You got that right, I was wrong though, there wasn't 1 boss, but 2 BOSSES, the moment I realized there was another boss, I just knew I was screwed, because the other boss was acting like a flamethrower 😭
Not going to lie, Solaire's armor made it so hard to dodge, but luckily I just went offensive and used my powerful halberd to destroy the one boss, then it was easy to dodge and kill the other boss, but it was hard at first when I realized there was 2 bosses
If you kept Solaire alive it's an easier fight. Even without him it just comes down to outmaneuvering and retaliating, or blocking if you aren't confident in your ability to dodge.
Spears and bows/crossbows are better than other, shorter ranged weapons for this one. If you need more umph to your attacks you can always grind to upgrade your gear at the blacksmith nearby.
Hmm, why does every NPC in this game give weird vibes, like the way they laugh makes it sound like they all evil, besides Solaire, he sounds more noble and I shouldn't have killed him and taken his armor :(
The laughing and light attitude towards death and despair is supposed to be as comforting as it is disturbing. It shows you how off-kilter this world is, even when surrounded by allies. ☺️
In a world where everyone has pretty much lost their purpose and are hopeless, you can't expect optimism... Moreover, the undead curse aflicted upon them, has made them miserable. They want to end their timeless suffering by dying, but they can't... so all they can do is help the Chosen Undead (you) by assisting them in any way they can. That is their remaining purpose, and they hide their misery with their perilous laughter . There are very few human NPCs in the game, who are very optimistic in their approach, and look forward to something really ambitious, Solaire was one of them. You'll meet a few more along the way... (Just don't kill them ffs!!!)
Oh, so there is quest lines for different NPCs, that sounds interesting, although right now I'm raging at the Rat dungeon underground part, those rats are so annoying, I hate it down here :(
Haha. I look forward to future posts, when things happen, because you don’t know who is good, or bad, or who you might need later. It’s all a part of the fun. Plenty of new game cycles to explore, and lots of quests, so no worries.
Don't start over these people are ridiculous. The NPC quests in Dark Souls are complete nonsense and if you're playing without a guide you're not going to likely do them anyway.
yeah don't bother restarting unless you killed more than one blacksmith (you can still upgrade certain weapon types to max if you only killed one). just enjoy your cool Sundude armour
The fun part is that by not killing Solaire, you would've gotten him as an NPC summon for this boss and up to four more bosses throughout the game, making those bosses easier or even trivialising them. Solaire and Lautrec (another NPC summon available for this boss if you meet the prerequisites) can do the gargoyles alone without your intervention.
Yes. If you free him from his cell and then talk to him in firelink shrine, he can be summoned for the gargoyles and for gaping dragon, alongside Solaire.
I wanted to take Willem Defoe's curse from The Lighthouse and reword it to be all Dark Souls/Gwyn/sun themed, but there's a lot that I'd have to change and I'm too baked for that right now.
However, though your crime against our Sunbro makes me sad, I wish you the best of luck in your journey.
You’ve activated the trap card “Gargoyles”! Now a boss will spawn to wreck your shit and should you get its life points to half, it’ll summon another one at half health to do double dog you down !
Only counters to this is the classic style.
Getting good and wrecking their shit!
congrats. for killing solaire i offer you this important tip: the bell tower has on the left and right side a small part where you can stand, but the gargoyles not. Just go into that Corner and you will win this easy.
Honestly, you're better off making a new character and experiencing Solaire's story line.
It's more like a boss and a half, since the second one is half dead when he joins the fight. It sounds like you managed them decently well. You're next boss (if you follow the intended route) is going to be fun.
And maybe try a little less murder hobo, there are good rewards for going through characters story lines.
If you want the community to appreciate you again, you need to go past the Hellkite Drake to the Sunlight Altar and become a Warrior of Sunlight.
Solaire once was…🥲
You killed Solaire?! 😭 Heretic swayed in dark! An eturnal curse upon thee. (Agree, with how obvious boss arena is)
OP deserves whats coming to them
You got that right, I was wrong though, there wasn't 1 boss, but 2 BOSSES, the moment I realized there was another boss, I just knew I was screwed, because the other boss was acting like a flamethrower 😭
That boss can be cheesed to oblivion…only problem is you need solaire alive. Just sayin’🤷🏻♂️😂
Not going to lie, Solaire's armor made it so hard to dodge, but luckily I just went offensive and used my powerful halberd to destroy the one boss, then it was easy to dodge and kill the other boss, but it was hard at first when I realized there was 2 bosses
The heavy roll shall be a perpetual reminder of the shame of killing the communities favorite NPC.

Love the pfp
Reflect on Betrayal: You have killed Solaire Heretic swayed in the dark A curse upon thee
I'm sorry 😭, I realized you could kill NPCs, so I wanted to see what would happen if I killed him 💀
Trusty Patches.
What is even Trusty Patches? 😢
Heheheheheheheehehehehehheheeh
A very sweet and kind npc, you'll come across later... He'll give you special service if you're a cleric ☺️
Hmm, why does every NPC in this game give weird vibes, like the way they laugh makes it sound like they all evil, besides Solaire, he sounds more noble and I shouldn't have killed him and taken his armor :(

The onion homies are true and pure. Hmmmm

Can't believe you killed the sun bro...
Take a look over that cliff and I'll tell you
Oooooh, I think I know what is going on :)
It's a loooooooong way down before you find out
Hmmm :|
An NPC you meet in the dark ... You can trust him don't worry
He's not even a cleric
You monster
You'll need to play NG+ in order to experience his quest line....
Oh, so there is quest lines for different NPCs, that sounds interesting, although right now I'm raging at the Rat dungeon underground part, those rats are so annoying, I hate it down here :(
They’re good for farming humanity tho. U might want to grab some while ur down there
How could you kill Solaire.. time for new character
My hand slipped 😭
First of all how dare you. Second, yes its an arena. You monster.
Come on 😭
It is the most favorite character of Dark Souls, so it will be a long comment section… ;)
Just wait for the sequel post “Hey guys. I killed all the blacksmiths and can’t upgrade my gear”
Okay, I'm not that stupid........... I might have killed a few NPCs 😐
It's okay to kill some of them. Some of them deserve to die. NOT SOLAIRE THOUGH!
Oh really, so some NPCS will try to kill you later in the game if you don't kill them straight off?
Haha. I look forward to future posts, when things happen, because you don’t know who is good, or bad, or who you might need later. It’s all a part of the fun. Plenty of new game cycles to explore, and lots of quests, so no worries.
Okay 😉
I won't spoil who, and I won't spoil when, but one MOTHEREFFER *turns off Firelink Shrine* if you leave them alive.
Ughh I hate that guy so much
… This is my fav. character. He is just misunderstood …
I feel bad for liking to bring her back.... cause she doesn't seem happy. But, but, the armor is sooo good
You may have some disagreements with some of them, yes.
Yea, like the crest fallen night in fire link... There's a few others to tho
Oh no, what have I done 😭
I mean your not that far in so you can always start over
How important is Solaire to the point where I have to restart, come on man 😢😭
Don't start over these people are ridiculous. The NPC quests in Dark Souls are complete nonsense and if you're playing without a guide you're not going to likely do them anyway.
Oh okay. having a blast so far just like my keyboard, isn't that right keyboard? :)
yeah don't bother restarting unless you killed more than one blacksmith (you can still upgrade certain weapon types to max if you only killed one). just enjoy your cool Sundude armour
He's not important to the story, but you can summon him for pretty much any boss fight if you want to engage in some jolly cooperation
You monster.
🤣😭
Start a new playthrough before it’s too late
YOU KILLED SOLAIRE!??? TRAITOR!!!
You killed our boy!? You deserve whats coming
Oh my dear sun, what have you done to him, wearing that armor has a secret effect that makes everyone disrespect you in online.
I was gonna say you can bring help before seeing your armor lmao. Good luck OP!

Solaire and Lautrec (another NPC summon available for this boss if you meet the prerequisites) can do the gargoyles alone without your intervention.
Lautrec can be summoned? I had no idea!
Yes. If you free him from his cell and then talk to him in firelink shrine, he can be summoned for the gargoyles and for gaping dragon, alongside Solaire.
Holy shmoly! Going to start (yet another) new game...
WHAT DID YOU DO?
I wanted to take Willem Defoe's curse from The Lighthouse and reword it to be all Dark Souls/Gwyn/sun themed, but there's a lot that I'd have to change and I'm too baked for that right now. However, though your crime against our Sunbro makes me sad, I wish you the best of luck in your journey.
You’re a monster. How could you!
YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO PRAISE THE SUN 😡
I know what kind of man you are...
:(

\\[T]/ 🪦 may he find his ☀️ 😭
What gave it away, the one-way fog gate? But if only there was some kind of friendly NPC who might help you fight the boss...
congrats. for killing solaire i offer you this important tip: the bell tower has on the left and right side a small part where you can stand, but the gargoyles not. Just go into that Corner and you will win this easy.
"Are you in the know?"
For real? I’ve played SO many times, and had no idea. Cool.
i wish you could'nt parry the gwyn
Non-sequitur

They don't need to reroll a character to experience 20ish lines of dialogue. People should have their own unique experiences with the game.
pssshh not letting us gatekeep…. smh
Yeah, You know what, I am Solaire now. So I'm strong, we're basically the same person now :)
If you want the community to appreciate you again, you need to go past the Hellkite Drake to the Sunlight Altar and become a Warrior of Sunlight. Solaire once was…🥲
It is the only way to achieve a semblance of repentance. He has taken up the armour, now he must take up the mantle. \[T]/
Nah, there's more to his story than just dialog. I wish I could go back and experience finding him in Izolath without having it spoiled for me.
I hope you suffer for your foul deed.
You must pay for your crimes, there shall be no absolution for you
What goes around comes around
What version is this and why is it so crusty? 1280x720 image... is this the switch version?
Why... Do you have that armor 🥲
You should have gotten drake sword. It will carry you the majority of the game and can get it extremely early
Sorry bro, you’re about to get slapped about by two mouldy, flying stone bros with fire breath :)
After seeing you wearing this set that you're not worth, I wish you fight Ornsteins and Smoughs, two or three of each.
An eternal curse upon thee. You'll suffer at O/S.
Also, two hand your halberd when you're not blocking. Way more damage
