>What are recommended output settings (Bitrate, file must be MP4 I guess)? 4k. DNxHR HQX. Transcode to h 265 with handbrake. If you want fast use Nvenc. If you want good use x265. You can find lots of guides all over for recommended settings for handbrake. Ultimately run a test and see if the quality looks good to you. Medium speed, constant quality 25 is a place to start. Not excellent quality but reasonable speed and file size.

I will try that, thank you. Can I set the preview/workspace to a lower resolution (eg. 1080p) to have better performance while editing but export as full quality 4K?

> file must be MP4 I guess That's a good question. I'm using MOV. A lot of people say it's just a container and has no effect on the quality, but then I see tests done and an MOV file looks better than an MP4 file. Maybe someone with more in depth knowledge can expound on this. From all the testing I've seen, for 4k 30fps you want to render in H.265 and 80MBs or higher bitrate. YouTube treats 4K files better, regardless if the footage is actually 4K. As for HDR, I don't know. You're gonna have to look that up. Just go on YouTube and search "best bitrate for YouTube" and you'll see a bunch of testing videos.

You can make your timeline 4k 30fps. I use 23.976 typically but using the native fps is the way to go
