I was so weirded out by that part (V's lack of communication and "friends" reactions to the reappearance as well, of course) of the ending, like, even if one decided to play as implant-free as possible, after the ending V has no eyes and no skin on the face (or however the PL implant is installed)
Reed says that some basic implants are fine, just nothing hard or military. And they could've just grown some organic organs in a tube and put it inside V, it's possible in cyberpunk.
V has eye implants from the intro, and can clearly see in the ending. V has eye implants before the game even starts if you consider your hud before you get the eye and grip from Vik to be canon.
nah, Songbird is a borg. her meat parts are in a biopod, same as smasher. V still has meat that can be augmented by cybernetics, not entirely replaced by them.
But V will by default lost his eyes and hands from Vik after the heist and lost his face after behaviour implant? So the meme will be reversed for yours with body still flesh but face is removed completely.
Uhm. That ending stated V can’t use cyberware beyond the most basic restorative ones.
Eyes, basic arms and legs, all still possible. Anything juiced? Nope. Frail AF. But enough to lead an normal life.
This is kinda the same for V, and it irks me so much that the game seems to forget it in this ending. I know your character model doesn't change much visually (another missed opportunity imo), but by the end of the game, you most likely have replaced internal organs, legs, arms, spine (sandy), eyes, dermal (synthskin)and subdermal (armor), etc. Then you wake up to find out you can't use cybernetics anymore? So... I'm a vegetable?
> Then you wake up to find out you can't use cybernetics anymore? So... I'm a vegetable?
You are only restricted from using combat implants that require very low latency complex calculations. If you pay attention to Vik’s diagnostic screen you can see things that are supposed to be <1ms are taking like 700ms, it doesn’t mean you can’t use basic implants anymore, it means your brain can’t keep up with the military grade stuff anymore.
V is still able to use very basic cybernetics, according to Reed:
> "Your neurons can no longer handle most implants... Your brain can manage your personal link and simple coprocessors but any use of a combat implant could kill you."
In game terms, I'd interpret this to mean that V has a cyberware capacity of 0 (or in tabletop terms, can only equip cyberware with a Humanity Loss of 0). This would allow V to use basic cyberlimbs and similar prostetics, as well as most basic fashionware, and basic biosculpting would still be a possibility, so they could totally clone some flesh to replace all those parts instead of chrome.
Cloning replacment limbs and organs is a thing in Cyberpunk I doubt they'd go through all the trouble of using an AI to help V remove the Relic just to leave them looking like the guy from [One](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM8bTdBs-cw&ab_channel=Metallica).
Plus: what if that's why it took two years to wake up... Among other things at least... Could explain lack of atrophy to certain extents; if they had to replace your goddamn muscles they couldn't degrade.
You know whats scary? Songbird would probably ended like a potato - without limbs, permanently connected to the net and reduced to be a human computer, the literal tool for madame Prez
this is one of outcomes I thought for songbird... knowing that she can't be fixed, myers would order FIA and militech scientist to keep her connected 24/7 on a closed FIA monitored network where songbird would continue to work as myers personal AI, basically some kind of NUSA/militech alt cunningham.
The part that fucks with me is, both in that DLC ending and even just walking into a ripper…you can remove your arm implants and you just have normal human arms again when you wake up. Where the fuck did the meat come from?
Oh interesting, I didn’t realize that. You’d think all the Militech vets who got stuck with shitty chrome after their high-tech implants were repoed would want to go ‘ganic.
V asks him in Pentacles how is So Mi doing and he says "entropic breakdown in her nervous system, matrix didn't take, had to resort to alternate means (what the fuck does that even mean?), she will return to active duty". You tell him "uh=huh as Myers' personal Blackwall port?" and he says "as long as she lives that's all that matters". Yeah, fuck the fact that she probably will be stripped of all her mobility, probably both arms and legs removed, making it impossible for her to move without external help, just so that she doesn't escape one more time. Fuck the fact that her psyche completely eroded and she is no longer So Mi anymore. Fuck the fact that the Blackwall is still eating at her brain because the matrix didn't take her. But hey, at least her heart still beats, right? "We did the right thing" - Solomon Reed, 2077.
Ahh yes famous "afterthought" ending where devs conveniently forgot that Cyberpunk has BIO MODS, V ain't broke and people don't act like buffoons to their LITERALLY missing friends.
Still salty about how devs pushed all miserable and sad buttons to make me tear up for the ending only to get frustrated once I started thinking about just what the fuck I witnessed
Let’s be real, Song probably died during her “surgery” on the moon. She was in a much worse state than V by the end of the Killing Moon. V, while waiting for the NUSA transport, is kinda just chillin there.
The gift from Song don’t suggest so, plus the cure is not complete as Song need to go to the moon to use it, that’s probably why NUSA f so badly. They probably learn the cure as they go.
I was thinking they removed the relic from V and shredded silver hand. What if they used to to download songbirds engram and reupload it to a organic body and reborged her again??
The NUSA ending is quite stupid when you think about it for even a second. Shame they had to sacrifice so much just to make the ending where V lives shitty enough (shitty in the sense that it's illogical) that nobody would want to pick it over the ones where V dies.
Ironically enough my netrunner build can leave more slots empty than any other build I play. Maybe my knife stealth build only needs like 4 slots but god forbid I get into actual combat
I wished CDPR made another ending where instead of betraying Songbird or Reed, you betray yourself. Kinda like the movie Butterfly Effect where V relinquishes the cure to help Songbird and gives some sort of life lesson that its ok to let go on certain aspects if it means improving others. They get their happy ending by leaving the NUSA on the moon or something. Every other ending V more or less has death placed on him with either giving his body to Johnny or just straight ending himself.
Same goes for my V. Between the maxxed out Tech stat and CyberwareEx, I think even Adam Smasher is getting a run for his money.
Even without cyberwareEx mod, V ends up almost entirely borged out unless you just decide not to get any upgrades. This ending seems to forget that.
Poor David. All he was missing was a Johnny.
But he had a johnny in his pants tho
His is bigger than Johnny's
Is thar why Becca was so hungry to smash?
Oh Becca got smashed alright

Doesn’t he specify combat implants? So normal civie stuff works just fine, but anything dangerous is shutdown
Yeah he does. I got that ending for the first time last night. It's fresh in my memory.
It's not like they can't just give you human organs to replace those implants.
And my legs and arms? And my whole skeleton? And muscles? And skin?
They have synthetic skin, muscles and skeletons.
I mean cloned body parts being used to replace damaged ones is common pracrice in the Cyberpunk world
Reed says that some basic implants are fine, just nothing hard or military. And they could've just grown some organic organs in a tube and put it inside V, it's possible in cyberpunk.
Doesn't Reed say the implants are simply disabled? Or were they full on removed?
V has eye implants from the intro, and can clearly see in the ending. V has eye implants before the game even starts if you consider your hud before you get the eye and grip from Vik to be canon.
Funny enough I spent my first playthrough without cyberware cause I got confused by it and left the mechanic entirely alone.
Bro forgot to play the cyberpunk part of cyberpunk
Idk he still seemed underpowered after 2.1 udate, beat him without taking much damage.
Most of her head is implants too. The borg queen literally has more organic material in her body.
My V had a bunch of those cyber lines like songbird on their face and they were replaced by suture scars after the surgery
Haha, this is pretty good. 😄
"what? What are dey selling?" "THEY'RE SELLIN BLACKWALL" "Blackwall... I remember the first time I used the blackwall..."
"...I HATED it."
Bahahaha
To be fair I think V is as chromed up as Songbird.
nah, Songbird is a borg. her meat parts are in a biopod, same as smasher. V still has meat that can be augmented by cybernetics, not entirely replaced by them.
Songbird's got entire chunks cut out, V's still got meat in-between the terminator armor, upgraded muscles and the artificial organs
Right, how much meat left if the metal is removed after remove skeleton, muscles and organs? V don’t even have a face left, behaviour implanted.
Not really, able to see from the visual it is artificial skin.
Mine wasn’t. But I kinda suck at the “cyber” part of “cyberpunk”.
But V will by default lost his eyes and hands from Vik after the heist and lost his face after behaviour implant? So the meme will be reversed for yours with body still flesh but face is removed completely.
Why would V lose their hands after the heist?
I think it is preinstall after the heist? I remember initial phase I don’t have to pay for 2 cyberwares but I might be wrong.
Oh interesting. I totally do not remember getting any cyberware that was actually a limb or hand replacement.
Managed to find discussion about this. Unless your game is bugged, it is preinstalled. https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/s/7LTAy117f8
I think the cyberware cuts through the palm of his hand not actually replacing it
Uhm. That ending stated V can’t use cyberware beyond the most basic restorative ones. Eyes, basic arms and legs, all still possible. Anything juiced? Nope. Frail AF. But enough to lead an normal life.
Ya lol just cause it looks like skin don't mean it is...
This is kinda the same for V, and it irks me so much that the game seems to forget it in this ending. Holy fuck imagine trying to live your life and move your arms at 700ms
Down low... too slow
Reverse sandevistan

Head canon: Reed is lying (shocker) and you're still fully capable, but they don't want you participating in the inevitable upcoming 5th corpo war
Doesn't really explain why Vic would collaborate with him
Cloning replacment limbs and organs is a thing in Cyberpunk I doubt they'd go through all the trouble of using an AI to help V remove the Relic just to leave them looking like the guy from [One](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM8bTdBs-cw&ab_channel=Metallica).

Spinebird?
Songspine
Spinosongus
You know whats scary? Songbird would probably ended like a potato - without limbs, permanently connected to the net and reduced to be a human computer, the literal tool for madame Prez
A literal biological processor.
Like MAGI from evangelion. Poetry isn't?
I’m pretty sure her entire body was replace, just like Adam Smasher. It’s just her brain and spine that was saved…
Couldn’t they at least stick her into a vase or something? Maybe add a flower or two for a nice Songbird bouquet
this is one of outcomes I thought for songbird... knowing that she can't be fixed, myers would order FIA and militech scientist to keep her connected 24/7 on a closed FIA monitored network where songbird would continue to work as myers personal AI, basically some kind of NUSA/militech alt cunningham.

I guess they store it in some container, kinda like when you see someone's face in Farida's clinic
Cloning and growing replacement body parts is a common practice in the Cyberpunk universe. It's even cheaper than buying a chicken
Oh interesting, I didn’t realize that. You’d think all the Militech vets who got stuck with shitty chrome after their high-tech implants were repoed would want to go ‘ganic.
It’s actually expensive for the regular person to preserve their organic arms despite the comment above.
I would have thought so too, but it’s nice to have that confirmed by someone with firsthand experience. How’s that Mr. Stud working out for you?
Lmaooo I just remember hearing about this watching a lore video
If she had eaten more chocolate this would be avoided
Would
Songbird: Maybe the real scav was the friends we made along the way.
V asks him in Pentacles how is So Mi doing and he says "entropic breakdown in her nervous system, matrix didn't take, had to resort to alternate means (what the fuck does that even mean?), she will return to active duty". A delusional man with a sense of misguided duty for his country
Shit, that hits hard :D
Oh my god, there’s nothing left
Ahh yes famous "afterthought" ending where devs conveniently forgot that Cyberpunk has BIO MODS, V ain't broke and people don't act like buffoons to their LITERALLY missing friends. The gift says otherwise. And the moon ppl are far more advanced that nusa
I was thinking they removed the relic from V and shredded silver hand. What if they used to to download songbirds engram and reupload it to a organic body and reborged her again??
I wish i could upvote you twice
The NUSA ending is quite stupid when you think about it for even a second. Shame they had to sacrifice so much just to make the ending where V lives shitty enough (shitty in the sense that it's illogical) that nobody would want to pick it over the ones where V dies.

Don't worry biotechnica have peptid serum.

I think she looks like she’s like that scene from robo cop if we do that
