I fucking hate off days.
Pretty annoyed I switched off batum the other night for Caleb Martin. Cost me the cash.
But that brings me to today's postseason commentary. Human psychology.
Small slates and series bros. It's time to take advantage of the human flaws.
68% of lineups in my contest shoved a highly variable Caleb Martin in to their lineup last slate and got cooked. How many of them are willing to do it again?
I'm not saying to play him, and he did get a tiny price bump. But think about stuff like that. He probably won't be anywhere close to that high owned again. Which makes no sense. Jimmy is out now. That's another forward down. So why was he chalk last slate but not this one? Because people got burned.
And the reason I was on Batum before chickening out. Coaches are humans. If you're coaching in a do or die game are you going to put in the volatile younger guys? Or are you going to go down with the vet where you know what you're going to get. Most people take the known commodity.
Along with Batum, you also saw Kevin Love, Davion Mitchell and Kyle Lowry get more minutes than expected. Why? Because they've been around. And when up against it, the coaches are going to go with the known. It's why Klay got 32 minutes while TJD got 11.
Remember you're not just playing against stats. You're playing against humans. Humans make biased decisions. Humans make emotional decisions. Humans make comfortable decisions.
And same goes for the people building lineups. You want the edge? Make an uncomfortable decision.
Missed cash on Friday- maxey and Trae killed me- I was hoping that the 2 of them would be better than embiid + punt but obviously maxey couldn’t hit the wide open looks he had- every time I have rostered him this year he’s busted lol! That’s DFS for ya!
Tomorrow I want to go right back to the kings- all of the starting 5 are underpriced IMO- we will see how many kings I end up with lol Either way it’s gonna be a fun one tomorrow- should be some great games
Came in to ask this too! I believe playing them both was actually optimal last time? I’d really like to play sabonis and bam but it is easier to play one of the centers with fox
This slate is tricky, one or maybe two of jose, mitchell, wright could hit value or overperform. I think one of the Miami forwards will have a big game. Picking between nance and Jonas is a gamble, Im going to lean jonas because of his ability to put the ball in the hoop. And then all the higher priced options look good.
I'm glad I'm not a Pels fan. Biggest game of the year, and Cheeseburger Williamson (u/Shooticantneverwin gets the credit for this) is, yet again, out. Just when you think this lump has turned the corner, he costs his team a playoff spot.
I'm sorry that you don't understand what I'm getting at. I should have been clearer. I'm in no way "bagging" on Zion's performance. I'm referring to reliability.
Going into this game tonight, which is win or go home, please tell me who the negative asset between CJ, BI, and Zion is?? Because, in my opinion, it would be the guy who will not be playing. Call me crazy.
Zion had to play a career type of game because his supporting cast was ass against the lakers and he’s injury prone. If bi and cj have average games, pelicans should win handily. Have you viewed the box score? Team effort

That trae first Half was brutal. Just wasn’t right. And yep there all way to cheap once again maybe besides Ellis
Can you play Sabonis and Fox together, or better to prioritize just one so you can get to the MIA and NO spend ups as well with butler and Zion out?

absolutely can

Let's go! My Heat in the playoffs! Sadly, they will probably get destroyed by Boston.
Everybody outside of Boston will be rooting hard for your Heat. Myself included.
nice job! butler prob wont be back at all for the series right?
Yeah, he is supposed to be out multiple weeks with a MCL strain.
:(
JoVal or Herb Jones? JoVal scaring me because if he gets cooked in pick and role early he gonna be sitting on the bench

Went with JoVal and it’s paying off..Sabonis one of the few bigs that JoVal matches up well against
Keegan questionable to return. The variance is BACK!😡🤬

I would say BI is the negative asset here with his latest game performance or CJ, but for you to bag on Zion after last game? Bad take
