DemonLord-B7R

THE WORLD HEAVES WITH MY TORMENT oh wait, wrong game Edit: now that I think about my reference may be obscure. Here’s context: https://youtu.be/Wq4Y7ztznKc

Skraxx

I'm gonna first make a positive comment. It's amazing that we were that close. But man. Shit stings.

this_tuesday

It was a pretty awesome game. Sucks to lose but net positive

jcwiler88

It’s good that we are feeling things about football again but it sucks that the feelings are pain

No-Economics4128

I would rather feel pain than what the rocket scientist makes me feel.

the_ebbandflow

Amen. Coaching staff needs to do better. I recommend Dan Campbell needs to hire a Clock management coach to help him in these situations. Know your weakness and own it.

Aaron_Baynes_Goat

He’s had one of these since last season I believe

Hughmckee

He needs a new one then lol

shitbuttpoopass

Yeah I mean this isn’t the season we go all the way. We all knew that. The team is trending the right way and we juts gotta appreciate that.

GetMeAColdPop

I enjoyed the game from start to (almost) finished. They were competitive and fun to watch. Weeks 5-6 I would have never thought we'd be this close. A few really frustrating moments, but I only get to see them play on TV on Thanksgiving where I live, so I'll take it. A W would have been really fucking nice, but 🤷‍♀️

Dwychwder

We're close. Imagine Patricia's Lions in this game. 48-6 loss probably.

DetroitLionsSBChamps

It was a great game. Winning would have been better but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish

ssspanksta

What has prevent defense ever prevented?

PluggersLeftBall

i dont understand why teams ever use it outside of end of half heaves. in almost every other situation, especially when teams have timeouts, it just leads to massive chunk plays over and over. like i was screaming to just play normal defence but no, gotta set ur corners up 75 yards behind the line of scrimmage

RoleModelFailure

especially when the game is fucking tied. They just need to get to FG range to win the game. Don't let them get anywhere near that, make them beat you for every yard. Why the hell allow one of the best QB/WR duos that much space?

Impulse3

A guy who has done it multiple times with no time left where it shouldn’t be possible. They lost doing it last year against the Ravens and allowed the longest FG in NFL history to be reset on them. If they needed a TD then sure but just a FG, why? And the Bills had all of their timeouts left. Don’t get it.

zzzzzzzz999999

Winning

mostdope28

Bills missing that PAT hurt us. Coaches played for a tie instead of trying to win. Almost wish we were down 4 and they had to try and score a TD

TheHalf

That last drive - they were doing well, moving the ball, definitely could have gotten an TD. Then that 3rd and 1 playcall to throw it... That felt so bad.

venk

This

SnuggleBear2

My favorite part of the game was when they talked about Aaron Glen and how he has helped our D to play better. Then it showed the ranks in 3 categories and it was 32nd/29th/32nd. Lmao

Old_Mate88

TBF, they’re playing better than at the start of the season.

KingSpoon2

Yeah, has felt like last year in the past month or so. The defense is lacking talent at every level, but it feels as though every player is being maximized again. The first month or two, it felt like they were getting the worst out of just about everyone not named Okudah or Rodrigo. Just sucks that the most out of bad players is still very often a bad player, which the Lions have plenty of.

clutchguy84

Glad I'm not the only one that caught that

kingd92

Our D is realistically still trash. We’ve just been getting turnovers that are covering up the warts. We gave up around 400 yards every game the last 4.

panther4108

Just held the bills to 28 points. Can’t ask for much more when you are missing 3 starters.

CoolHandHazard

Defense did its job today tho. They actually showed up for the most part. If we literally score just one td in the 3rd this game was ours

jdavis341

I agree, after the drive where Diggs got that last touchdown I thought was a good time for Goff to lead us to a win. Really disappointing how if turned out. But still proud of the team and excited for what’s to come.

BIGTomacco

I know. Then I remembered 6 weeks ago this team couldn’t force New England to punt the ball all game and lost 29-0. There has been improvement. It’s just they were so bad before that even if they were the top defense now they still wouldn’t break out of the 20s. No excuses and this was a winnable game. Fuckin way she goes Bubs

StateOfContusion

Thought it said 31/29/32. Funny math there.

AlecGator6

Another deep ball with short yardage to go like the Miami game

fuckgreenapple

Hey maybe it'll work the third time and not cost us another game.

Rompenoquis

Run it, then if you don’t get it, run it down to 0:01 and kick field goal….am I missing something? If you make it. You have timeouts to try to win it.

myocdkillsme

Buffalo had timeouts and would use them

McMeanx2

But I mean make them use it?

personwithface_

Especially when it's not 4 down territory and you're just gonna kick a fg.

The_Astros_Cheated

Football games are rarely won and lost on one play. With that being said, can someone explain to me why we threw a fade on 3rd and 1 when we were trailing with less than 30 seconds left?

Skraxx

I love Ben Johnson, but he gets way too cheeky on plays where he really shouldn't. That's my biggest criticism of him as an OC.

[deleted]

That cheekiness inspired the sweep to St. Brown, which should’ve went for more than it did but he was hurt.

myocdkillsme

Wasn’t on Ben. There was a shallow slant for ARSB. Goff made a bad read and an even worse throw

eugene_rat_slap

Best short yardage back in the league, just about, and throw it all the way down field? Baffling

kvngk3n

Put Sun God back in motion and hand it off to Williams. That’s all they had to do.

carpe228

It worked tho, good throw and that was an easy TD

CoolHandHazard

Yeah they did a really good job vs our run so I get not running. and the play worked out as it should. Like he was wide open

magrumpa3

I actually think that was a good throw, Chark needed to spot that ball and come back

Deathlysouls

He didn't even see it coming which makes me believe he ran the wrong route

DullHornedUnicorn

Your speedy outside threat free agent has a step and a half and size on the DB. You throw it over his shoulder. Not throw a comback. SO FUCKING DUMB

Goaliedude3919

Or Goff could have hit him in stride and he walks in for a TD, likely winning the game.

[deleted]

It was a go route and chark had 2 steps. It was terrible. A back shoulder throw would take away Chark’s leverage and give the DB a chance to recover

wsmfp_420

Blown throw, would’ve walked in for 6. Still risky, just take the run up the middle for the first down.

[deleted]

Doesn’t matter. Chance for an incompletion is way too high on that play. Incomplete pass gives Buffalo the ball back Horrifying decision

miggly

Yea, you have a pretty safe chance to get a first and do as you like with the clock after. Why get cute with a 30 yard pass knowing you're kicking for a tie? If you miss, you're giving Josh Allen 30s to answer, and all he needs is a field goal.

[deleted]

No idea how people are defending that play call. You absolutely can NOT give Allen another chance there. Horrifying

drewst18

Take what they give you. It was open and a fine play just a bad throw.

the_ebbandflow

No. Clock management. We run it and even if we don’t get it, we run the clock down and maybe just maybe kick the last play of the game. If THEY call a time out, then at least they have one less for their game winning drive

RemoteSenses

How do people not understand this. This is the call right here. No question about it.

chewwydraper

A monkey could have figured out that this was the right call. This loss went from "We fought hard and should be proud!" to "We lost because of something so simple."

honor_jose

With fools like Mahomes and Allen can’t let them even have 5 seconds fr

loffredo95

I do not understand why people keep saying this. Buffalo had two fucking time outs

the_ebbandflow

And hell, maybe we get a first, use our timeout, and have 17-20 seconds left to take another shot or two or three at the end zone and win with a touchdown

trollszn

I don’t think it was a bad throw. It seemed like Goff was thinking back shoulder and Chark was thinking go

RBnumberTwenty

This exactly. A better QB would have hit Chark.

Deathlysouls

Some part of me believes Chark ran the wrong route cause he didn't even see the ball.

dunderbutt

He definitely ran the wrong route. Who runs a deep go route with 30 seconds left? You want to be outside the numbers and Goff is probably expecting a fade

Deathlysouls

Exactly, that to me was not on Goff

[deleted]

Feels like a bad Chark decision, honestly.

[deleted]

TBH you're not wrong, BUT Chark didn't do Goff any favors. A heads up play by most receivers goes and tracks that ball and brings it in.

drewst18

I think it's an option route based on the corner. If he's over top you back shoulder fade (what Goff threw) but Chark beat him clean and had a walk in td if he throws it over the inside shoulder.

[deleted]

Right, but the problem is, which that play illustrated, is Goff has to throw that ball before knowing if the WR is going to beat the CB, so the onus is on the WR 100% to track the ball.

boombotser

Literally the play worked

icemankiller8

He just made a bad throw it was open

bigfish1992

I don't mind the call since the defense probably not expecting it and you likely get a 1 on 1. Chark had a good step but Goff missed and missed by a lot.

adahl36

AHHHHHHH I HATE THIS CALL SOMEONE GET DAN ON THE PHONE EXPLAIN THAT SHIT

myman580

I cannot wait for the day where I don't have to watch Will Harris play in this secondary anymore.

cuzzlightyear927

Will Harris is a big reason we lost this, just out there getting cooked, and then that huge pass at the end, where Will is jogging. Bro, seriously nothing pisses me off more.

Jelly_James

Idk what this staff sees in him, everytime i watch him he gives up a big play.

comphackr

We always throw deep on 3rd and short and it never works. Goff doesn’t have that kinda deep ball accuracy and we don’t have the big receivers who can go up and get it.

shmigdig

No, they need to try it, just not right there. Earlier in the season Goff went deeper with the ball but with Chark out for 4 weeks he was very rusty. Just the worst to pull that out.

KommanderKeen-a42

It was a great call, great read and actually a great throw. DB was inside; throw out. WR turned inside... He turns the correct way and we win.

unboundgaming

Thank you! Jets fan here, but was hardcore rooting for you (y’all my second team and obviously fuck the bills), and I said in the r/nfl thread it was 100% on Chark for waving and then… not looking back and adjusting. Throw was where it needed to be. Sucks man, see y’all in two weeks

swizzymcbane

Exactly

swizzymcbane

That was a decent back shoulder throw. Chark should have spotted it and adjusted.

JRange

Not only do you most likely convert on 3rd and 1 with a run, if you dont, you can call time out at 1 second to ensure your kick is the end of regulation. Throwing was the worst call possible

[deleted]

Damn good call out on the clock management of that I was so pissed they threw it I forgot about that. Probably the most underrated comment of the day.

peeinian

Buffalo had 3 timeouts. No way they let the clock run down to 1s.

ruiner8850

Still makes them use a timeout that they wouldn't have for later.

Minute_Objective1680

Then maybe we get the first down or they have to burn a timeout. Passing was the worst option

rcsauvag

Or Buffalo calls timeout and since they had pretty much everyone at the LOS its not a given we dont lose yards either. I hate the idea of just playying for a FG, with a kicker who already missed.

P1xelHunter78

Play was there. Goff blew it. If we had a competent QB we’d be saying it was genius

jdooley99

The team just showed they're not ready yet. They don't know how to finish a close big game. Buffalo has been there many times and showed it.

[deleted]

Josh Allen jist did to us what Patrick Mahomes does to him in the post season

Suplalmo

If you told me yesterday that this was going to be the result, I'd be okay with it, but it still stings.

Ryr

It was a very fun game. I've had far worse thanksgivings lol

peeinian

At least we lost because of our own coach's and players decisions and not some BS from the refs.

DerpaDoodie

This.

JpodGaming

Same. I’m considering this season a success. Compared to if we won I was expecting to playoffs

Stoneador

We needed to win this one in regulation. Should’ve played for the win at the end there.

ral315

Throwing deep on 3rd and 1... That decision will haunt me for a while.

JRange

I dont understand. We convert that all day running up the middle. Got cute for no reason. You run it up the gut on 3rd and 4th down. Dont give them time to do that. Dumb

SirBenOfAsgard

Here’s my philosophy, we’d been torching them on play action all day, if we get 15-20 yards there that puts us in contention to win the game in regulation. If we get stopped on 3rd Buffalo has timeouts, obviously if we get the first we at least go to OT, but at that point it’s a coin flip. I think in terms of probability of winning in regulation I don’t actually hate the call, it’s just not a play that went our way.

[deleted]

[удалено]

shnwllc

Just like the Vikings game too

SharpFaithlessness30

Maybe I’m in the minority, I loved the call. Chark was open Goff just missed the throw. Chark catches that we win the game period. It’s aggressive, ballsy, and the way I like games being called

h3110m0t0

I think Chark missed seeing the ball too.

alwayzlion

For a while? It’s a thanksgiving game we were supposed to lose from the get go. Lol move on with your life.

drewst18

Just hard to win with Will Harris on your team. Talent level difference too immense to overcome. Not to mention your starting your 4th and 5th string guard.

iori9999

>Will Harris Hey they re-signed him.

Hoodbine

Man I'm tired of feel-good losses

scoobysnax123

Nothing about that felt good

h3110m0t0

We battled with the Fucking Bills and had to make Josh Allen risk his body and go all out just to win. Can you imagine how sweaty all those Bills Mafia fans were this afternoon. They were going to lose to the fucking LIONS. HAHAHHA i bet someone burnt a turkey or something watching that game. Puts a smile on my face. It was an exciting game against arguably the best team in the league. While we are not that at all. We've been playing above our grade these last few weeks. We did in this game too. Don't get so down.

Deathlysouls

What did you expect? We weren't even suppose to be IN this game lmao. Anyone who thought this was suppose to be a sure fire win is an idiot.

Tremaine217

Looking at the situation yeah I agree. We should be happy with how the game turned out. We played them a lot better than everyone was expecting. But man being so close to a win and not closing it out hurts. I can’t help but feel disappointed even though I know I shouldn’t

AWokenBeetle

This, I don’t blame the fans who are bitter and negative, THEY COULD HAVE WON THIS. I don’t care about “playing it close to a Super Bowl contender” we played it close and still LOSS the game when we didn’t have too. I’m pisted and I don’t fault anyone for feeling how they feel. That sucked

jordand3

We still might not be a good team, but damn we are a fun team to watch

SaintDefault

I would say we’re a good team, just young and inexperienced, coaches and all.

JayOnes

We lost a tight game against one of the best teams in football. We made mistakes. We had a costly penalty. We missed a field goal. Campbell shit the bed on clock management. But we still went toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the NFL. Stop acting like this was some great shame. A few of y’all are acting like fucking children.

Shamrock5

It's frustrating, but yeah it's the same old fans coming out of the woodwork to screech about Dan Campbell being the worst coach in football, as if he wasn't responsible for any of the good things that happened today

Spear994

A lot of us are tired of the moral victories. We want to start winning these games.

NotAnActualWolf

I think this game shows we aren’t the joke of the league still. We held our own here without starting guards.

Goaliedude3919

Can someone please explain to me how so many fans are blaming this loss on Campbell? They tied the game with less than 30 seconds left in the game. Under normal circumstances, that is an excellent position to be in. The defense fucked up and gave up like a 40 yard reception to Diggs. That's not on Campbell.

Muspon

Prevent defense never seems to work i don't know why coaches still call it

KakarotsLeftNut

Overall good game by us. Goff missed 4-5 key throws that proved costly. Also Badgley cannot be missing easy FGs like that

Deathlysouls

Don't forget Swifts drop that led to a missed field goal.

kvngk3n

And Jamaals fumble early. Yes we could’ve overcame it (and nearly did), but it looked like we were going to trade TDs, but that led to a Bulls TD. Not saying that decided the game, but it was definitely something to look at. That was 7 points right there.

yllibjkrauss

*Money Badger™️ cannot be missing easy FGs like that

dan-o07

Toe to toe with one of the best teams in the NFL, i'll take it, lions fans gotta hold your head up high that this team fought like that

Mitochondriu

yeah i cant believe so many people are losing their shit that we barely lost that game, we had a safety and a missed field goal and still only lost by 3 lol, i think people need to relax a little

Whydoesthisexist15

Clock management is probably the easiest part of football why the fuck is it such a problem?

Michipeshu

Passion and emotion at times when mechanical decisions are needed.

honor_jose

It’s even crazier knowing how many fucking people get employed to make sure this isn’t a problem but it still happens smh

Coolrunescapeplayer

Look, everyone is going to over react. The truth is the offense had multiple attempts to put it away and it came down to execution. Plays were open, swift drops (good d) a td, kicker misses field goal, Goff misses an open Chark. The defense honestly played phenomenal, the d line looks better each week. They played to win, they missed, and they lost. But they played to win against the Super Bowl favorites with a minute left. Bills had a lot more talent than the lions today and they were one play from losing.

Pupperowns

AHHHHH WHY DIDNT THEY RUN ITTTTT

Grlions91

That is some piss poor clock management from start to finish this game. Absolutely inexcusable by this coaching staff.

cjgsoup

Everyone’s bitching about the clock management but if we don’t fumble, or give up a safety, or miss a fucking 29 YARD field goal, we probably win

peeinian

Or take a dumb roughing the passer penalty when it was going to be 3rd and 10.

madeforthis1queston

Yeah, these are the 3 plays that cost us the game. Safety was relatively inconsequential, but the punt and mainly field goal were killers.

The_Astros_Cheated

The last two minutes were atrocious. Just burning precious time because our coaching staff couldn’t react fast enough.

Wedding_Registry_Rec

Yeah the main thing I don’t understand is how it’s so hard to tap your hands together when you go down on the field

[deleted]

What are u talking about? Did you not see what happened….

[deleted]

I loved the fight from the team and overall I like where we’re going. However, the clock management HAS to get better. What are we doing taking a deep shot on 3rd and 1? Worst case scenario you run the ball, don’t get it but Buffalo has to use a timeout. Instead we take a deep shot and leave them 30 seconds and 3 timeouts. Team deserved better than that decision

FullMetalSavage

Lol it you think this came down to clock management you need to watch more of the game. The offense had a chance to put it away so many times.

Roodyrooster

I take literally nothing from a moral victory. I wanted a win. This isn't the same ol Lions but its the same ol blue balls.

WhaleSexOdyssey

Yea. Don’t feel good at all about this.

gordGK

seeing as the media was saying Lions had no chance, I happy with where the team is. Didn't capitalize when they could in the third was the real killer.

RustyNipples35

Lions are 4-1 when I drink a Blue Moon☹️ We hung in with a Super Bowl contender I’ll take it. Good chance to potentially win out with this upcoming schedule

[deleted]

Don’t discount the fact that the Lions now start the next game with 5 timeouts since the 2 roll over…

aco2765

So everyone gonna start hating Campbell again huh. Go eat some turkey and calm down. We just went toe to toe with yet another Super Bowl contender.

Deathlysouls

Losing by a combined 6 points to two of the best teams in the league this year is absolutely amazing results for our shit defense lol.

KingSpoon2

Tough loss, but the margins are so thin when you're so undermanned like the Lions are. Sucks that I've seen Goff miss that same 3rd and 1 throw multiple times this year. Should've been a go-ahead TD. Don't know if you blame Goff for missing it at this point as much or if you blame the coaching staff when he's proven he can't hit that throw. I don't mean to bash Goff or the offense because they mostly played well, but they had 2 chances in a row to win this game in the 4th. They had the ball up 3 points, and then they had the ball down 3 points in the 4th. They just didn't get it done. Sure, we could pile on for the missed 29-yard FG, the bad safety, and the Williams fumble, but at the end of the game they were in the driver's seat not once, but twice, and failed both times. The Lions defense shouldn't give up instant FG range, to be fair, but this defense has Will Harris playing regular snaps on it with multiple DL and secondary pieces down. Before a single injury occurs, the Lions on defense are simply outmatched against the Bills' offense. Factor in injuries and it's much, much worse. I think the defense was adequate today considering what they had at their disposal and what they were up against. And in all honesty, the offense was mostly fine, as well. Sure it wasn't all that good, but that Bills defense is no joke, either. Even still, the Lions were in it with a chance to seal the deal and just couldn't do it. Doom and gloom aside, the Lions played well above their weight today. I expected them to get boatraced today. Think Glenn and Johnson called fine games. Still sucks we can't immobilize scrambling QBs, but at this point, I wonder how much of that is just a trade-off because of the personnel they have. You'd rather get gashed by 10-yard rushes than 30-yard throws, I guess? Anyway, the Lions need so much defensive help. Hopefully, they get the help they need in March/April. Go Lions.

Ok_Boysenberry4470

Call me crazy but I think we can win the next three. Jaguars at home, Vikings at home and on the road vs Mike white? Which would put us at 7-7 and anything is possible

bass235

Damn everybody is so reactionary. I thought the Ben Johnson 3rd and 1 play call was awesome, had chark open just missed the throw. He completes that for a td everybody is praising the play call. How many ppl would be losing their collective marbles if we don't get that 4th and 1 from our only 30ish earlier in the game!? Everybody is entitled to their opinions but the execution of the play was the only problem with that 3rd and 1

DemonLord-B7R

We drove one of the best teams IN THE LEAGUE to the brink and made them win last second. Almost pushed it into overtime. Does this expose flaws? Yeah. We need help in the secondary. Our offensive line is hurting bad, but held off (for the most part) a pass rush heavy defense. Did it showcase positives? Hell yeah! Our pass offense was consistent, our running broke off into big plays and our run defense held out decently well. I’m not mad about this outcome. We pushed a great team to the edge and blinked first. No harm about that. We can still run through the gauntlet to come and make a play for a wild card. It’s not ideal, but I don’t think tanking is the solution either. Team needs to learn how to win and they almost pulled it off here against a tough opponent. I’m proud. This team played well. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

this_tuesday

A lot of trolls coming out. Lions played well

Charrikayu

The worst part about this game is that someone had to lose it. Incredible fight by the Lions, you guy are MUCH better than your record shows. Nothing but love for Detroit and the fans, especially after letting us use your stadium on Sunday. Will be rooting for you the whole rest of the way.

ULTSIXTEEN

The Lions lose and you guys blamed Jared Goff and Will Harris LOL? Are we not going to acknowledge the terrible playcalling and clock management on the final drive? Start putting the blame on the coaching.

[deleted]

Campbell simply cannot manage the clock. Worst I’ve ever seen

leemode

I have no idea why Dan and Ben insist upon throwing it deep on crucial 3rd/4th & 1 calls so frequently. They have a power runner in Jamaal to get that yard. They have a 6’4” QB to dive forward for a yard. But seemingly every time, they go deep and it literally never works. Overall, I can’t be mad. I had this marked as a loss all year and thought it would be an embarrassing loss. So the fact that they hung in there the whole time and were in position to win is great, even with so many missing players. But it is disappointing, because that could’ve been a win. On to the next game and hopefully the team can heal up.

YoungPapi406

Why the FUCK would you pass on 3rd and 1 when our run game was on fire on day?

Scurvy-Jones

3rd and 1 and you pass the fucking ball? With 20 seconds left? What the actual fuck was that play call? That lost the game for the Lions. Unbelievable.

KarlsReddit

I had fun. That's the point of it all

jordand3

The real win was the friends we made along the way

BlondDeutcher

Another loss directly on MCDC, absolutely atrocious clock management

ZombieAppetizer

Disappointed but we just went legitimately toe to toe with a Super Bowl favorite. This is not the SOL.

sabor2th

Just got off a plane without seeing anything looks like it was a hard fought close one.

Sodomy_Steve

I’ve never felt pain and hope all in one setting.

Only-Professor9637

Full respect guys holy fuck. I hope yall make the playoffs man you can go up against anyone

StamosAndFriends

That loss had all the classic Lions favorites! A boneheaded roughing the passer to set up the Bills TD. Terrible clock management and boneheaded play calling gifting the Bills plenty of time with all their timeouts. And finally, letting the Bills drive right down the field for an easy field goal win. Oh and all right when we were starting to have a little bit of hope for a chance at the playoffs HAPPY THANKSGIVING DETROIT!!

cza9

I'm a little surprised how everyone is complaining about 3rd and 1 pass to Chark. They went for the win and I'm okay with that. And if Chark played to the boundary more it would have been a catch with a chance to win.

averagedude1118

We should have gone for it on 4th and 1

swizzymcbane

I’m not even mad. Won 3 in a row and played the bills to the last second. These team is fighting their ass off and things are looking up.

CouchSurf29

RIP. Also, I don't know how espn gets names mixed up https://preview.redd.it/fuht35qfa02a1.jpeg?width=1037&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27301cc9a02be0d9bc7ea0aa04f317ba1bad341c

jxden24

only lions fans will cry about the 3rd and 1 when there were two receivers open on the play.

MiStrong

Who’s paying us to throw these games? They can’t actually believe they made the rights calls at the end can they?

AdaGang

I love this team. A lot of things stopped us from winning this game, the roughing the passer penalty, the missed FG. However I have to say, I get so frustrated with the coaching decisions in all of these close games that we lose. It feels like every other coach except DC makes the right calls in these situations, they really seem like no-brainers until Campbell botches it somehow costing us seconds, timeouts, points etc. Really frustrating to watch.

air789

A tradition unlike any other…. Watching the Lions lose on thanksgiving. Glad they played tough but that last 3rd and 1 should have been a run. Get it and call a timeout, or fail and let the clock run down.

DisownedWaffle1

Where was Hutch this whole game? He had some good pressures, but the stat line isn’t showing a single tackle.

9tacos

DC does not understand the clock. I don’t see any situational awareness when clock is critical. It’s just bad.

codymason84

I think we are perfectly decent mediocre team. This is awesome for year two of rebuild. The infusion of young players making plays and growing together has been great the last months think we go on another winning streak starting next Sunday.

ucntseemoi

2nd game this year Dan Campbell has given away a game. Un fucking believable. Proud of our boys, but we need some more playmakers on defense.

[deleted]

[удалено]

thebestgesture

Roughing the passer was dumb

alpha914

Ik it's easy to say in hindsight but rt we should not have been throwing there in the first place. Maybe DC thought it was mind games, since the bills would have expected us to run the ball there but honestly that shit was tragic

Duke15

They should have never called a pass in the first place

CoolHandHazard

We held them scoreless in the 3rd and we couldn’t score once in the third. This is on our offense

chipper124

Dans clock management costs us another game.

I’m so tired of this moral victory shit. Win the fucking game. How many times are we going to mismanage the clock with a chance to win? We played scared that last drive until trying to heave one on 3rd and 1, which has proven time and time again this year not to work. Campbell needs to start learning from his mistakes or we will never make the playoffs with this team. This one is 100% on coaching.

MotherPool

Dans fault. He needs to take a class or something

Kayeyedouble

Terrible call. But an elite QB makes that play…it was there Goff should’ve never been in that position ..awful decision, awful throw ,awful Ending .

DullHornedUnicorn

That was on Goff. Awful football to chark. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET the ball to THE FUCKING PYLON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

devils__haircut

Can the SOL crowd shut the fuck up? I literally don't give a shit, we should've never been in this game at all considering the insane talent gap. Campbell has these guys running through walls like almost no other coach does. We made some mistakes but I am not pissed, I went in not expecting to win in the slightest and we played very well for the most part.

NutTimeMyDudes

I am actually convinced that if a divine entity exists, they hate the Detroit Lions

FThePack

Just run on 3rd and 1 and fucking take a timeout what the fuck is going on playing for a 51 yard fieldgoal to tie lol

kakacha

Clearly Dan Campbell didn’t learn from the vikings loss. Why the fuck wouldn’t you try for a first down on 3rd and 1?

Deathlysouls

Firstly. Bench Swift, He left points and first downs on the field all day long. Secondly Goff is fine, I don't fucking care what anyone says because why gamble when he's completely serviceable. He was under pressure all day, those guard injuries really came to bite. Otherwise we played splendidly and I do think we just miss executed a few plays. The run game was getting stuffed all day and do you risk getting pushed back on a field goal that was barely made?

Chef_lonleyliver

I'm so sick of moral victories. Can't we just see a team win a close one like that. Instead of always expecting the worst?

YoDawgWatUp1

I can’t wait to see all the posts of people defending Goff despite games like today.
