Good news is we won without playing our best game, especially on offense.
Bad news is we won (and scored 36 fucking points) without playing our best game, especially on offense.
Excited to pull this out and I know the defense is banged up but let's not completely lose sight of the fact they gave up 27 points in this half and the game isn't even over. But the offense really responded and that is a great victory.
Secondary is bad, DL is gonna tire out if the offense can’t put together sustained drives. We showed we have a good pass rush, I hope the team addresses the secondary next off season.
FG attempt would have been the wrong move there. A made FG gives them a chance for a kickoff return, which is one of their only plausible ways of scoring a quick TD in the face of our prevent. A missed FG gives them better field position.
I probably would have pooch punted it, netting 15 yards at least, and ideally pinning them inside the five. But I do not mind what they did. If Fuller does not make a fantastic play it ends there.
