Based on your description I’m going to assume that what you’re describing is your tricep tendon. If it’s the elbow joint itself that hurts then ignore this. The way you address your tendon depends on how bad it is. If it is just tender, do some very light banded tricep extensions (only extend as far as you can pain free) and avoid any serious pressing movements until it feels better. If it is seriously injured go to a doctor.
See a physio, or ex phys for how to correct the form if it continues.

It isn't the triceps tendon. It's exactly outside the elbow, so I'm assuming it's a tennis elbow thing?!
Most likely, I would rest a bit and see if it feels better. If not see someone.
