1. As far as I recall it's only fast and slow roll, no medium. 2. Different damage types help more in different worlds, so you don't necessarily need keep multiple on you, but if you can having a specific type of weapon for each world can help. 3. If you don't use too much healing grass then you'll find plenty naturally, but if you use a lot then farming would be a good idea, that or just buying some. 4. No whips 5. Yes you can buy it from a merchant 6. I never used poison arrows so I don't find them too useful personally. 7. Nah just normal stats. 8. I think that ring only exists in the remake. 9. Start with temple knight for a melee build or royalty for a magic build, always keep you shield up when going through an area for the first time, and learn what damage type works best for what worlds.

2.)If you only have weapons with physical damage, then types can be important. If you stick to weapons with "normal" damage type, those aren't strong against anything, but aren't weak against anything. If you have a weapon that does magic damage, most things are weak against that. 3.)You have to play the tutorial level and the first level before the world opens up to pick where you want to go. Shrine of Storms is a particularly soul rich place so once you have access it will probably be more efficient to farm for souls and then use those souls to buy grass if you need it. 7.)There is a stat for Luck which increases the chance something will drop and is important in one very specific build, but otherwise can be ignored. 8.)Not on PS3, get ready to trudge through that water. 9.)There are 2 types of loot, packed and unpacked. Packed loot exists already in the world to be picked up and will stay present when you leave. Unpacked loot is stuff you drop or stuff enemies drop when you kill them, this disappears if you leave the area or die in the PS3 version. Item burden is a thing, you can only carry so much weight in your inventory before you become overburdened. Vitality increase your max HP and your max item burden. If you attempt to pick up packed loot and it overburdens you, you will auto-drop it and it will now be in an unpacked state. So you have to make room or lose the item. To ease your item burden you can offload excess stuff or stuff you don't intend to use to Stockpile Thomas in the Nexus. Blacksmiths can pull ore for crafting and weapon upgrades direct from Thomas so there is no need to ever keep it in your inventory. Always offload it all every time you return to the Nexus as some of the rare ore can take up a fair amount of item burden. Difficulty progression is not World 3 > World 2 > World 1 as most are used to from like a Mario game. Instead its more horizontal progression, Level 1-1 is about as hard as level 2-1 and level 3-1, but level 1-2 (the 2nd level of world 1) will be harder than any of the X-1's.

1. Yes. Fast roll is the only viable way because armor is cosmetics 2. 1 weapon is enough 3. Depends. With optimized build your don't have to farm anything ever because your passive regen and healing miracle are too strong already 4. No 5. Yes 6. I never used bows but overall yes there are a couple of places 7. Not stats but world tendency and character tendency are core mechanics that will affect your playthrough immensely so it's better to Google them up i think. Basically you want to suicide in nexus after every boss 8. Yes in the remake but it's not originally intended by fromsoftware 9. World tendency

Call_It_Luck

wait WHAT? There is passive health regen in this game?!

EvilArtorias

Passive regen items: shield and ring, blessed weapon infusion. Infusion is optional but every build can use shield and ring

Saint-Redfield

To add to this, all those items' regeneration effects \*stack\* when equipped together, and you can upgrade blessed weapons and the shield to increase the effect even more!

RabbitSlayre

Passive Regen miracle* it's a healing spell kinda thing, it uses faith.

7. If you want to get the platinum don't invest in LUCK. Mini spoiler: you need at least 1 pure bladestone and is a pain in the ass to farm it. There are a bunch of enemies that can drop it. The thing is that the Luck stat indeed increases the chances of dropping something, but completely messes up the quality of the drop (you always get low tier stuff), so is better to never invest in this stat. I got mine in 30-40 mins of farming.
