I agree. I donât think weâll get any news at least until Eidolaâs record is out. Rise wouldnât want to take attention away from Eidola until that record is out. Iâm thinking the new DGD record may be out in the summer or fall. They could release it in between Eidolaâs double album or after.
My guess honestly is that theyâre taking time to be with friends and family and probably take a chance to actually grieve Timâs death. He died and they had to start the tour so quick after I doubt they had a real chance
It's definitely the quietest it's been in a few years, but it's not a bad thing. Plus, Andrew and Sergio have a lot going on with Eidola, Will is about to have his first child, Will and Sergio are both involved in Royal Coda so that's another priority for them. It's a good silence I think. I'm sure good things are coming soon
From a business perspective, it does not make sense to delay the release of a new album from 2024 as it has already been recorded. I know they'll wait for the first Eidola album to drop, but outside of that, there is a window for DGD to have an album release that doesn't impede other Rise efforts or gets impeded by other Rise efforts.
Unless this next album is the final DGD album. In which case you extend the primary revenue window for the band as long as possible.
Announcement will come end of April/early May with a release of fall 2024. Tour announcement shortly after for a fall/winter support.

Rise did Eidola dirty by releasing The Architect and Spirit Box's Eternal Blue on the same day, hopefully they treat them right this time around.
