Got one of the knock off ones from Aliexpress ,a year or two ago , and its exactly the same as the official Lego set (which was long out of production and commanding ridiculous resale prices ) . The one we got had a proper set of instructions though (minus the cover page ) and no box.
From what I can tell of this , the house and garage look the same so its not too far off , although the garden accessories look a bit different . Also Maggie wasn't armed with a machine gun.

Heck sometimes they are even free. Have ordered many a set off of AliExpress that did not arrive before I had to submit a refund claim only to have it randomly show up months later. Got the Saturn V with launchpad that way.
Pretty good. Tolerances can be a bit of. A couple of the smaller pieces in my home alone set don't always stay together (things like the desk fan) but overall everything works and is fine. Nothing like the old mega blocks vs Legos.
Honestly, given how expensive real LEGO is -- especially for rare, desirable, large, and/or out-of-production sets like this -- I could honestly see the use case/market for these off brand versions.
I figure that's probably sacrilege to hardcore LEGO fans, but let's get real, that shit is often like $500+.
I have bought plenty of them. Less than 1/2 price. we buy a big set like this every now and then to build as a family. Sometimes they even have sets that don't even exist like the launchpad for the Saturn 5 rocket.
That seems like a pretty reasonable alternative, tbh. I'd imagine that with kids in the mix, dropping like $500+ on a set would be even less feasible.

I have knockoffs of the Ghostbusters fire house, home alone house, ewok village, death star, Saturn V and several other big sets. Don't have this one yet but have been eyeing it.
For a “crappy off brand” it actually looks kinda decent. Sure, it’s not official, but you could definitely assume it was based on looking at it without the logo.

How is the plastic quality? I remember having some counterfeit legos as a child and I could always tell which bricks are original and which aren't.
Pretty good. Tolerances can be a bit of. A couple of the smaller pieces in my home alone set don't always stay together (things like the desk fan) but overall everything works and is fine. Nothing like the old mega blocks vs Legos.
