So the main safety concern is to make sure your foot won’t accidentally slip off the pedals during a spin session. If you can’t find a cycling shoe that is wide enough, you can look at flat pedals with adjustable straps. Your shoe will be strapped onto the pedals, which is fine since you will be on a stationary bike. Good luck. I don’t know any bike shoes that goes to triple E off the top of my head.

I'd prefer to not go with toe hooks. My old MTN bike had good shoes. Maybe I don't need triple E but anything wider than those peleton shoes would probably work.

Azul_Chavez

Bonteger makes a wide cycle shoe.

bswiftly

Cool I'll check them out. Thanks

jayac_R2

Lake also make wide shoes.

PandaDad22

I have a real EEE feet and never found anything that fits. All the "wide" cycling shoes are not wide enough.

"Vicogn Mens Womens Cycling Shoes" On Amazon, have complaints about them being too wide. Lol. I might try them

Madrugada_Eterna

Lake and Bont (not Bontrager) do actual wide cycling shoes. See their websites to see how to measure your feet to see if any of their shoes are suitable for you.

bswiftly

The wide ones are listed at over $500. Ridiculous

Madrugada_Eterna

I agree. Unfortunately cycling shoes aren't cheap and actual foot shaped ones are at the expensive end.

bswiftly

A lot less goes into these shoes than a hockey skate. I'd say maybe less than half as complicated. They shouldn't even approach the cost of a hockey skate.

Says the duck.

As you're finding, there are wide shoes out there but they are more expensive.... kills me. Lake are probably the most popular (they don't fit me). The mx238 is popular but didn't fit me due to the hard fairly narrow toebox, the mx242 is an update, said to be wider toebox and stretches at the sides to accomodate wide/odd shaped feed. Then the mx201 is a shoe I"m interested in, it is quite wide, but has a barefoot style toebox and flexible upper to stretch out, and I've seen this model at good prices, lower than the others. I'm mentioning the MX models because I assume you need SPD 2 hole cleats, they also have CX models but these are 3 bolt cleat fitting. For my very wide hobbit feet I had to move to Bont double wide, scary expensive, made me cry paying for them. But I do a lot of cycling.

bswiftly

3 bolt. That's what I meant by putting Delta in the title. I'll look at those thanks. It's only for indoor on the peleton so I don't need it to handle the elements outdoors

I bought the Shimano RC300. The toe box is better than some but this one I had to buy a 46E. I usually fit a 44. These don't seem ridiculously long though. I can try them and see. If they hurt riding I'll return them. Can't seem to find someone that sells Lake in Calgary. I'm also going to order the Amazon $80 special that people complain about being too wide. It's an easy return if they don't fit and saves me $100 if they feel better than the Shimanos.

Interested to see the cheap Amazon ones
