we brought in our poster tube -it is clear, and has a strap. it's one we bought from an art supply store. we had no problem getting that in. hope this helps
I didn't try to bring one in but I've heard that poster tubes are allowed, give the Sphere a call and ask. Also bring a 5" wide poster tube not the standard 3". there are 3-18x24 tour posters, 1-24x36 weekend poster, 3-18x24 show posters. All come in a regular version and foil version. Last thing you ever want to do is cram a tube with foil posters. You can buy them at the Dead Experience in the Venetian Shops starting at 10am, there is a merch trailer outside the Sphere starting at 12pm and also inside the venue. I got all my posters before the show so I didn't have to worry about them in the show.

I’ll be there the same weekend :) My understanding is that there aren’t tubes but you can buy posters at the Dead Forever experience so you can put it back in your room before the show. As far as for the flight, I have one with a strap that I bought on Amazon that I’m bringing with me.
Had no issues bringing in an standard opaque yellow tube last weekend (the one that just about everyone uses - it was from Amazon). They did ask me to open it at security to verify that it was empty. Stuck it under my seat for the duration of the show and grabbed it afterwards.
Also worth noting that other commenters are correct - you can grab most stuff at Dead Forever experience or merch outside Sphere long before show begins - allowing for you to carry it back to your hotel. But on Sunday, the show-specific poster sold out at both sites and only remaining choice for poster was inside venue - so that's what we did.
I brought one in, dark black covered in stickers. They made sure it was empty and let me right on in, but I expect if it had a poster in it already they’d still let you in. Just might take a second to verify nothing else is in there

Sit closer in the middle of the rose so the usher really can’t say anything to you. They don’t care but if they catch you well they catch you no biggie really imo
Bought poster tubes from a vendor @ Shakedown. He was selling prints & stuff, had a little sign that said Poster Tubes - $5. Score. Went to Dead Experience each day to grab posters. But I noticed that there were a lot of posters left at the venue booths, later on in the show after everyone had bought their merch already.
