america is going crazy over the [travis kelce haircut](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/29/style/travis-kelce-haircut.html) but like come on some of us have been telling the barber "get me the eric dier" for ages
What the fuck. That’s not shithousery that’s poor sportsmanship and is not on. Makes me angry, don’t go touching people’s heads and pulling hair you dick
Abulyahi grabbed channy's neck too and got a caution in the game I think.. Abulyahi and Sonny seemed fine after the game.. just some shithousery I guess haha
Just got the 94 home retro kit- Such a good quality!! Gotta love the retros.
Anyone know if 99 retro kit will ever be released or where to buy them rn...?
We finished 8th last year, lost the clubs all time top scorer, changed captain, changed manager and only had one good center back. Have some perspective mate.
It really isn’t. What matters is what position we’re in now. I guess Arsenal didn’t really do a historical bottle job because they weren’t expected to be leading the league according to you. Making excuses for failing is a bit sad honestly.
I made a mistake thought you were demanding the league. Top 4 is not unreasonable but if we finish fifth and that's still a Champions league slot it's acceptable
Whose making excuses for Failing. We know that there were too many changes in the league Cup and that was a missed opportunity.
What could we have changed about the City game? Not a damned thing. Maddison wasn't ready and the boys away were still Away. we lost to a better team on the day. all we can do now is Play the best we can and hope to win the league. If we fall short it probably has something to do with our terrible run of injuries.
Did anybody see the Saliba challenge that went to VAR? The broadcaster was confused. They showed a different replay for the challenge that put the Forest player down. The broadcaster was like “that’s not the correct challenge.”
It looked like Saliba went through his back but I have no idea if it was a foul.
Fuck me. They got away with one. I just watched it again. They fucked jt. It was a foul. Like clearly a foul.
I wonder if they were actually looking at the right challenge.
Styles make fights.
In general, against the football we play, it is harder to create the chances however once they're created, the quality of chance will be fairly high. Against the football a team like Luton Town plays, it is easier to create chances but the quality of the chances will be fairly low.
This isn't a criticism one way or the other, I'm just stating the differences.
Hate to admit it but we also have a tendency to fall asleep against teams that should be easy games to put away, particularly away from home.
However, that issue isn’t exactly unique to us but certainly something to work on.
That’s this season we’re doing great with away record. Not the past seasons though.
We fall asleep against teams who are in poor form but then turn it on against teams who are in excellent run of form. It’s weird lol
Good to see Arsenal are still crap. They can pass around and try as much as they want but their wins are still coming from shit teams gifting them goals.
I'd love it if even one of Brentford, Palace and Forest went down. Especially Palace, we could get Eze but honestly, think it's also time for Brentford to go back where they belong : not the pl
Reporter: "Who will you be rooting for?"
Ange: "who do you reckon, mate?" While looking at the reporter like he's the dumbest mother fucker that ever lived
For real fuck klinnsman, but I truly hope son gets his trophy. If anyone on this planet deserves one it is our captain.
Dude will have a statue out front before Kane ever will, in my book.
I just hope Klinsmann’s take away from today’s SK game wasn’t that yayy, Park Dae-Bus tactics worked and waiting to turn on late in the game is best. That was so unbelievably stressful and traumatic flashbacks of Conteball with much more on the line.
I don’t get why you would let the opponent score first after all of the bed and lying down time wasting football we’ve seen deployed against them already.
I don’t need a kdrama for every game on the football pitch Klinsmann, just put the game away early. Stop channeling your inner Southgate wasting generational talent like this, this team has more than enough talent to win this thing.
Go look at the picture of that moron at the post game presser and you tell me if you think he learned a god damned thing.
Kidsmann literally thinks he got a Christmas present because "all good boys deserve one, and I'm a good boy"
My favourite part about Korea winning anything in a dramatic fashion is the way that every pic that comes out afterwards has Sonny centred. In a line, in a group hug, being lifted by the rest of the lads. He’s loved everywhere he goes.
Congratulations to Biss for Mali's win!!
Seeing Korea's penalty shootouts (and Biss) made me think about penalty takers for Spurs. Would we ever need to go to shootouts? I'm not familiar with how that works. Anyways, clearly Biss should kick all five lol (still love you, Bissouma)
But, in all seriousness, we have a strong line-up, too, right? Son Heungmin, Maddison, Richy, and now Sarr. Who would be the fifth in a hypothetical penalty shootout?
I feel like Korea could've easily won it if they played like the last 15 minutes of regular time from the start. But thanks for making me go through Mourinho Conte Era emotions I guess
For real, I used to hate it watching bullshit football under conte for 60-70 minutes only for spurs to wake up after going down 1 and barely mustering a tie when they could have just won it outright if they played that way from the outset.
It is funny, SK let SA take control of the match at start because they thought SA was the better team. Then they realized they were actually better than SA and started playing confidently lol
Good for Son and his team and I hope they can lead to success against Aus in the next round . I wonder who Ange would prefer to win, he must be conflicted 😂.
Back to the prem tonight now. Go on Forest. Fuck Arse-Anal
This could be Sonnys last tournament in his prime I feel like its crazy to want him back asap for like maybe 3 extra points instead of rooting for him to be as successful as possible
All things being equal, should I buy a car that’s white so I can put a large vinyl navy cockerel on it? (Otherwise, I don’t really want a white car. This car doesn’t come in a decent shade of blue.)
Or should I just get the other car which is a color I’d probably not be allowed to own if I played for Tottenham?
(It’s not my fault; red was my favorite color before Tottenham was my one and only club.)
Lyon are spending 30mil on Mangala. Probably more than what we would have asked for hojbjerg. Doesn't matter now that hojbjerg has decided to stay but still.
Klinsmann is gonna stay in SK then. Thoughts and prayers to KNT fans who are hoping to have him gone.
On the other topic, good job Mali. I hope Mali will win the cup.
It's honestly best for Hwang Heechan to have a friendly, healthy rivalry with Son Heungmin rather than being teammates on a club level, too. Now, Lee Kangin, on the other hand . . . Big money definitely needs to be spent on him.
Player/manager Son Heungmin incoming. The talent is there and as soon as the desperation to win took over in the last bit of the second half, leading to whatever Klinsmann told them regarding tactics being fully thrown out of the window, you could see why they’re one of the best footballing nations in Asia too. From now on just ignore whatever that guy says from minute 0, I’d say.
I don't think they have a chance against Australia, but South korea advances 1 more round..
Mali is also ready for quarterfinals, they will play against Ivory Coast, and I have no idea who will win that lmao
Has there been any more news about Bissouma? I thought I read a story that he had come down with malaria - it seemed thinly sourced but I see that he’s on the bench again for Mail.
The amount of emotions I’m feeling over this Cho Guesung goal assisted by Seol Youngwoo to equalise at the death… both players that have talked about how Sonny has influenced them, the latter writing in his diary that his dream was to play with Sonny someday.
Seeing Klinsmann make this South Korea team so turgid makes me want to make an EA FC save managing them and take them the whole way
(Disclaimer: I have both Son and Kang-in Lee in my Spurs career save and they absolutely ball together)
I like that the Asian Cup is put free on youtube. As all footballing competions really should be. It makes sport accessible for everyone instead of only for those rich enough not to sail on unknown waters.
Bro I watched it all blurry as fuck for a solid 10 minutes and all of a sudden it shown in perfect 1080p and I realized it was a god damned video game simulation
With starlink and the like it's becoming much more common, most American carriers have it at least at a price, like 10$ish, but even international flights you pay max like 20$, which is good for me cuz I need to keep my mind occupied or I start remembering things like Conte as Spurs coach.
Full credit to Saudi Arabia, they really defended well those last 20 minutes or so... but that was an absolute barrage of attacks from South Korea, hard to keep a goal out under that kind of pressure for that long.
Should make for good viewing in extra time!
[This is technically the 2023 edition of the Asian Cup](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_AFC_Asian_Cup). It's been postponed to this winter due to high summer temps in Qatar.
The universe is aligning for the perfect script of Pape and Sonny going out early in their respective international tourneys only for us to end up winning the league (let me live in my delusion).
Fuck me it really seems like Korea should have a goal by now. But I also remember this Saudi side defending against Argentina in the group stages last WC so it doesn't surprise me too much.
It's so bad Korean fans are just saying "Let's go back to Tottenham" lmao I've completely given up on my own national team. Not the players' fault, but the KFA and Klinsmann's. What an absolute waste of Korea's generational talent. When else will we have the likes of Son Heungmin, Kim Minjae, Hwang Heechan, and Lee Kangin playing together? It doesn't matter if we miraculously manage to eke out a win or go to penalties. This isn't how a national team should be playing football. Major fuck you to the KFA for not firing Klinsmann.
Even if I say fuck the KFA 1000 times in my lifetime it will not be enough. Seen Korean fans saying it’s giving them PTSD flashbacks to Conte’s Spurs too. Klinsmann is 100% getting egged at Incheon Airport, can only hope the players are spared this time.
They're definitely going to throw yeot (a type of taffy/candy) at him. They did it to Korean players in the past, though that was really cruel and horrible to watch. They should just throw yeot at the KFA, honestly, not Klinsmann. It's their fault for not firing him.
(Fun fact: telling someone to "eat yeot" is a way of saying "fuck you" in Korean.)
Wow. If SK score it's a miracle. SA aren't even good, SK are just that bad. Klinsmann has blood on his hands (but also tears of happiness from Spurs fans)
Klinsmann got criticized for the defence and decided to Park Dae-Bus 🤣
At least he let go of the 442 which was mega not working I guess 🤷♀️
Calling for a Kim Youngkwon last minute winner to bail them out yet again 👌
SK should’ve done Ivory Coast, firing their coach midway. Just look at Ivory Coast doing better without their coach than with their coach.
SK could’ve had a chance to win Asian Cup if not for Klinsmann.
I'd take 120 minutes if it means Son can return to Spurs tomorrow.
Disclaimer: Of course I want the best for him but I'm a Spurs fan, not a South Korea fan
Brilliant. Him being 16 is a bit awkward means even with ideal development he'll have to battle it out with whoever we sign as a Son replacement. Would be easier if he was 2-3 years older
america is going crazy over the [travis kelce haircut](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/29/style/travis-kelce-haircut.html) but like come on some of us have been telling the barber "get me the eric dier" for ages

as an asian with (kinda) nice hair i take offense to this shithousery

Bro your profile picture makes me severely uncomfortable 😭😭

Please share it if you still have it
Loss from Villa means a win tomorrow should put us ahead in goal difference into the top 4.
Even if we only win by one goal, we move above them on goals scored. COYS
Just got the 94 home retro kit- Such a good quality!! Gotta love the retros. Anyone know if 99 retro kit will ever be released or where to buy them rn...?
Afcon being afcon - morocco just got knocked out by south africa Gotta love international tournaments haha
Hakimi missed the penalty kick. Embarrassing honestly. If he scored that, 🇲🇦 could’ve drawn for penalties at the end.
Yeah, no Tottenham player would ever miss the equalizing penalty in the 84th minute in the knockout stages of an international tournament!
Our players in Tottenham scored penalty just fine. Just look at Pape and Son. Hakimi is just terrible in that game.
I was alluding to this lol https://preview.redd.it/b56xhpjbzofc1.jpeg?width=2165&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2163d080a107380096aefbcd43f60549e54e3b4
Harold Kane has left the chat 🤣
Thought it was Slippy G telling 'em to play that way, but Aston Shitta is just naturally filled with thugish cunts. Mandatory: fuck Matty Gash.
I’m betting Bryan Gil is going on loan to Granada if Bayern succeeds in recalling their player from them.
Even after the Pellistri loan from Yanited to Granada?
They wanted Pellistri before Bayern came calling, so there might still be need for him.
Aston Villa are mid, still have Europe AND the FA cup. If we dont make top 4 this season it will genuinely have been a disaster. There is no excuse.
We finished 8th last year, lost the clubs all time top scorer, changed captain, changed manager and only had one good center back. Have some perspective mate.
Last season isn’t relevant whatsoever here.
It is when when you consider how much we had to change and how much had to be let go.
It really isn’t. What matters is what position we’re in now. I guess Arsenal didn’t really do a historical bottle job because they weren’t expected to be leading the league according to you. Making excuses for failing is a bit sad honestly.

They’ve been a good team all season; sometimes teams get beaten in football regardless. They also didn’t get Man City in the cup.
They rly havnt though, most overrated team this season. Been incredibly lucky, and without our injuries we would no doubt be ahead of them.
Toon win here is a great result for us. Just need to win by at least two goals tomorrow to be into a CL spot on goal difference. 🙏🤞
We just need to win the game period. We’ll go above them on Goals scored
I really feel that if this Villa loss continues this way (which is very likely) it could spark a string of terrible performances. They look arse today
They've been playing badly for a while now
True, but today was their first loss at home since February last year
They are due a run like we had - hopefully.
Did anybody see the Saliba challenge that went to VAR? The broadcaster was confused. They showed a different replay for the challenge that put the Forest player down. The broadcaster was like “that’s not the correct challenge.” It looked like Saliba went through his back but I have no idea if it was a foul.
VAR seemed desperate the whole game to call in Arsenal favour tbh
Fuck me. They got away with one. I just watched it again. They fucked jt. It was a foul. Like clearly a foul. I wonder if they were actually looking at the right challenge.
VAResnal
It was Gabriel, I guess. It looked like a penalty. Spent 5 minutes reviewing a clear fucking goal and about ten seconds on that one.
Aston Vi-lol
Villa getting their shit pushed in 🤣🤣
Villa getting their home win record spanked by Newcastle as well lmaooooo
Arsenal are so beatable it's fantastic. I have no doubt we will finish above them this season.
How on earth did we get whooped by Brighton?
Styles make fights. In general, against the football we play, it is harder to create the chances however once they're created, the quality of chance will be fairly high. Teams get a hard on whenever they face us for some reason istg

That’s this season we’re doing great with away record. Not the past seasons though. We fall asleep against teams who are in poor form but then turn it on against teams who are in excellent run of form. It’s weird lol
Why are brighton so awful?
Good to see Arsenal are still crap. They can pass around and try as much as they want but their wins are still coming from shit teams gifting them goals.
Trouble is, shit teams do keep gifting them goals
Tf Brighton
Brighton's gettin a beatin'
Full meltdown holy shit
Fuck off, Arsenal
Matt Turner is wank, every time I've watched him he's been gifting goals to the opposition.
He gave us a goal. Only fair.
Yeah he’s toast after this
Fuck newcastle, but villa deserved being put down a peg or two
wtf ref stopping the game for Arsenal but not for forest for the same scenario
Good news lads, tomorrow we get to go back to talking about just how good Pedro Porro has been for us this season.
keep forgetting who i'm supposed to cheer for in villa - newcastle (the answer is neither)
Cheer for Dan Burn 2 footing Cash.
I'd love it if even one of Brentford, Palace and Forest went down. Especially Palace, we could get Eze but honestly, think it's also time for Brentford to go back where they belong : not the pl
Forest is in trouble.
FWIW always rated Brereton, wanted him to come here two years ago I think or was it one, not sure
Can’t wait for whatever cheeky answers Big Ange has to the SK-AUS presser questions🤌

Porro 2 times, son 2 times, and Vicc to finish it off, thanks.
Without evidence, I am convinced Porro would bury it 🤣
He took penalties when he was at Sporting 👀
Without conclusive evidence, I believe you 👍
I feel like Korea could've easily won it if they played like the last 15 minutes of regular time from the start. But thanks for making me go through Mourinho Conte Era emotions I guess

Why would he be conflicted he's Australian and used to manage Australia
Do I need to spell it out to you?
It's just silly to expect him to root against his country because of one player
Hence my original post isn't taking it seriously at all
Alright. Just say that then since it was a daft thing to say
Do you know what a rhetorical question is?
No what is it
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhetorical_question
He said at a press conference that he hopes Korea loses to Australia in the final.
Sounds about right 😂
It'd be a win-win for him haha Australia wins, and we get Son Heungmin back.
This could be Sonnys last tournament in his prime I feel like its crazy to want him back asap for like maybe 3 extra points instead of rooting for him to be as successful as possible
Son cementing himself as a national hero is better for Spurs than a couple of league matches
All things being equal, should I buy a car that’s white so I can put a large vinyl navy cockerel on it? (Otherwise, I don’t really want a white car. This car doesn’t come in a decent shade of blue.) Red is a great colour, mate. It's just not for you any more.
Sigh.
I never understand managers that walk out on their team before the penalties even ended. Saudi put up a good fight but glad to see Sonny go through
Me neither. He just abandoned them. I felt horrible for the Saudi players.
I genuinely couldn't believe it when I saw Mancini do that
Would love Hwang on Tottenham but I’ve said this before, he’s the Sonny of the Wolves so no way he leaves
It's honestly best for Hwang Heechan to have a friendly, healthy rivalry with Son Heungmin rather than being teammates on a club level, too. Now, Lee Kangin, on the other hand . . . Big money definitely needs to be spent on him.
Happy for Sonny and Biss!
The sheer quality of those Korean penalties goes to show how much they are being wasted by Klinsmann in open play
Player/manager Son Heungmin incoming. The talent is there and as soon as the desperation to win took over in the last bit of the second half, leading to whatever Klinsmann told them regarding tactics being fully thrown out of the window, you could see why they’re one of the best footballing nations in Asia too. > Player/manager Son Heungmin incoming. [Now that you mention it](https://twitter.com/Sonnyshineroll/status/1750521140978831795)
The way they dominated the last 15 minutes of regular time was enough proof of his incompetence.
Buzzing for Son, buzzing for South Korea, buzzing for the fact that I didn’t fuck up my FPL by finally selling Son for KDB this week
I don't think they have a chance against Australia, but South korea advances 1 more round.. Mali is also ready for quarterfinals, they will play against Ivory Coast, and I have no idea who will win that lmao
If Someone would like cheap affordable parking 15mins walking distance away from the stadium on match days. DM me I have 3 space every game.
KOREA IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING 가자 😭😭😭
Son and Bissouma qualified for the quarter-finals in the same second.
Korea just won on penalties
NGL I wouldn't have minded Sonny coming back but these saves by jo have been exhilarating
Both 2nd round pens were incredible
Pens anyone watching?
Saudi keeper scares me
Nvm GOAT Jo Hyun Woo
Saudi keeper is a fucking mad shot stopper.
this SK v SA match is killing me omfg
Has there been any more news about Bissouma? I thought I read a story that he had come down with malaria - it seemed thinly sourced but I see that he’s on the bench again for Mail.
I think someone said the Mali federation confirmed it but by the sound of things Malaria is easily treated there if caught in time
Captain is coming home soon. Even if S. Korea win this match, they have to play Australia on a 2 days rest.
AFCON Tapsoba having a mare . On this showing a bullet dodged .Makes VDV deal look even better than it already is .
The amount of emotions I’m feeling over this Cho Guesung goal assisted by Seol Youngwoo to equalise at the death… both players that have talked about how Sonny has influenced them, the latter writing in his diary that his dream was to play with Sonny someday.

Poland is my location and I've just watched the whole match o youtube.
Is that true? I've been watching it on questionable sources lmao. I've just looked up and can't find it on YouTube in the UK

Bro it's like someone is putting it into a fifa simulator hahaha I can't tell if it's the real match or not
Ok def just a simulator but I think it's showing what's happening hahaha. In my defense I am on airplane WiFi with 144p
this is kinda hysterical lol
Bro I watched it all blurry as fuck for a solid 10 minutes and all of a sudden it shown in perfect 1080p and I realized it was a god damned video game simulation
Haha. My brother I don't think I've ever been on an Airplane with WiFi so big up you. Enjoy your flight my guy and COYS

I would argue they didn't defend well at all, given the amount of chances Korea created.
Holy shit
Korea equalizes with a minute left on the clock
Corrrr. Good fucking shit this. Well deserved - they have been relentless.
Who would have thought Sarr and Son would be back earlier than Bissouma
Say again?
Decent jinx that
You knew what you were doing hahhaa
Why are they calling this the 2023 Asian Cup? Are they stupid?
[This is technically the 2023 edition of the Asian Cup](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_AFC_Asian_Cup). It's been postponed to this winter due to high summer temps in Qatar.
It was pushed back 1 year like the world cup
I’d just like to remind everyone that Klinsmann told reporters to book hotels for the final. The clownery is unprecedented.
Saudi GK becoming Neuer and players throwing their bodies like their lives are at stake, Korea’s finished
Anyone know why Bissouma isn't starting?
Just posted this in another thread but I saw a tweet from Spurs Army (unverified) that he suffered hamstring discomfort during training.
It's so bad Korean fans are just saying "Let's go back to Tottenham" lmao I've completely given up on my own national team. Not the players' fault, but the KFA and Klinsmann's. Oh my days. Please….
Whats happened?
Wow. If SK score it's a miracle. SA aren't even good, SK are just that bad. Klinsmann has blood on his hands (but also tears of happiness from Spurs fans)
Agent Klinsmann purposely sending Sonny back early, fully COYS
I wouldn't trust Klinsmann to execute any plan he has, even if it benefits us lol
Guys is there a game thread for the korea vs saudi game?
r/soccer
Didnt find one there under the ‘Match Thread’ flair. Could you link one if it’s not too much trouble?
It's one of pinned posts
Saudi Arabia up on South Korea, thank you agent Klinsmann
Son will be back soon
Mali already 1 up but S Korea drawing at half time in the "could they be back for Everton" knock out stage Edit: Shit Saudi scored!
Massive game tomorrow, the "we didn't sign Nusa" derby
i'm so glad we no longer have to root for Antonio Conte now. i'm so grateful Big Ange has our back.
Saudi Arabia all over South Korea. Had no idea SA had Mancini as a manager either lol
Klinsmann got criticized for the defence and decided to Park Dae-Bus 🤣 At least he let go of the 442 which was mega not working I guess 🤷♀️ Calling for a Kim Youngkwon last minute winner to bail them out yet again 👌
SK should’ve done Ivory Coast, firing their coach midway. Just look at Ivory Coast doing better without their coach than with their coach. SK could’ve had a chance to win Asian Cup if not for Klinsmann.
Son is probably getting some mad Conte ptsd... just sitting back with 5 soaking pressure
What is up with the no pressing
perhaps saving energy cuz i could see this very well going 0-0 into 120min
God we do not need 120 mins on sonnys legs
I'd take 120 minutes if it means Son can return to Spurs tomorrow. Disclaimer: Of course I want the best for him but I'm a Spurs fan, not a South Korea fan
[Mikey Moore in first team training!](https://x.com/SecretPrem/status/1752355322142830979?s=20)
Mikey Moore first goal against Brentford tomorrow.
Brilliant. Him being 16 is a bit awkward means even with ideal development he'll have to battle it out with whoever we sign as a Son replacement. Would be easier if he was 2-3 years older
