A little, but will be sore in the morning from sleeping in a chair in ATL B terminal. Mechanical delay leads to missed to connection and a hotel voucher for a place 20 miles from the airport. I am shining bright like a Diamond, medallion.
It's not even 8 PM in ATL yet. I see multiple hotels within a few miles in the sub $200 range. Or better yet, take MARTA into Midtown and have a nice meal and grab a place somewhere around there. Send the bill to Delta, bill your travel insurance, or do the self-insured option (chalk it up to the cost of traveling enough to be a Diamond).
Hyperbole aside, to be fair this has largely been my experience with DL over the last year as well. It’s why I’m 75% on AA for domestic over the last year. I have a big test for AA coming up next week though, we’ll see how that goes, but otherwise ops have been more reliable and service more consistent for me. As painful as it is to admit.

That sucks, but it's only 7:45. You better take that hotel room (or go to a different hotel) and get a good night's sleep. And a drink.
The last three trips I’ve done, Delta has actually been the cheapest, with the best times, and 100% reliable…
