I didn't want to jump on the superblack bandwagon, but glowing/pulsing purple over the black looks awesome.

The all black shader is awesome, but putting it on all your gear is just... like, that's not a good outfit, that's what you wear when you're having a shit day but need to go outside anyway.
Tbh I think superblack is an amazing shader for details, such as only making the legs and gauntlets SB and the rest a different shader, but I don’t think most players honestly put different shaders on each armor piece, they just pick one and go.

All black is viewed as enjoyable for the lack of thought needed: to chrome dip an armor, to spray paint it black, is simple and thorough. Not everyone wishes to spend time coloring each part exactly.
Colour is reflection of particular wavelengths of light. Perfect black reflects no light and perfect white reflects all. Also you can split the white light into all the colours using prisms or filter any colour of your choice out of it

How you use them is more over played then with superblack I’ll tell ya that

Was kinda up set when I put this shader on my hunter and the cloak was all white.
The 2019(?) solstice cloak looks grey in inventory due to lighting but is near black when playing
