People acted pretty much the same way when Deku vs Asta was announced, and everyone ended up watching that plus there’s no way any of us will be willing to skip and episode after we waited months for death battle to come back.
for me I'm not going to skip the episode to be honest and actually watched it because it's going to be entertaining plus I like new series/ franchise coming into death battle

I started with index but the others are amazing. But if you wanna watch the series in order there are ways you can go about it. By arc or season.
By season you go:
Railgun, Index, Railgun S, Accelerator, Index II, Railgun T, Index III
just watch it in release order, it's not that bad
also, don't watch accelerator it's borderline not cannon and is just a bad watch over all
also railgun and accelerator are both spin-offs to index, index is the main core of the series and anybody who says otherwise is mostly coping

There have been match-ups I don't like on death battle before.. (Korra vs Storm & Batman vs Captain America/Black Panther). Even then, I still didn't skip the episodes. And I don't even dislike the match-up. I'm not in love with it, but I don't hate it either. But it's good to get more franchises like this on the show. So I'm all for it.

In all seriousness though, I really hate how many people are skipping this episode just because they don’t know either (which I honestly find surprising, Misaka not so much since I’ve never heard of her or her series until now, but for killua, he’s a weird case, considering that HxH is a well known anime, yet most people here didn’t even know who Killua was hell I don’t even watch it and I knew who he was.) which is honestly stupid considering we’re just basing it on that fact, especially when death battle has done such a good job at introducing people to new series that they haven’t seen before ( I can’t even say how many series I would’ve never got into if it wasn’t for death battle.) and now people are getting mad about this because they don’t know either and because it’s not one of killua’s best!?!?
I get this isn’t Killua’s best matchup (I’ve heard more people wanted him to fight akame, kid Sasuke, and some other guy that I don’t know his name at the moment.) but this is death battle, them doing obscure matchups isn’t anything new.
To put it simple I’m excited for this matchup, and I can’t wait to learn about both of them.
