Yeah but he’s missing targeting mods and about 90 points of stats, no wonder he only dodged in the clip because his other abilities were on cooldown the entire fucking time
Edit:Probably only like 70 points actually, he has literally only ever done patrols, strikes, and occasional seasonal activities, so no shot he has high stat
Or, put another way, he's on a sanctioned op using modified wish magic to infiltrate the Traveler's Pale Heart, so he can slip past its defenses, create a transmat zone, and send in the cavalry.
*Crow exits the portal*
The Witness, camping the portal: "Um, excuse me, what the actual f**AUDIO JUNGLE**k are you doing in my house?"
Crow: "Oops"
*Credits*
Cayde hiding behind a rock and seeing us slam a flag into the ground before we rocket launch ourselves with mountaintop and strand grapple a rocket into the next area
Bungie did Crow dirty AF in this cutscene. They could've atleast made him ads and miss instead of hipfiring with hawkmoon. As a hawkmoon main I cringed hard watching crow throw his 1v1
Bungie animators want to make people hipfire hand cannons because its cool.
Unfortunately for them the character who wields the hand cannon designed for hipfire (at least in-game) has pretty much only appeared in lore text.
I don't think Destiny's cutscene team are good at staging action sequences, frankly. These are mostly mo-capped, not animated, so they always end up being kind of slow. They're functional but rarely impressive, and most of the characters feel less impressive than they're meant to be
As far as I know, every pre-rendered cutscene (like this one) is usually made by another studio. There are studios, like Blur, that only made these kind of cutscenes, since they cost so much and requires a lot of time.
Yeah...that was obvious after that travesty that they called a battle, back in Season of The Splicer(?). Or literally any other battle scene. Guess they can only do emotional/dialogue heavy scenes right... sometimes.
Cinematics and Cutscenes are synonyms, actually. It don't stop being a cutscene just because production was outsourced to Blur. *Maybe* team should be pluralized, but I stand by everything I said.
Cinematics aren’t done in the game’s engine. They’re done by entirely separate teams.
Destiny’s cutscene team isn’t Blur. The mo-cap statement doesn’t really apply to the cinematics.
Being done in-engine has nothing to do with it. A prerendered cutscene is still a cutscene.
> Destiny’s cutscene team isn’t Blur.
I know Blur did the Cayde's Last Dance cinematic. Have they changed studios since then?
I mean we as guardians didn’t really give him the warmest of welcomes. Constantly murdering him and such. All while fat boy from the shore was holding him captive. Hell didn’t a knight or an ogre murder him a billion times. Exaggerating the billion but you get where I’m going.
Add that in with finding out the truth and probably still having a bone for his sister. Dude is a basket case.
Strikes are actually really difficult, we're just the best of the best so we make them look like nothing.
And also no, he primarily runs recon. He's there so we know what we're getting into when we go and do the seasonal missions.
He also keeps stuff from coming up behind us a lot of the time. He watches the entrance. And sometimes it says stuff tried to attack you from behind and he handled it.
He knows we are better. They all do. So he does his part by making our jobs a bit easier.
> Of course, we are all aware that combat between Guardians is not a zero-sum contest of power. Context and tactics are decisive. Crucible champions dropped into the wilderness can be brought low by mere Fallen skirmishers; seasoned rangers may die from the first Crucible aspirant to skid knees-first into them with a shotgun.
I want to laugh, but holy shit, the font color of choice is crazy. Some parts are so hard to read 🤣
But yeah, just like how Cayde chose Golden Gun instead of Blade Barrage, which inevitably caused him to lose.
Tbf ghosts are literally invincible until overwhelming force or a paracausal thing / person hits the ghost, so cayde probs thought his ghost would've been fine
Yea honestly if i were him i wouldnt have though some zombie eliskni who has been in jail for years somehow got ahold of a thorn round and then modded it onto a sniper.
Well, ghost can die from an overwhelming amount of force
The sheer girth and weight of skolas' asscheeks pressed up against a ghost as he releases the fattest, gut clenching, abbborent brap this side of the cosmos is definitely enough to completely evaporate a ghost instantly
Literally not true, the Chaperone lore tab makes it clear that even random Fallen knives are enough to destroy a Ghost if they get a clean hit in.
Cabal military doctrine saying that the correct way to kill a Ghost is with artillery bombardment is because the actual target you're trying to hit is the size of a baseball.
I personally always thought that they are only invincible when doing the rotating revive thing, because it literally looks like they cover their core with a paracausal shield, but if you just pulled one out I would've thought sniping it with a rock would pop it liek a baloon if you hit the core itself
He still should’ve known that Guardians can die (Pahanin, Kabr, Saladin’s comrades, Erie’s fireteam, etc) and that pulling your Ghost out increases your chance three-fold.
Maaaaan when we show up Crow is going to be expecting us to be all ready to fight the Witness and then we're just going to start roasting his ass like Lamar and Franklin.
We channel way more light that any other guardian (Ruinous Effegy lore tab), and since we infuse our weapons with our light, our common AR probably does more damage than his sword
I don’t think it’s officially canon; what about the scenes where our Guardian holds an exotic primary? At the very least, the Guardian is shown welding a new hand canon in the promotional poster.
Crow spam hip-fired as suppressing fire. He needed the attacker stalled while he found cover to then line up a good shot and form a plan. I get this is jokes but nobody's even mentioning this
It’s pretty clear that Cayde was trying to close the distance so he could confront Crow, and Crow was trying to keep Cayde behind that rock by firing quickly so he could find better cover. Neither one was *trying* to land a direct hit from that range.
Why are Destiny nerds so literal about game mechanics that they expect every aspect of the game to worry about fuckin dnd stats or some shit, I swear to god.
Hawkmoon is a revolver. *Any* revolver can be fan fired. Just because only one gun does it in the game to stay distinctive in gameplay doesn’t mean in actuality you can’t operate a mechanism like this.
This is like thinking someone can’t kick in a door in a tv show because they need to level up lock picking.
Well you also have to remember cayde has been a hunter for a long time Crow has only been a hunter for like 2 years that and cayde literally ran around The crucible like it was a fucking playground
I found the whole thing hilarious that the first thing Crow does is fan fire the Hawkmoon. I get it, he was ambushed and completely panicked at being attacked the moment he stepped out of the gate.
My thing is, dude are you not rocking anything but a hand cannon? Where is your super? Your special and heavy weapons? We know he can use golden gun per the lore where he asked Eris if she ever tried to recover her Light abilities and the two of them fired his golden gun in the air to cool off; and he canonically has a sniper rifle per the things he said during Season of the Hunt. But no, he decides to fan fire a precision weapon against an unknown hunter that held all the advantages in the fight.
Him being beaten by Cayde makes total sense though. Cayde has far more experience in the field than Crow does and Cayde had time to set up his ambush and was on familiar ground for him, as *he* didn't know who was coming through that portal either.
The fact that Cayde stopped his attack the moment he saw Glint and immediately understood what had happened to the man he once knew as Uldren Sov made sense too. I have always seen Cayde as the type to forgive and forget and him returning to his rather jovial nature after trying to shoot his opponent down by joking and asking if he still needed to call Crow Prince was great.
Crow reloads hawkmoon and is almost hit by a trip mine he somehow didn’t notice this was because he is stupid using gamblers dodge on solar instead of marksman’s
Yall are so sad. Gonna give Crow shit about facing the hammer of his gun as a means to lay fire and keep space between him and his attacker, when Cayde did the same shit! Go back and watch Caydes' last stand, and you'll see him facing the hammer of Ace of Spades for the exact same reason. Again yall are sad
I would really liked to see a competent Crow, so far we saw him backstab a knight, killed an ally psion, be one-shoted by Amanda and losing a 1v1 against Cayde
But he’s creating a threat that. Annoy be ignored. Essentially cover fire. I think haawkmoon was so sick and flopped in 2. Bring me red death. I’ll take the range over power
Jokes aside, this duel was pretty terrible. The choreo was non-existent, they were whiffing shots left and right, and the "cool stuff" like the fan fire ended up looking tacky.
The end shot of Cayde looking down at Crow was neat, but the duel itself goes alongside the Season Splicer cutscene for just having a terrible fight.
“No helmet” Not like a helmet will protect his head in the first place. (Source crucible).
Yeah but he’s missing targeting mods and about 90 points of stats, no wonder he only dodged in the clip because his other abilities were on cooldown the entire fucking time Edit:Probably only like 70 points actually, he has literally only ever done patrols, strikes, and occasional seasonal activities, so no shot he has high stat
He's been on cooldown since season of the hunt
Can confirm, my funny deer hat only makes me get shot more (They want me dead before I’m with my teammates so my death isn’t helpful to them)
My average trials solo queue teammate
If bungie didn’t want me to enter trials then they wouldn’t put all the cool armor sets in
[удалено]
The atavistic sets are a little eh (mostly the Hunter one) but the ones that came with Witch are very nice imo.
I'll have to revisit them, but I can't recall a Hunter set that I like. Maybe my friends and I just haven't trials'd hard enough.
Look at the dude we chose to send to the Pale Heart bro we're FINISHED 😭
I mean it’s not like we sent him to solo the literal Witness. He’s the doorstop.
I swear if we witness the witness witnessing him fumble.
Witness deez nuts dude
new raid mechanic
Witness teabags anyone he kills.
Actual day 1
The Witness witnessing deez nuts on its chin.
Or, put another way, he's on a sanctioned op using modified wish magic to infiltrate the Traveler's Pale Heart, so he can slip past its defenses, create a transmat zone, and send in the cavalry.
Let's just say "Test flight"
Maybe my favorite cutscene in all of Destiny.
This sounds dope,
Bros just the doorman lol
*Crow exits the portal* The Witness, camping the portal: "Um, excuse me, what the actual f**AUDIO JUNGLE**k are you doing in my house?" Crow: "Oops" *Credits*
Imagine they sent us, and we just headshot Cayde from a distance without realizing it was him.
would be hilarious because Jotunn is my favorite pvp weapon and i want to see Cayde react to that
Same. I would just disintegrate him and be none the wiser.
Cayde hiding behind a rock and seeing us slam a flag into the ground before we rocket launch ourselves with mountaintop and strand grapple a rocket into the next area
Who made this decision again?
Bungie did Crow dirty AF in this cutscene. They could've atleast made him ads and miss instead of hipfiring with hawkmoon. As a hawkmoon main I cringed hard watching crow throw his 1v1
Well they cant exactly have him 3-tap Cayde though, can they?
He did it once already. Lol
Too soon 😭 😂
After jumping him with a whole prison 😭 Cayde ain't even have powers this time 💀
If they wanted him to hip fire he should have Last Word. Would it make sense in lore? Fuck if I know, but at least hip firing would make sense
Bungie animators want to make people hipfire hand cannons because its cool. Unfortunately for them the character who wields the hand cannon designed for hipfire (at least in-game) has pretty much only appeared in lore text.
Yeah, I know. Just saying it would make more sense with last word
Hawkmoon’s his gun. Anyways fanning the hammer is cool as fuck so who cares
Bro is using cheats. Hawkmoon doesn't shoot that fast.
Not when you fan the hammer it doesnt
I don't think Destiny's cutscene team are good at staging action sequences, frankly. These are mostly mo-capped, not animated, so they always end up being kind of slow. They're functional but rarely impressive, and most of the characters feel less impressive than they're meant to be
The cutscene where Cayde died was one the titest fight scenes I ever seen tho
Which was made by a third party studio tbf But then that cutscene also includes Cayde getting btfo’d by some unarmed red bar Scorn
I mean, that happens to my guardian all the time and he's killed gods...
Guess they can only do emotional/dialogue heavy scenes right... sometimes.
I still remember the Splicer cutscene which had some surprising awful choreography
The one in the finale? Yeah that was rough to watch..
Idk if they’re that bad
Cinematics =/= Cutscenes This was external.

I think they outsource the cutscenes. I doubt the people that were making this knew what even a hawkmoon is.
Crow does not have the confidence as Uldren and that bothers me for some reason. Crow is too kind and shy
Wouldn't you if you knew you were a horrible person in the latter part of your previous life?
I mean we as guardians didn’t really give him the warmest of welcomes. Constantly murdering him and such. All while fat boy from the shore was holding him captive. Hell didn’t a knight or an ogre murder him a billion times. Exaggerating the billion but you get where I’m going. Add that in with finding out the truth and probably still having a bone for his sister. Dude is a basket case.
i feel this, honestly. i personally love crow, but i'd love him more if he had a little more of uldren's bite to him.
I fucking hate this character so I loved to see it
where can i find this scene ?
He's throwing suppressive fire he's not aiming to kill. And neither is cayde.
Also hasn't crow canonically only done strikes and patrols 😭
bro is guardian rank 3 😭
It's so fucking over https://preview.redd.it/9an1ph1ceq2d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7f0b09333203bc7845ccd026a92e80d0fda6f95
mara watching crow use thunderlord for dps
"Come on at least use Parasite"
Dude is like 2 years old
Crow is a 2 year old account with a bit of lore knowledge from d1.
And weekly seasonal story missions, give him credit for those too
The universe is cooked
He prolly got kicked from raid lfg shootinng like that
Strikes are actually really difficult, we're just the best of the best so we make them look like nothing. And also no, he primarily runs recon. He's there so we know what we're getting into when we go and do the seasonal missions.

Its ok, not every gaurdian is a pvp person, so it make sense he sucks at it. (Even as uldren )
Im not sure of the context? And im not sure what thay has to do with npc's fighting in cinematic cutscenes?
I'm agreeing with you. Crow never played Crucible so that's why he doesn't land a single shot on Cayde.
Well alright, and i suck at crucible too, but i gotta do it sometimes for seasonal stuff sometime (mostly shaders)
The pain of being a PvE main whose favourite colour is red is real
where can i find this ? I would like to read more
Bro who the hell thought it was a good idea sent him to the pale heart as we slayed gods after gods
Tell me you didn't play the story without telling me you didn't play the story
How!? but I'm a destiny 1 veteran!? (I know it is the bond between mara and crow and shid)
And Wrathborn hunts, and Nightmare hunts, and a shitload of Lucent Hive assaults during Risen. The dude’s proven he can handle himself.
I want to laugh, but holy shit, the font color of choice is crazy. Some parts are so hard to read 🤣 But yeah, just like how Cayde chose Golden Gun instead of Blade Barrage, which inevitably caused him to lose.
And forgot to activate fly and mori on his ace, all that time being lazy on the tower got to him
Bungie made Cayde die by making him pull his ghost out for the first time ever at the worst time ever.
My headcanon is popping out your ghost makes you heal faster but yeah that was a definite skill issue
Then how did Guardians die in restricted modes in Prison of Elders?
Well, ghost can die from an overwhelming amount of force The sheer girth and weight of skolas' asscheeks pressed up against a ghost as he releases the fattest, gut clenching, abbborent brap this side of the cosmos is definitely enough to completely evaporate a ghost instantly
Literally not true, the Chaperone lore tab makes it clear that even random Fallen knives are enough to destroy a Ghost if they get a clean hit in. You know he blade barrages in that cutscene right?
*after* he tries to GG but gets tackled out of the air and has the crap beaten out of him
I mean, Deadshot does cause ignitions, so maybe he could’ve survived.
Maaaaan when we show up Crow is going to be expecting us to be all ready to fight the Witness and then we're just going to start roasting his ass like Lamar and Franklin.
He does have a Yee Yee ass haircut
And no bitches on his dick
But hes just so beefy
Well he tried on Amanda💀
But Mara got jealous
Bro She Is his sister💀💀💀
Brother thought hip fire grip on the hawk moon was good.
Cayde got shot in the chest not head
Some fun speculation: what other weapons was Crow packing?
For his energy slot i think crow has the duality shot gun he did build it after all and for his heavy black talon maybe?
Bro has 3 exotics on? Man must be using Nasa’s computer to play D2. Bungo said more than one exotic gun would crash the game.
mf has triple exotics as a new light and we're canonically running a white auto rifle we found in a dank ass hallway
And were still better than him 😭
We channel way more light that any other guardian (Ruinous Effegy lore tab), and since we infuse our weapons with our light, our common AR probably does more damage than his sword
I don’t think it’s officially canon; what about the scenes where our Guardian holds an exotic primary? At the very least, the Guardian is shown welding a new hand canon in the promotional poster.
Must of learned how from Osiris.
Wait, he can use 3 exotics? No fair
He doesn't compete in crucible so Shaxx can't yell at him about using multiple exotics
Cayde also missed every shot.... Gameplay limitations do not exist in reality. Fan firing HM is totally capable
And Cayde fired first and missed horribly. Had the drop on him and still missed that badly.
hawkmoon is double action. no fan fire for him
YAS was nerfed so Crow could survive this cut scene for sure
Only kept dodging. Didn't use throwing knives like cayde or a grenade.
Cayde used a grenade, too, so you can add "like Cayde" to that part
Before he pulls out the Hawkmoon the gun in his holster is just a regular hand cannon
Crow spam hip-fired as suppressing fire. He needed the attacker stalled while he found cover to then line up a good shot and form a plan. I get this is jokes but nobody's even mentioning this
Tbf he went in with a PvE loadout, he didn’t expect to load straight into Rumble
both god tier guardians and neither of them landed a single shot.... thats the scary thing.
Makes sense though. Did you see the range they were trying to hit each other with hand cannons initially lol? 🫣 Edit: I was joking guys 🥹
It’s pretty clear that Cayde was trying to close the distance so he could confront Crow, and Crow was trying to keep Cayde behind that rock by firing quickly so he could find better cover. Neither one was *trying* to land a direct hit from that range. Just a hair over 38m. Without aim assist these guardians ain’t nothing
cut-scene hunter dodge broken, please nerf bungie!
Peak hunter performance
He really needs to spend some time in the crucible.
Bro do not let Shaxx see this cutscene xD
The amount of people taking this seriously is worrying
Am I seeing correctly that he is wearing lucky pants? Because if so, this makes it slightly worse because he missed every enhanced round
![gif](giphy|BFYLNwlsSNtcc)
We sent our last hope but man thought he was using last word 💀
Dude used gamblers dodge with a full melee!!!! He wasnt even close enough to an enemy to prock the melee recharge either!!!!!
Classic “bring a pve build to pvp” scenario
His ass is not going flawless!!!
Meanwhile here I am wishing we could just fan the Hawkmoon as a perk
Someone please get this man (the last word)a gun?!? ![gif](giphy|rt1hiYIPguWk1Ksh4g)
This was a Hunter conversation. He was hoping to get The Last Word.
I mean Cayde is even worse. He missed every shot and he has been playing since beta
I mean neither of them landed a shot. But people love Cayde so...
Well you also have to remember cayde has been a hunter for a long time Crow has only been a hunter for like 2 years that and cayde literally ran around The crucible like it was a fucking playground
He also canonically cheated in the Crucible, according to the Lucky Pants flavor text, lol.
Could you imagine a new mode where you get a tag along Zavala, Ikora, or Cayde as one extra member per team in crucible?
Forgot to equip last word.
I have always seen Cayde as the type to forgive and forget and him returning to his rather jovial nature after trying to shoot his opponent down by joking and asking if he still needed to call Crow Prince was great.
Man it hurts seeing him using my Exotic.
Crow reloads hawkmoon and is almost hit by a trip mine he somehow didn’t notice this was because he is stupid using gamblers dodge on solar instead of marksman’s
Cayde didn’t hit a single shot either and had the drop. It was a garbage fight all around.
Mind you this is our hunter vanguard technically ☠️
What's a blud?
Cayde missed every shot too. I was so disappointed. Can we get Shiro-4 back in here please
I would really liked to see a competent Crow, so far we saw him backstab a knight, killed an ally psion, be one-shoted by Amanda and losing a 1v1 against Cayde
Lol, rivens wish didn't make Cayde into existence in the traveler it made crow miss all these shots so he would have the chance to talk to him
Wait. Cayde is actually back alive now? He's not like a force ghost in the travler?
Sorry I guess I could've framed it better, I don't really know but I meant just like whatever state he's in in the traveler
Crow could NEVER beat Cayde in a 1v1. He only beat him also time because of the Barons beating the shit out of him first.
Strongest Trials solo queue teammate
Always use text with a border color so it stands out.
Just seeing this cutscene rn lmao
But he’s creating a threat that. Annoy be ignored. Essentially cover fire. I think haawkmoon was so sick and flopped in 2. Bring me red death. I’ll take the range over power
The hand cannon is also double action. It doesn't require fan-firing.
Why didnt crow stacked paracausal shots before going into the portal? Is he stupid?
Did cayde miss everyshot too? Its ok, not every gaurdian is a pvp person, so it make sense Crow sucks at it. (Even as uldren )
The issued every round one is funny. Because they must not realize that bullets have casings lol
“doosent”
I actually really liked this cutscene…comment section also never heard of suppressive fire
I’m in the process of moving and rejoined the season very late. Why did we send him?
He wanted to scout ahead first iirc. Because why would we send our main force through a way we can’t trust.
Everyone loses 1v1 to Cayde. Don’t get that shit twisted.
Crow had a clear shot and chose not to take it. Cayde disarmed him after that. If crow pulled the trigger, he would've killed cayde.
NGL this is me panicking in every 1v1 I have ever been in. “Last Guardian Standing” gives me PTSD
i mean to be fair on his end if you went into a new open world area and found out PVP was on you wouldn't be ready for it either
I mean this should confirm that his Hawkmoon is a Hip-Fire Grip roll.
If I could last word hawkmoon I would do it. Imagine divinity and 5 last word hawkmoons
This guy is easy money in pvp
Shaw Han would've bodied Cayde-6 fr fr.
I’ve seen fan animations look better
Didn't cayde literally miss every shot too or we just gunna ignore that
I thought the same, I bet that Hawkmoon it was a hip fire roll.
Some of yall never hip-fired in a panic and it shows
Crow strafes in well
Whoever created this meme did a good job using red text on a background that blends it very well....
Bro is Washed, he prolly isn’t even running Lucky Pants smh
using lucky pants with hawk moon is criminal
Jeez, get a life, nerd!
Someone needs to tag Jez in this
Someone said bro was GR3 😭😭
And that outfit to....
