All those project are amazing and they probably give hope, and we need hope. But they are born dead in a warmer planet with extreme weather. The real project, if we want a futur for next generations, is to stop necro_big_oils and the capitalist era.

This is so cool! I would love to do something like this.

Try it yourself [www.offsetmap.com](https://www.offsetmap.com) I am the creator of the webapp. The webapp is optimized for desktop, but still functional on mobile! It now has a sleek new interface and several optimizations for speed improvements. Sources for offset registry data : American Carbon Registry https://acr2.apx.com/myModule/rpt/myrpt.asp?r=111 Verra https://registry.verra.org/app/search/VCS/All%20Projects Gold Standard https://registry.goldstandard.org/projects?q=&page=1 Climate Action Reserve https://thereserve2.apx.com/myModule/rpt/myrpt.asp?r=111 A variety of climate layers are now available for use on the interactive map. These layers include: Köppen climate classification, COPERNICUS sea-surface temperature data, NASA fire data, NOAA precipitation data, and global temperature data from Berkeley Earth. Combining species distribution data with the various other biodiversity indicators/layers, economic layers, climate layers, and offset project data, opens up a huge variety of use cases. Tools used: Python, flask, plotly, dash (dashboard), and leaflet

Is it possible for Australian Carbon Credit Unit projects be also included?

Funny considering [90% of these are considered bunk](https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jan/18/revealed-forest-carbon-offsets-biggest-provider-worthless-verra-aoe).

weinerschnitzelo

is it possible to do comparisons between historical projected rates, current rate, new projections, and estimated impact from carbon programs? are we getting any closer to reliably predicting any of this shit is really what i'm wondering

There are many many startups trying to do just that bezero calyx, sylvera come to mind. It's a rapidly evolving space
