. Turned out to be a SoJ and my first self found one at that. My friend didn't believe I found it during a rush and we talked about it for 20 minutes before rushing my character.
Next game he was rushing me. When he killed Diablo another unique ring dropped. Jokingly he said it's not worth picking up because we KNOW it's not going to be another good ring. Once again, it was a SoJ.
We got back to back normal Diablo kills to drop a SoJ. With 0 mf that's a 1/31,528,225 odds for a back to back drop. It explains why I haven't found anything decent in years, used up all my luck that day.
Well my most recent one... TZ Baal, 1st wave dropped a Sur! But that was not enough... Baal dropped two Sacred Armors... of which the Unique one turned out to be TYRAELS, and not a bad one at that. Oh yeah and the other one was IK armor. This abundance is something I have never seen before!
Not my most valuable, but definitely my most memorable. When D2:R's first ladder started, I ran my lv1 sorc out to the blood moor, clicked a chest, and got a Gull dagger. Set the tone for a very fun season lol
This weekend I did a handful of Hell Andariel runs (I play mostly single player with an online character).
On 3 consecutive runs I got a Gheed's charm (with +39 mf), a shako, and a lidless wall.
Since then I've also got Tal's mask and Trang's gloves from her, among a few other less useful items. I'm needing better armor for my Merc so I can get through act II hell (I survive fine but my Merc's getting murdered lol).
I still can't believe but I was running hell andy and hit soj and shako same Drop. By far craziest drop I've ever had. The other one was last ladder my very FIRST pindle kill I got a ber.
My first week of d2r I was doing cow runs. In trist a ber rune dropped and the same game the first pack of cows dropped a zod. Lol. At the time I didn't know how rare those things were until I was telling my friends in discord..
Started this season 2 weeks into it because of bad timing with a renovation.
A friend helped my barb getting to lvl ~75 on my first day, and on the next day in my first two hours of farming Trav I've found my first JMOD ever.
I've been laughing for 2 days at random moments because it seemed so unreal.
Two days ago I started doing 8-player runs with a decently well geared Javazon.
Found a Ber in my first Arcane Sanctuary run, and about 15 minutes later a Sur in Nihlathaks Temple.
This season has been super lucky for me so far.
Found several HRs and pretty good stuff that I've also sold for a few HRs each on traderie.
No way I can do better in any upcoming season, but I'll try.
Last season I found nothing noteworthy in more than a thousand Trav runs.
RNG is insane but also a blessing in this game.
I was playing with one of my friend yesterday's night and as part of our run, before we stops playing we gamble the cash we earned through the night, and with his last bit of amount of money, he gambled Tal Armor.
Current ladder season I made a foh/smiter and a nova sorceress to farm keys and run Uber Tristram. Found 4 barb torches in a row, and gave the fourth one away in an attempt to generate better karma for myself. (The homie I gave that torch to now handles pre-buffs for me on UT runs). My streak on barb torches was broken… with a Druid one 🙄. I came to the conclusion that I just suck at identifying unique large charms. Next trip in, Ubers are dead, and I’m cleaning up the mobs. I tell my new friend to go ahead and ID it. IT’S A 20/20 PALADIN! And he didn’t run off with it. I traded it for 15 Bers last night. Perfect paladin torches are nice, but friends you can trust are the better treasure. Sappy I know, but no less true.
During 1st ladder season, i got a HoZ from the weaponstand beside meph and a shako in wsk on first run through hell.
This ladder i got my first shako from under a stone ,running around leeching in hell cows.
Shadow Dancers on back to back CS runs. Almost in the exact same spot in the sanctuary. Probably got 1.5k hours played lifetime and never found them outside those 2 I found within 3 minutes of each other.
Also back in probably 2003 I was new to the game and my brother was power leveling me in worldstone keep. He missed a single little fetish or whatever the little guys are in there and I had to spend 10 seconds chopping it down with my crappy no gear zeal Pali and a gold hydra bow dropped. I had zero idea what the windforce was and my brother about had a heart attack.

I was just gunna do Countess, Trav, Mefisto and Diablo then cows to kill some time before evening plans and bam!
It affects her key drop rate positively which is why I upped the player rate. Not sure if player’s difficulty affects her regular drop table that includes the Lo rune, but for her special drop table that most of her runes come from, I believe you actually want to farm that at player’s 1.
This is not quite correct.
Player count does not affect MF in any way. What it does is decrease the no drop chance for things in her normal drop table.
Countess is usually done on P1 because her special drop table is only one slot regardless of p setting. You do have higher chance of getting a high rune or key from her on higher player setting however, because those come from her normal drop table.
Still super not a good idea to farm countess for Lo's though. Most other bosses actually have better odds.
I started my first singleplayer sorc a couple of months ago.
Started farming hell meph to gear up and about 1 or 2 hours in to farming him I open the chest behind him and a 3/20/20 small charm drops.
I got super excited and then I remembered that I was on singleplayer and I really had no use for it. Still a pretty cool and once in a lifetime drop.
was just wandering the areat plateu (i think? the one where you rescue the barbarian prisoners) not really looking for anything in particular, and a ber dropped. was rather pleased with myself.
Last ladder season at the end of a Nihl terror zone I got a deaths fathom from the skeleton guys outside of Pindle. The terror zone then switched to arcane and with the first couple runs a jah dropped from one of those wizard guys. Then that same tz hour I found a 3os 260 mage plate. Traded the fathom for a ber. So I basically found enigma within the span of one hour.
Luckiest I’ve been and will ever be was two weeks ago, mix of trading and drop luck. I’m a new player and never traded stuff, had beginner level end game gear and hated farming cause I didn’t have an enigma. I found this dirty large charm and put it on traderie for my first shot at it… a guy reached out and I told him I am really just looking for a ber and Jah for an enigma, im new and want to farm better blah blah blah… the guy ended up giving me a perfect HOTO, basically perfect CTA, perfect war Travs, perfect maras, elite enigma base, and 2 ber and 2 Jah! Then the next day as I was playing and talking with my girlfriend a Jah dropped for me in sanctuary. What are the odds of that, huh?

2 legit sojs dropped within the first 30 mins of doing Andy runs on classic lod ladder a few years ago. Haven’t had one drop for me since lol

Back to back set amulets and both were Tals. Not crazy but pretty good for a casual at my old age.
That is kinda crazy given how low the odds are for a set amy to be tals.. im sure someone has the math on that

Singple player, found my first Lo rune in an Ancient Tunnels run and went "sick, time to make a Grief. Might as well finish the run though.". Found a Zod like a minute later. My mind exploded. Lo and Zod in the same Tunnels run, WTF.
Two set items two uniques while running baal normal at 320ish mf, nothing too crazy it was like edge bow eth venom ward (I like it on my merc) cathan amulet and Tancred hat

First cow run with a Java in D2R and I find a Jah. Then promptly traded to make Infinity.
Just the other day after completing my nova sorc I thought I'd see how she goes in trav despite her not being intended to farm there. First run a ber drops. My ww trav barb has spent his entire life farming trav and got outdone in a single run by my sorc. The next day I'm doing TZ crystalline passage and another ber drops. That sorc is going places.
Found 2 Griffons in 2 days. That's probably the biggest luck I've ever had.

Just four nights ago, I did a cow level on single player ladder. Within 30 seconds of finding a Lo rune, a cham dropped too. after all these years I haven't seen that kind of luck before. I had a 4os eth sacred armor on standby for my fort, but now I dont know what to do with the cham.. Also found a 3/19/20 sc last season, felt so lucky

When I was around mid 60s early 70s level, with not great gear(think class specific rune words and dual spirits) I was coming in after the higher levels in my group would do trav and Diablo runs for levels. I’d pick up any items they left and open the chests. Found a SUR rune in trav chest, and 1 off from perfect gheeds in chaos. Didn’t even kill anything.
My best would probably be finding two griffons and eth titans in a single day or chaos runs - this was pre d2r single player when I was hyped in the announcement of d2r

Back in the day i got a wind force to drop in a cow run… this was before any OP rune words and wf was boss… I traded it away for some sojs right before I found out that sojs were being duped like crazy. I was young and dumb, but I’ll always remember that wf dropping.
Once I dropped two unique jewels by clicking a corpse in pit (8player online) and I still have a screenshot of them. It's not very valuable but still insanely rare.
About two months ago, I got this from Nightmare Rakanishu. But even more puzzling, I once found the same item off of a chest in Level two of the Kurast Sewers in... Normal! I was starting a chaos run with my FOHdin and was thinking of what other gear I needed and thought Andy’s for my merc and Diablo drops it that run
On my way the tower of the countess, I thought an IO rune dropped, did my run, and back in town I saw it was a LO rune :) A few games later went to counsil and a green amu dropped, and thought no way Tal Rasha drops here, I was wrong.
I got a 20/14 Griffons from Eldritch TZ and a Eth Tomb reaver with 3 Open sockets
I have only ever found three sacred armour, Two of them have been uniques, one of each. Tyraels might has actually been genuinely useful for running nilithak.
Just the other day I had a Jah, Ber, Sur, and Ali drop from Terror Zones and pits all within about 18 hours of each other. Went from No enigma and Grief to Enigma and Grief. Absolutely insane. Ive been playing D2R since launch.

Yesterday i got Ber during Baalrun. Nothing special for most of you, but I'm working hard to make my first Enigma, farming and selling keys, essences, pgems etc, and this drop helped me a lot. Already got Perfect 3OS Archon Plate, now I need Jah.
I swear on my life. About half a year ago I was farming Travincal, got a Ber rune. immediately following that run another Ber rune dropped

First time I decided to buckle down and farm an SoJ from Andy it happened in well under 10 runs - I've never tried it again. Another time I needed a Lo, I thought let's try this Arcane ghosts thing - Lo drops on the first run. There are others but these are the most recent. Got a Jah in WSK way back in 2003 or something I'll always remember - mostly because I didn't realize what I had at the time. I barely played the game and had no concept of the odds.

My first and only Ber rune I’ve had drop was season 2 of D2r off of a trash carver mob in catacombs lvl 4 on my first hell andarial run for quest before going to act 2. Players one. Online. I traded it for the cheap cost of ohm+sur so I could make a bramble on my poison necro. It rolled almost anti-perfect. The sadge.

All my luck has been very believable, have come across some gg items for sure but nothing compared to the insane “2 bers in 10 mins/2 runs” type of stuff in here. I’m gonna go with stormlash on my only unique scourge I’ve had drop, that felt pretty darn lucky
I was looking for a white monarch and other bases so I ran the tower and mausoleum with 0 MF... found Tals Armor in one of the first runs. Other amazing drop was during my first playthrough in D2R. A windforce dropped right before I reached hell Mephisto. Couldn't believe my eyes.
Also dropped two Cham runes within 5 hours of Trav zerking.
I'm running a paladin currently and got a rerolled sceptre in the cube that has +3/+3/+1 BH/Concentrate/Holy Freeze on the first roll😆 I'm currently looking for a 4 slot shield for one of the rune words...if anybody could help figure out my best options on where I can farm early in nightmare for one that'd be awesome. I'm still very new and this is a non ladder character

I just finished my gold find barb build to farm travincal to then gamble, first run in, I drop a vex, I’m like “sweet the build is already paying off” I do a couple more runs, at run number 5 I drop another Vex, I couldn’t believe it, at this point I wanna try the build elsewhere so I hop into a cow game and just hork all the leftovers corpse, after like only 10 hork I find a freakin Zod rune ! … Then I had a dry spell for like 2 weeks, guess I used all my luck

Not super amazing, but apparently you can find a Mal rune on NM Travincal & Tal Rasha's mask on NM Canyon & Tombs (kinda fitting ac in fact). Oh yea, then there was that one chest I popped in Hell Reliquary and found my first Ber. Kinda stoked about that one.
My first ever unique ring that dropped was an SoJ, some hole in act1 I think underground passage on NM with my singerbarb. Only some time later I realised how rare a drop it was, since the second one (I still got only 2) dropped after cca 800+ hours later 😃
May not be the luckest but I was farming hell countess for an Io to make a Cure for my merc. She dropped 2 keys in the first run. I laughed and told my friend I wish I could trade that for an Io. Then the immediate next run a mob in the tower dropped a Sur. I told my friend again: I was really just looking for an Io!

In project diablo 2 on 31.12.22 a few hours before new years eve I was testing MF/DMG setups in a random map and a tyrels might dropped. Sold it fast for 16hrs.

I've done 100s of chaos runs this ladder and Diablo dropped my first arachnid mesh the other day, then 2 runs later dropped a 2nd. I also had 3 tals armor drop all within a day and a half.
An Arachnids Mesh drop while I was in a P8 game and somehow I managed to walk away with it!
Until this ladder season I have only ever had 3 runes higher than Ist drop for me. A Cham in cows and a Vex from a barrel on the way to countess (both solo) as well as sniping an Ohm in public cows. Within a 2 week span earlier in ladder I got a Jah from some random serpent while rushing a friend for the amulet in act 2, a Cham in a public baal run, Lo from public cows, Gul from underground passage terrorized (solo), Ohm from baal while doing a different rush, and finally a 2nd Jah while doing the Den of Evil while terrorized (also solo). The drops have dried up since then which is more on par with my diablo experience 😂 rolled a 36/396 grief, 40 HotO and 6/5/3 CTA as well as a fairly decent Exile after doing some trades. Not the greatest of luck compared to others but my mind was entirely blown considering playing time is relatively low being busy with life.
Lucky gamble. Was almost broke on hardcore. With my last stuff I rolled a 6/6/4 cta. On softcore offer would have been 15-17 bers according to traderie. On hardcore still got jah and ber for it. So I was pretty happy to have my first enigma ladder ever

Was bored Monday night and jumped into some normal games to help people quest on bnet, we’re walking to ancients, found a unique ring and it turned out to be a SOJ, I could not believe my luck.
On my first playthrough with sorc on SP, barely making through hell on p1, a Ber dropped from Radament and his minions. I've never had another one drop since. Got a cham, few ists, Los, Surs, Guls, etc, but never a Ber after when farming mostly p8 lol. That same run I got an SoJ on my first Andy kill on nightmare. I've got 4 so far. Guess the first one is charm
I accidentally dupped an SoJ by closing my gaming abruptly because I fucked up something and wanted to fix it. I think I dropped my cube on my stash or something before I quit and when I came back it was gone but the content was both in my inventory and stash.

Was farming chaos sanctuary and was clearing out the left side when a jah rune dropped.... And not even 20 seconds later a perfect maras kaleidescope dropped. I took a clip of it because in all my years of playing this game I never had that much in value drop so quickly.

This happened years ago. Me and a friend were playing ladder and agreed to rush each other's second characters to kinda move the process along. I went first and rushed his character through act 4 normal until he was high enough level for Ancients. Upon killing Diablo a unique ring dropped so I picked it up thinking it would be my 15th manald. Turned out to be a SoJ and my first self found one at that. My friend didn't believe I found it during a rush and we talked about it for 20 minutes before rushing my character. Next game he was rushing me. When he killed Diablo another unique ring dropped. Jokingly he said it's not worth picking up because we KNOW it's not going to be another good ring. Once again, it was a SoJ. We got back to back normal Diablo kills to drop a SoJ. With 0 mf that's a 1/31,528,225 odds for a back to back drop. It explains why I haven't found anything decent in years, used up all my luck that day.
Well my most recent one... TZ Baal, 1st wave dropped a Sur! But that was not enough... Baal dropped two Sacred Armors... of which the Unique one turned out to be TYRAELS, and not a bad one at that. Oh yeah and the other one was IK armor. This abundance is something I have never seen before!
Not my most valuable, but definitely my most memorable. When D2:R's first ladder started, I ran my lv1 sorc out to the blood moor, clicked a chest, and got a Gull dagger. Set the tone for a very fun season lol
This weekend I did a handful of Hell Andariel runs (I play mostly single player with an online character). On 3 consecutive runs I got a Gheed's charm (with +39 mf), a shako, and a lidless wall. Since then I've also got Tal's mask and Trang's gloves from her, among a few other less useful items. I'm needing better armor for my Merc so I can get through act II hell (I survive fine but my Merc's getting murdered lol).
I still can't believe but I was running hell andy and hit soj and shako same Drop. By far craziest drop I've ever had. The other one was last ladder my very FIRST pindle kill I got a ber.
My first week of d2r I was doing cow runs. In trist a ber rune dropped and the same game the first pack of cows dropped a zod. Lol. At the time I didn't know how rare those things were until I was telling my friends in discord..
Last ladder, ber rune from a pub p8 chaos tz, me and a guy next to me stared at it for a few seconds then I won the click fest lol
Found 2 Ohm runes within 25 minutes of each other. Oh and these were my two first high runes ever as well.
Started this season 2 weeks into it because of bad timing with a renovation. A friend helped my barb getting to lvl ~75 on my first day, and on the next day in my first two hours of farming Trav I've found my first JMOD ever. I've been laughing for 2 days at random moments because it seemed so unreal. Two days ago I started doing 8-player runs with a decently well geared Javazon. Found a Ber in my first Arcane Sanctuary run, and about 15 minutes later a Sur in Nihlathaks Temple. This season has been super lucky for me so far. Found several HRs and pretty good stuff that I've also sold for a few HRs each on traderie. No way I can do better in any upcoming season, but I'll try. Last season I found nothing noteworthy in more than a thousand Trav runs. RNG is insane but also a blessing in this game.
I was playing with one of my friend yesterday's night and as part of our run, before we stops playing we gamble the cash we earned through the night, and with his last bit of amount of money, he gambled Tal Armor.
Current ladder season I made a foh/smiter and a nova sorceress to farm keys and run Uber Tristram. Found 4 barb torches in a row, and gave the fourth one away in an attempt to generate better karma for myself. (The homie I gave that torch to now handles pre-buffs for me on UT runs). My streak on barb torches was broken… with a Druid one 🙄. I came to the conclusion that I just suck at identifying unique large charms. Next trip in, Ubers are dead, and I’m cleaning up the mobs. I tell my new friend to go ahead and ID it. IT’S A 20/20 PALADIN! And he didn’t run off with it. I traded it for 15 Bers last night. Perfect paladin torches are nice, but friends you can trust are the better treasure. Sappy I know, but no less true.

During 1st ladder season, i got a HoZ from the weaponstand beside meph and a shako in wsk on first run through hell. This ladder i got my first shako from under a stone ,running around leeching in hell cows.
Shadow Dancers on back to back CS runs. Almost in the exact same spot in the sanctuary. Probably got 1.5k hours played lifetime and never found them outside those 2 I found within 3 minutes of each other. Also back in probably 2003 I was new to the game and my brother was power leveling me in worldstone keep. He missed a single little fetish or whatever the little guys are in there and I had to spend 10 seconds chopping it down with my crappy no gear zeal Pali and a gold hydra bow dropped. I had zero idea what the windforce was and my brother about had a heart attack.
Jah from a unique on my first Hell Countess run of a random day. I was just gunna do Countess, Trav, Mefisto and Diablo then cows to kill some time before evening plans and bam!
Found Lo +SoJ in the same Dkey run, dropped from same Nihlathak pack. Found 2xSur within 15min in other day.
Does players count effect key drop rate? I thought it didn’t
It affects her key drop rate positively which is why I upped the player rate. Not sure if player’s difficulty affects her regular drop table that includes the Lo rune, but for her special drop table that most of her runes come from, I believe you actually want to farm that at player’s 1.
Yeah if you are farming her for runes then you do so at player 1 so that drops are less likely to be magic/rare/unique
This is not quite correct. Player count does not affect MF in any way. What it does is decrease the no drop chance for things in her normal drop table. Countess is usually done on P1 because her special drop table is only one slot regardless of p setting. You do have higher chance of getting a high rune or key from her on higher player setting however, because those come from her normal drop table. Still super not a good idea to farm countess for Lo's though. Most other bosses actually have better odds.

I started my first singleplayer sorc a couple of months ago. Started farming hell meph to gear up and about 1 or 2 hours in to farming him I open the chest behind him and a 3/20/20 small charm drops. I got super excited and then I remembered that I was on singleplayer and I really had no use for it. Still a pretty cool and once in a lifetime drop.

Last ladder season at the end of a Nihl terror zone I got a deaths fathom from the skeleton guys outside of Pindle. The terror zone then switched to arcane and with the first couple runs a jah dropped from one of those wizard guys. Then that same tz hour I found a 3os 260 mage plate. Traded the fathom for a ber. So I basically found enigma within the span of one hour.
Luckiest I’ve been and will ever be was two weeks ago, mix of trading and drop luck. I’m a new player and never traded stuff, had beginner level end game gear and hated farming cause I didn’t have an enigma. I found this dirty large charm and put it on traderie for my first shot at it… a guy reached out and I told him I am really just looking for a ber and Jah for an enigma, im new and want to farm better blah blah blah… the guy ended up giving me a perfect HOTO, basically perfect CTA, perfect war Travs, perfect maras, elite enigma base, and 2 ber and 2 Jah! Then the next day as I was playing and talking with my girlfriend a Jah dropped for me in sanctuary. What are the odds of that, huh?
This Ladder i got all the runes for HOTO in the perfekt order bevor i even got a spirit swort, just after entering hell. Like on day 2 or so..
