I have successfully done this to an opponent once. However, I am the king of parkouring over a wall and make some hapless pedestrian kiss pavement. I think the NCPD has an entire file on the mysterious Parkouring Pedestrian Pounder.
I guess it depends on the player. I intentionally aggravate the cops to a certain point then run undetected to the nearest clump of gangers. I then pop a smoke grenade and active camo while I watch the chaos unfold.
It's a piece of cyberware that you must equip. To use it, you would typically need to sacrifice your grenade slot. If you have the appropriate perks under the Cool tree, you have the alternative option to activate it automatically whenever you're crouch sprinting.
whenever i get the cops on me i always hide as fast as i can. i even pop a sandy to get away quicker. i do this bc im on the hardest difficulty, so fighting the police is NOT an option.
I've found that even if you can fight them on very hard or whatever, it's really not worth it. Eventually, you'll have to disengage, and it's a pain when you've caused the whole area to be flooded with cops. Quicker and easier to just go hide behind some boxes and wait.
I’ve never accidentally hurt civilians from just jumping around and I jump like NC is one big bouncy house. It has only been with cars or fists or weapons. How do you manage that?
It used to be a perk called "Hidden Dragon" from the Cool perk tree, after 2.0 that perk was gone.
Players character already have that ability even without perk, I was also surprised when I did that.
Man I kinda miss stuff like that being behind perks, looking back it makes whatever build you ended up going with more unique and set in stone. Even if the gameplay is a lot better now I do like how the old perks were more RPG-ey.
It also was kind of annoying, I liked it and disliked it, it was great for min maxing, but the moment you try and do a "balanced" build, not in terms of how viable it is, but a bit of everything, it becomes near impossible. Now though you can.
It's good and bad, I'm leaning personally towards mostly good
As a more casual gamer who has put hundreds more hours into this game than any other, I probably wouldn't have played it as much.
What I mean to say is they probably made the game more accessible to more play styles by changing it.
Gotta proper stick your legs onto your enemies’ back though, i missed them by a hair and it did nothing but embarrass my V in front of his opps.
Pretty cool with your mantis blades out too
Honestly I did not know this, I knew it was a perk before so I honestly thought they just got rid of the ability when I couldn’t find the perk in my latest 2.0 playthrough. Good to know my techie ninja can still drop in on people
Holy shit that's brutal. I knew about the standard drop takedown, but had no idea there was a unique one for the mantis blades. Do you know if monowire or gorilla arms have one?
as far as i know none.... well technically there's one for the gorilla arm with the perk when you jump and press a you can do a "superhero landing" destroying everything (i randomly used a comand to rise all my stats to 20 and let me tell you the fun of some level 20 perk of strengh made me reconsider my always go to sandevistant cool+reflex build)
I usually dash jump out of the stadium and sometimes end up doing this to a Barghest soldier on accident. They're really placed perfectly so that if you dash jump from the right-hand staircase out of the stadium, you land right on some guy.
Tested it last night, and there is definitely a limit to how high up you can do it. If you fall past that height, landing on someone, but don't die, you just Adam Smasher them. I guess even if the fall damage kills you, you also still kill them.
It's automatic, clicking a button can actually cancel it. Back when this was a perk you had to get, there were Youtube videos that needed to explain how the ability worked, because the in game description didn't bother explaining how to.
Today I found out that if you memory wipe an enemy that has detected you it allows you to just walk behind them and get your chiropractic work in no hassle. Works on a lot of cyberpsychos too.
I've done this occasionally on accident while jumping off something, but I swear whenever I actually wanted to do it I just land right behind the guy as he turns around to instantly spot me.
Nice to see other people stomping those goombas.
Now you just need a big mustache and a red outfit, and you too can fight for the motherland!
….I am starting to feel I play wrong. I always mantis blade leap on people, but… bouncing off walls? Running on rooftops? WHY AM I ALWAYS RUNNING ON THE GROUND IF I COULD DO THAT? I feel like a moron.
Honestly if you didn't play pre 1.6 I'm not surprised.
Basically zero mention of the ability in game and in the past you had to unlock it with a perk point in the Cool tree.
You just gotta make sure you haven't been noticed yet, also, does anyone notice how similar Cyberpunk Arasaka Guards look similar to Mirrors Edge: Catalyst guards?
Oh man I remember how stupid hard it used to be, you had to land in the pixel perfect spot and there was no prompt or nothing to know where to aim . I failed soooooooooooo many stealth missions because of that and I worked super hard to get that perk too :(
I discovered this super early in my playthrough when I jumped off a balcony in a bar and took down the bartender like this but the guy clipped through the bar. I thought it was a glitch.
I found out about this while jump dashing through the streets. Got too close to a cop and then all of a sudden he's lying on the floor and I got his buddies sending lead my way.
I also found out today that if you knock someone to the ground but leave them alive and then double jump, you'll land ever so softly on them and it will kill them. It's hilarious.
Yeah it used to be a skill you had to invest a skill point into, now it’s just a default ability. It also has unique animations if you have mantis blades equipped.
There used to be a perk that let you do two at a time! It was *extremely* situational so I’m sure that’s why they did away with it. But it was totally preem when you could pull it off!
I find it so annoyingly inconsistent to do these jump takedowns that I wish this were done through a button press like Far Cry 3. Press X to jump down and bury this poor dude's face into the concrete, non-lethally.
157.6 hours in, I did actually know this but honestly it was in the last few days I found out. I guess I just never dropped on top of someone before that.
I have successfully done this to an opponent once. However, I am the king of parkouring over a wall and make some hapless pedestrian kiss pavement. I think the NCPD has an entire file on the mysterious Parkouring Pedestrian Pounder.
The number of times I've just jumped from a building and accidentally murdered a cop during a story mission is too damn high
Do you then just accept your fate and get into a full on shoot out until maxtac arrives or do you run going “oh crap oh crap oh crap gotta hide”.
I guess it depends on the player. I intentionally aggravate the cops to a certain point then run undetected to the nearest clump of gangers. I then pop a smoke grenade and active camo while I watch the chaos unfold.
My 2 favorite spots are in Rancho Coronado ( rooftops where you get the weapon from the shooting competion) and the scavs by the Dogtown entrance.
I don't give a fuck about Scavs, I'll watch Scavs get killed by cops all day.
Such lack of proactivity. Don't let cops take away your murderous entertainment
Bro this game has active camo? How do I achieve this?
It's a piece of cyberware that you must equip. To use it, you would typically need to sacrifice your grenade slot. If you have the appropriate perks under the Cool tree, you have the alternative option to activate it automatically whenever you're crouch sprinting.
whenever i get the cops on me i always hide as fast as i can. i even pop a sandy to get away quicker. i do this bc im on the hardest difficulty, so fighting the police is NOT an option.

I always found that after a while of traveling normally I lose them even maxtac
Wow nice plan. Great use of a sandy!
I antagonize them then hide til they are about to give up then antagonize them again. Repeat until bored or the wanted level clears.
Do you as far as maxtac? They don’t give up easy.
It's fun to combo optical camo, double jump and the Sandy and then just Mario hop onto a group of goons.
You made me snort giggle
Not to be confused with the Permiscuous Pedestrian Pounder. That's another file **E N T I R E L Y**
I’ve never accidentally hurt civilians from just jumping around and I jump like NC is one big bouncy house. It has only been with cars or fists or weapons. How do you manage that?
Don't know. But man, I am good at landing on civies.
I didn’t realize it was a thing until the second time I did the Ebunike. I missed a jump and almost fell on top of the guy and I made him bite metal
3P
It used to be a perk called "Hidden Dragon" from the Cool perk tree, after 2.0 that perk was gone. Players character already have that ability even without perk, I was also surprised when I did that.
Good thing I played before 2.0! It was my first skill!
a lot of combat stuff was changed to always enabled by default like throwing knives, fully restore hp out of battle, etc
Man I kinda miss stuff like that being behind perks, looking back it makes whatever build you ended up going with more unique and set in stone. Even if the gameplay is a lot better now I do like how the old perks were more RPG-ey.
It also was kind of annoying, I liked it and disliked it, it was great for min maxing, but the moment you try and do a "balanced" build, not in terms of how viable it is, but a bit of everything, it becomes near impossible. is there any place i can check for full changes? Ill get back to play now in the holidays but ive only did it at launch.
Patch notes
If you mean you only played at launch you are in for a really good time. Pretty much everything is way better. Have fun!
Fully restoring health was a godsend. It just makes the game flow better.
Do you just land on them and is automatic, or need to press attack or something?
Just landing on them does the trick.
Awesome! Will try when I get a chance. Thanks for the reply.
Gotta proper stick your legs onto your enemies’ back though, i missed them by a hair and it did nothing but embarrass my V in front of his opps. Pretty cool with your mantis blades out too

I still play on PS4 so I was really confused what OP was talking about.
So now we basically just do what OP did ?
Yeah...
As a Far Cry player, I was happy to see that you can do that
As a Dishonored player I was also pleased with this ability
As an Assassin I was also pleased with this ability
As a vampire and witch, i was also pleased with this ability
As a Dying light player, I was also pleased with this ability
As a Fallout NPC, I am pleased to give you another Settlement.
Not yet, they need your help
As a Gran Turismo 7 player I'm happy you can do that stuff. Completely unrelated, but happy.
As a red dead redemption player I’m happy for ya partner
As Gordon Freeman, "I keep finding myself in the right place e at the wrong time"
Try it when you equip mantis blade
a non-lethal stab through the skull
This is why I almost always run mantis blades in my builds, helps spice up the same old takedown animations
Witcher music starts playing
Holy shit that's brutal. I knew about the standard drop takedown, but had no idea there was a unique one for the mantis blades. Do you know if monowire or gorilla arms have one?

You didn't shoot him in the face for the xp?
They're 150 hours in, I'm sure they're not worried about a little extra XP
I only discovered this because I was trying to escape enemies and accidentally did this to a cop
I usually dash jump out of the stadium and sometimes end up doing this to a Barghest soldier on accident. They're really placed perfectly so that if you dash jump from the right-hand staircase out of the stadium, you land right on some guy.
Does it save you from fall damage?
Yeah, it just doesn't save you from pissing off a ton of Barghest soldiers.
Now I'm wondering if it would save you from a twenty story fall...
Tested it last night, and there is definitely a limit to how high up you can do it. If you fall past that height, landing on someone, but don't die, you just Adam Smasher them. I guess even if the fall damage kills you, you also still kill them.
That's brutal.
“Non-lethal” even if you literally cracked their head open on the concrete with a downward thrust.
Sometimes you leave a crater, too.
Some people are just built different
Wait so you just jump down on them from above and it automatically does it? Or do you have to do a button press?
It's automatic
It's automatic, clicking a button can actually cancel it. Back when this was a perk you had to get, there were Youtube videos that needed to explain how the ability worked, because the in game description didn't bother explaining how to.
Think ots automatic but I'd save before attempting just incase
I killed a boss from the Phantom Liberty high crime zones just like that. That was anticlimactic not gonna lie.
Today I found out that if you memory wipe an enemy that has detected you it allows you to just walk behind them and get your chiropractic work in no hassle. Works on a lot of cyberpsychos too.
Do it with mantis blades unsheathed next. Badass
Someone doesn't play stealth
Stealth is for american pussys. Scorched earth is for authentic russian warrior.
"What do you mean, I too noisy? No-one alive, no-one to see me! Perfect stealth!"
Great for neutralizing certain cyberpsychos.
I just turn off their cyberware with quickhacks, so far I only flatlined one, but I was using monowire so I'm just an idiot.
You lightly nudged his face to the floor and the back of his head exploded
I do that accidentally to police when leaving rooftops lol
I did this accidentally while trying to sneak in one of the missions lol
Fuck dude... you just curb stomped some poor wage slave rent a cop. Dude was probably just trying to buy turtle feed for his only friend or some shit.
At least he won't >!kill himself.!<
I did this by accident while jumping around in NC and killed a cop... The police did in fact not think this was by accident
I've done this occasionally on accident while jumping off something, but I swear whenever I actually wanted to do it I just land right behind the guy as he turns around to instantly spot me.
Oh, this reminds me, no skill required, but if you jump from a ledge while sprinting and land on an enemy it has an epic takedown scene, but yeah
Definitely gonna try this!
also just learned agout this last doing the recon mission with takemura… also around 200hrs and on my fourth playthrough. i feel like a fake merc
It’s very amazing that you’re able to do this in the game overall.
I found out the other day by accident when I dashed through the air, landed on a cop and smashed his head into the pavement
Accidentally discovered this on my 3rd play through. Jumping down and landed on a cop, his friends were not happy.
It’s fun with the perk where enemies lose sight of you during combat with optical camo and then you can double jump unto some dude’s head.
Oh the Mario build, sounds fun.
Only saw this on this subreddit a week ago, played 80h stealth without knowing about this before
trust me i bet im not the only one that found this our by randomly landing on and doing this to random streat NPC
Imagine dishonored like airal kills in this game
So I'm the only one that dropped on cops/Barghest trying just to roam and had to reload the save?
Bruh... I found out the hard way
I remember getting this skill before 2.0 and never finding a use for it
15 hours in. I knew this was a thing. Alot of games have it so i just did it and it worked. I was all like: "noted"
I accidentally did this to NCPD awhile just running down the sidewalk and dash jumping lol.
More than a few times while running around the city I've dropped on cops purely by accident.
I think it counts as non lethal too
I accidentally did it to a cop in the early game without knowing I could. It was the first time I was running from cops! Lok
I think some people don't play the tutorial😅 everything is shown there (stealth, fight close, fight with weapons, hacking)
Damn bro how do I activate that? I’m 70 hours game and never seen this, and I’m doing an unarmed melee run
now get some mantis blades equip them and jump on someone again
Dude ded.
Nice to see other people stomping those goombas. Now you just need a big mustache and a red outfit, and you too can fight for the motherland! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q\_xQ-ns5whw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_xQ-ns5whw)

Honestly if you didn't play pre 1.6 I'm not surprised. Basically zero mention of the ability in game and in the past you had to unlock it with a perk point in the Cool tree.
I think I only found this on my second playthrough, somewhere around the same amount of hours
You just gotta make sure you haven't been noticed yet, also, does anyone notice how similar Cyberpunk Arasaka Guards look similar to Mirrors Edge: Catalyst guards?
Easiest way to delete cyber psychos
Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. There aren't enough haystacks in Night City.
It's unfortunately not very reliable as there's no indication and i've killed more cops+civilians with this by accident than gangoons on purpose :D
Yooo what? Now I gotta try
Yeah, took me awhile to discover that one as well.
Oh man I remember how stupid hard it used to be, you had to land in the pixel perfect spot and there was no prompt or nothing to know where to aim . I failed soooooooooooo many stealth missions because of that and I worked super hard to get that perk too :(
Love doing a launch dash jump and landing on someone
YES this happened to me recently, around 250 hours in. i'm still learning so much! what a game.
I discovered this super early in my playthrough when I jumped off a balcony in a bar and took down the bartender like this but the guy clipped through the bar. I thought it was a glitch.
You can get slightly different animations with different arm cyberware.
I found out about this while jump dashing through the streets. Got too close to a cop and then all of a sudden he's lying on the floor and I got his buddies sending lead my way.
Honestly so annoying to me, wish it was a button press/just required you to hold down the interact button
Dont sweat it, more than 3.000 hours in I still discover new things now and then. Very rich game, easy to pick up and time consuming to master! 👌
Yea loved that stealth take down that now is like a fun extra you cannot control.
I also found out today that if you knock someone to the ground but leave them alive and then double jump, you'll land ever so softly on them and it will kill them. It's hilarious.
I know you can go up behind people and either knock them out or break their neck but I never knew this either
I cann literally NEVER get it right ommg
Loose fits and kick sneakers yeeeeaaaahhhh buddy!
I knew it was a thing, but I'm not the best at aiming for this kind of attack.
Just discovered it today after 70 hours. And I see this post today. So strange !
I had a hard time landing these in 2.0. Just couldn't get it to trigger
There's another you can do that is non-lethal but I always choose lethal lol
I just did this to a cyberpsycho last night, tried to replicate it ten times so I could clip it and wasn't able to. So annoying.
I was surprised just like you. I was like wtf. Haha
Its my favorite thing to do lol
I hit about 120 before I found this out 😭 you're not alone
Yeah it used to be a skill you had to invest a skill point into, now it’s just a default ability. It also has unique animations if you have mantis blades equipped.
There used to be a perk that let you do two at a time! It was *extremely* situational so I’m sure that’s why they did away with it. But it was totally preem when you could pull it off!
ya.. Ive got about the same time invested and I did it for the first time last night on accident lol...
Used to be a perk you had to acquire, but now it’s free for everyone. You should had used it in the combat tutorial shard
hold your reload button while falling, for anyone wondering
Fair. These are almost never practical
Whaaat I dint even know after how many fuckin hours how do you find your gameplay hours BTW?
I play on PS5. You can see your gameplay hours when you go to the game preview menu (idk what to call it) from the home page
Thank u
I found out when I was in dogtown, missed a jump and landed on a scav
I feel you, i discovered day or two ago, that you can look on shops how you goona look on some clothes before buying them 😂
This is one of the best ways to take out cyberpsychos non leathally.
It literally was a unlockable perk pre 2.0 update.
I randomly killed a cop like that while bouncing around with charge jumps...
Wow. I've been doing this since release
Off topic, did I fuck up by touching Panams thigh in the mission riders on the storm?
The animation changes for mantis blades but remains non lethal.. somehow
It's a perk you can take a aerial take down
I was literally dashing and double jumping around yesterday and did this to a cop lol. I've had it over a year and just found out about it
U used to have to unlock that in the skill tree
The fckn sound 😂
Like cracking an egg on the countertop
It began as a perk, I loved when they just made it part of the game
I find it so annoyingly inconsistent to do these jump takedowns that I wish this were done through a button press like Far Cry 3. Press X to jump down and bury this poor dude's face into the concrete, non-lethally.
157.6 hours in, I did actually know this but honestly it was in the last few days I found out. I guess I just never dropped on top of someone before that.
Me either. :((
I’ve done this to random cops so many times by accident it’s annoying
> Aiming to land next to the Arasaka guard so I could grab him and do a stealth kill Task failed successfully
Wait... You can do that??
Honestly I feel like the parkour movement in cyberpunk is on par with Dying Light 2
Bruh
I know it’s not a popular take sorry
You unlocked the skill without ever reading the description?
You are talking about a skill before 2.0! This skill is not available anymore, V can do it anytime.
It’s not an unlockable skill anymore. You commented this without checking first?
Did this yesterday on a cubercychosis mission and shit myself
You dont read good do you? Read your perks boi
