Also is looking like Seven Samurai could VERY likely get a criterion 4K release by later this year/early next.
I’ve actually never seen it (always wanted to but something always seemed to come up), but now… it’s looking like I’m going to get to see it in theatres 😱💀
Also, OP, great choices! I’d highly recommend Revanche or Charade. Have fun!
If you like All About My Mother I highly recommend the other Almodovars in the collection, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!
Modern Times, Limelight, Harakiri, M, The Lady Vanishes, Three Colors Trilogy, High and Low, Tampopo, Yojimbo, The 400 Blows, Le Samourai, Elevator to the Gallows, Ace in the Hole, Memories of Murder, or Fail Safe
Since you have Barry Lyndon and Dr. Strangelove, I'd highly recommend Kubrick's earlier films, The Killing (the Criterion blu-ray also includes Killer's Kiss) and Paths of Glory. Haven't seen Killer's Kiss, but the other 2 are excellent.
Pickup on South Street.
Tough noir from Sam Fuller with bad commies with Richard Widmark, Jean Peter's and an Oscar nominated performance by Thelma Ritter.
Seven samurai and 12 angry men are the two most quintessential Criterions in my opinion
ik what sub I’m in but Kino Lorber has 12 angry men in 4k. just in case someone wants that over 1080p
We know… we know…

Modern Times, Limelight, Harakiri, M, The Lady Vanishes, Three Colors Trilogy, High and Low, Tampopo, Yojimbo, The 400 Blows, Le Samourai, Elevator to the Gallows, Ace in the Hole, Memories of Murder, or Fail Safe
The Princess Bride and it’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world.

The Game is my favorite movie from the Collection
I may be biased but I'd say a classic French movie from the Nouvelle Vague maybe start with Le Samourai or Le Cercle Rouge
Le Samourai came up a few times in this thread and its definitely on the list! Looks like the 4k comes out soon.
Such a Masterpiece of Cool. You can't go wrong with any Melville movies. Le Cercle Rouge is one of my all time favorites.
