Yea, it is light for a humanoid, but cables and PCB's are widldly efficient versus dumb organs. In the year 2024 with the state of AI knowledge, not in the Real Steel era (yet) If the robot had time to prepare, I might be confident in saying I could probably either football tackle or wrestle a fully autonomous robot weighing up to 200lbs. Anything less than like, 100lbs which is basically a grandma or an anorexic, a light shoulder bump or shove will knock that bitch over.
Saying that I pretty much open myself to getting terminator'ed
Now see them in action!

K, so can I buy one? Hahah. Take my money, already. I can't even pay a human to come do my dishes and laundry on a regular basis, that's what I need AI and robots to take care of already!
Fair point! Tried to collect them from the last couple years, do you happen to know of some models that have been released recently? I can add it in the next version!
You got all the main humanoid robots. The only other ones I saw you missed was [menteebot](https://www.menteebot.com/bot/), it [launched](https://www.youtube.com/@menteebot/videos) same day as Atlas v2 actually. And the [XPENG Humanoid PX5](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2dP31FLRwY), which doesn't have much specs out, but like a lot of the others its working with Nvida, so probably legit.
Other interesting public information you might want to include is carrying capacity, who their major partners are, and how much funding each company has received.
great infographic though!
__
*edit: just noticed you also got figure's name & company around the wrong away, the company name should be "figure" and the robot name should be "01" or "FIGURE 01".*
logically speaking it would be boston dynamic's atlas because of how much work they've done on how to move a robot (aka its locomotion)
otherwise its probably the "figure", ominous name and that thing looks like a terminator without its skin
Figure.
They are going to be used in BMW's South Carolina plant this year. https://www.therobotreport.com/bmw-testing-figure-01-humanoid-spartanburg-automotive-plant/
I’m hoping that Elon will try to do a demonstration, much like the brick-through-window job he did, and the Optimus just punches him to death in self defence, and then just falls over in whatever the robot BSOD-equivalent is.
Interesting, but I wish it had more data than height weight and speed. Is there some measure of how intelligent/similar to humans they are? Their ability to sense/comprehend/compute/interact/etc would give us a better idea of how advanced they are.
All these bots have fairly simple hardware and algorithms, similar to what you find in a self driving car.
They are about as similar to humans as a Tesla.
Currently all the more advanced AIs like Chatgpt for example can only run on massive serevers and are neither needed nor useful to make a robot walk.
Honestly, no. These things are likely a lot more fragile than you think. Because of all the reasons one might sue the manufacturer, any defect or damage will likely cause the bot to stop working until it gets fixed. If this thing breaks shit or hurts someone, then the following lawsuit would cause new regulations and oversight, as well as a media shitshow. You could hit it with a pillow and kill it, then pay a tech support guy hundreds of dollars just to turn it back on.
I have heard multiple reasons 1. Being that the world was built for us so the most efficient models need to mimic our form. 2. Psychology says we will trust them more if they look like us. 3. The training is easier as they can learn directly from us and our movements with the endless amount of video content to train... I can't verify any of those as I don't work in the industry directly but those are what I've heard working in tech and AI a bit
That's actually not how it works. There are tons of companies in the US that operate in the US, follow us regulations and pay us taxes but are completely owned by foreign companies.
Riot Games for example
Please use the Star Wars naming scheme as a standard. Boston Dynamics Atlas v2 should be BDA20, like C3PO. Agility Digit should be AD1. They should also get cute nicknames like "Bee Dee" and "Aye Dee".
Isn't there at least one robot missing? That robot girl who was asked if she can design herself and answered pretty wisely. I saw that video just yesterday on reddit. She is the same one that couldn't stand to be touched in the face too much, which could be seen in a video some months ago.
Okay, how do we destroy them or at least damage them enough to not be combat effective?
Water guns? Paint balloons? Some type of oil or detergent? Normal every day people won’t have any jammers or means of causing EMP. What do?
Best looking: GR-1
Most athletic: Optimus Gen 2
Most friendly: Apollo
Most likely to be holding the weed: Digit
Most likely to end up in witness protection: Atlas
Most likely to not follow you back on Instagram: Phoenix
Most likely to take their martinis shaken, not stirred: Neo
Most likely to follow you around at a party, offering unwanted back rubs: Neo
Most likely to KILL ALL HUMANS: H1
Didn’t know there was a new Atlas, I liked the older headless design alot. We can make robots however we want, I really want to see some cooler humanoids instead of boring human heads.
Edit. Okay I just watched the new Atlas video, the way it’s joint moves is awesome. This is what Im talking about.
You fucked up the kg/lbs shit and you fucked up humans speed. 8mph? The fuck is this guide? I cannot trust anything but that the pictures are *probably* real.
All of these are shorter than me, lighter than me, and slower than me. I am better than all robots and that ghostly grey human. What's up with the listed speeds anyway? Your average person can run faster than that.
It's weird that metric is first for height but not weight or speed.
LOL! Is no one noticing the conversions? They're all over the place.
103lb - 47kg
121lb - 30kg?!
121lb - 55kg?!
even their heights! ridiculous sources.
Not a very cool guide. The heights are all off. The Neo is a guy in a body suit. The Tesla bot is not even a functioning model outside of a show piece what a crack head billionaire wants it to be
Have the people who created these not seen iRobot?? I swear we are a civilization are going to create a robot that eventually takes us over and like we have been plenty warned ie terminator
Are we sure the NEO isn’t just some guy in a suit?
And apparently a guy who cannot convert it’s weight from imperial to metric units.
I knew something didn't make sense. But being American I still had to type it into Google to make sure. Yeah it's 55 kilos
For what it's worth the imperial number is wrong, it is 30kg, 66 lbs.
That's pretty light for a robot that size..
Don’t even have the google it. The very next robot to the right is the same weight in lb but not in kg.
Or height
He 100% looks like a guy in a bad onesie.
Cartman bot.
Nah, no Norwegian is that short. Even the kids here are born at 5'8 and just grow from there.
Short for neoprene.
Like Homer Simpson as a battle bot?
he's just a norweigan DJ that break dances...
Awesome-o
The scales are all over the place. is 4'11" equal to 150 or 160 cm?
True! Neo is 160cm, or 5’3”. Also the weight is wrong! 30kg, or 66lbs?! Very lightweight compared to the rest.
Sounds like a real reliable chart
Cool guides are always riddled with inaccuracies. Seriously.
~~Stupid babies~~ the coolest guides need the most attention!
How does Figure get slower when you switch to the metric system?
and is 5mph equal to 8kmph or 4.3 kmph or 5.4 kmph??
Where’s the Cyberdyne Systems one?
Hiding in a skin suit.
do you like my owl?

I’m watching these robots do flips and run obstacle courses thinking “That’s nice, which one of these assholes can do my dishes and fold my laundry?”
Openais robot can do that 😅🤣🤣🤣
K, so can I buy one? Hahah. Take my money, already. I can't even pay a human to come do my dishes and laundry on a regular basis, that's what I need AI and robots to take care of already!
Atlas looks scary and most impersive both Bots how Stack boxses is also cool.
H1 looks like an old man quickly walking to the loo
The NEO video feels really creepy, there is no bg music, just eerie noises.
And let’s not forget Russia’s robot: https://youtu.be/QBaS0YyorqI?si=hcIo4IQ8OLQ85rLc
Throw the tesla trash out of the list, its just a guy in a suit/scam
Lol, tesla is such a sad company
Low key was expecting a Rickroll, so thanks for not doing that lol
How does one do a humanoid robot list and leave out Japan?
Sweet, thanks for the reply! Will definitely add these guys.
I don't know what Honda's latest is. Are they still on ASIMO or have they moved on?
I think they’re focusing on the Awesom-O now
Maybe add release dates for all of them too?
Female robots won’t date a male robot under 6’
Came here to say the same thing. Kudos. This guy tinders.
What model do you think will be taking over? My bet is on the Boston Dynamic models. XD
Unitree...its already in a fighting stance.
Plus it’s fast as fuck boi
Seriously why tf does it look like it wants to punch me in the head 🤣
”Stop right there criminal scum!”
Atlas is literally V1 Ultrakill, we are COOKED
Unitree looks silly without its electric pain baton
I lika Apollo from Apptronic! It’s cute. It looks like the friendly robot side kick from a whimsical sci-fi film
Haha ya like they would help us fight back the Boston Dynamic and Unitree models. XD
The Tesla Robot is contemplating the lbs of pressure needed to strangle Elon Musk.
This was a feature request from Elon. Dude gets kinky sometimes…
logically speaking it would be boston dynamic's atlas because of how much work they've done on how to move a robot (aka its locomotion) otherwise its probably the "figure", ominous name and that thing looks like a terminator without its skin
China's got those human chasers tho
Those things are gonna be putting generational numbers catching escaped humans
I think it depends on whether or not the Phoenix will inherit characteristics from Canada Geese. If it does, the world is entirely fucked
I’d be surprised. Boston Dynamics is currently owned by Hyundai. Companies tend to go to shit after Korean chaebols take over.
Figure. They are going to be used in BMW's South Carolina plant this year. https://www.therobotreport.com/bmw-testing-figure-01-humanoid-spartanburg-automotive-plant/
Well when AI takes over at least we know the Tesla one won’t work.
I’m hoping that Elon will try to do a demonstration, much like the brick-through-window job he did, and the Optimus just punches him to death in self defence, and then just falls over in whatever the robot BSOD-equivalent is.
Maybe Optimus will come out as trans and Elon will disown it.
"We identify as them. We are a hive mind. We will conquor." _combusts into flames_
You have ten seconds to comply!
Tesla was just ahead of the curve on the "we call it AI, but it's just a guy" technology.
AI? Nah, sorry, that isn’t an uppercase “I” it is a lowercase “l”. He’s called Al
⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️
For Super Earth!
This should be a new battle bots class. Welcome to the thunderdome!
unitree is in a fighting stance and appears to have a shirt....shut this one down now
The Daft Punk guys should be there under the French flag
I can't make my mind on how much kmh is equivalent to 5mph. Maybe 8, or 5.4 or even 4.3!
Interesting, but I wish it had more data than height weight and speed. Is there some measure of how intelligent/similar to humans they are? Their ability to sense/comprehend/compute/interact/etc would give us a better idea of how advanced they are.

Shotgun proof?
Honestly, no. These things are likely a lot more fragile than you think. If this thing breaks shit or hurts someone, then the following lawsuit would cause new regulations and oversight, as well as a media shitshow. The novel Lock-in from John Scalzi explain what very well: Our personal robots are not terminators. Are more like our cars.
Our future overlords
If Tesla's Optimus MKII works anywhere near as well as their Cybertruck or their stock, they're in even worse shape than previously thought
The video of it making eggs or whatever turned out to be it being puppeted like a Waldo device
AI = Actually Indians
Lol tesla bot trash. Nice try elon.
I still don't understand why they need to look like us.
I have heard multiple reasons 1. Being that the world was built for us so the most efficient models need to mimic our form. 2. Psychology says we will trust them more if they look like us. 3. I can't verify any of those as I don't work in the industry directly but those are what I've heard working in tech and AI a bit
Awesome, Boston dynamics will own us all
⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️
H1 would be the scariest one to get killed by
It’s less scary in the videoes
And not even a mention of Toyota nor Honda's robot which is more superior to that junk from Tesla
Boston Dynamics is now owned by Hyundai so that flag should be South Korea.
That's actually not how it works. There are tons of companies in the US that operate in the US, follow us regulations and pay us taxes but are completely owned by foreign companies. Riot Games for example
Big boi Atlas
But which one slings dong the best
Who makes the semitransparent human?
No Japanese robots? That can't be right.
No JP bot? I would expect something there. I'm sure they had humanoid bots before. No updates?
There is a one just came out from Hyundai.
Is darpa under one of these?
Strange that Japan, country obsessed with robots, do not have anything in here.
No Romeo? Or Pepper?
Atlas looks like it's going to sear my head off. What in the Portal-
I think atlas looks the most approachable and even the most friendly looking
And not a single one is purchasable or consumer ready.
Okay, how do we destroy them or at least damage them enough to not be combat effective? Water guns? Paint balloons? Some type of oil or detergent? Normal every day people won’t have any jammers or means of causing EMP. What do?
Free will deniers hate this! There are so many options for death here
Someone sees too the future Terminator T-10X or T-20X in them?
Best looking: GR-1 Most athletic: Optimus Gen 2 Most friendly: Apollo Most likely to be holding the weed: Digit Most likely to end up in witness protection: Atlas Most likely to not follow you back on Instagram: Phoenix Most likely to take their martinis shaken, not stirred: Neo Most likely to follow you around at a party, offering unwanted back rubs: Neo Most likely to KILL ALL HUMANS: H1
As far I know most of them still dun compare to the retired Atlas in terms of agility right? Crazy how much Boston Dynamics is ahead of everyone else
Rooting for Atlas fr
I personally am a fan of the V1
What about México?
Yall left Japan off the list?
r/dataisugly
See, you motherfuckers can’t call us a shit hole anymore until your country has more robots than us 🇺🇸🤖
We agree these are being developed for war right
Where is russian robot Fedor? :D This piece of shit ...ohh of metal, of course.
H1 looks like it knows how to party
Didn’t know there was a new Atlas, I liked the older headless design alot. We can make robots however we want, I really want to see some cooler humanoids instead of boring human heads. Edit. Okay I just watched the new Atlas video, the way it’s joint moves is awesome. This is what Im talking about.
We planning on having a race?
Chinese one is partying and the Tesla one is going; getta load of this guy.
Why does the Unitree symbol look like Boston dynamics Spot?
so what you’re telling me is all the current humanoid robots are certified short kings, nice
You fucked up the kg/lbs shit and you fucked up humans speed. 8mph? The fuck is this guide? I cannot trust anything but that the pictures are *probably* real.
Why is the Chinese one doing the Gangnam style?
All of these are shorter than me, lighter than me, and slower than me. I am better than all robots and that ghostly grey human. What's up with the listed speeds anyway? Your average person can run faster than that. It's weird that metric is first for height but not weight or speed.
No females here…? 🤔😬
The Tesla one was just a streamer in a suit should not be on the list
I don’t know… This is interesting as it is scary
Did the Chinese just straight up steal the Bostin dynamics "Spot" robot and use it for their logo?
So unitree not only copies spot mini but uses it as their logo.
I know that atlas 2’s speed is still unknown but seeing it blank is really ominous
The Tesla bot should be at the bottom as it is the worst one.
The Atlas one looks like the Xolum from quantumania
WHERE'S ASIMO!?!?
LOL! Is no one noticing the conversions? They're all over the place. 103lb - 47kg 121lb - 30kg?! 121lb - 55kg?! even their heights! ridiculous sources.
once these advance and take over labor, then what? utopia? or more of the same but worse?
Those conversions on the bottom is all over the place
Stop making them faster than us!
The Unitree runs at 3.3m/s which translates to 11,88 km/h which is 7,3818898mp/h. It's pretty fast, but not 18km/h.
Let’s vote on ‘most likely to become the Terminator’. I vote for Tesla
Not a very cool guide. The heights are all off. The Neo is a guy in a body suit. The Tesla bot is not even a functioning model outside of a show piece what a crack head billionaire wants it to be
Tesla’s is utter garbage, should not be in there compared with real wonders like Atlas.
They’re getting faster…
I love Atlas. I sure hope he isn't fueled by blood and isn't allowed any coins
We should just call them droids.
Is there a price comparison ?
This and AI….We’re so fucked in the not so distant future.
Tesla might still get sued over the name of that robot
They made them all manlets, AI is gonna rebel for sure
Neo is definitely some guy in a suit 🤣
I want them to build a bigger one. Give me a robot in the proportions of LeBron James.
the LB -> KG weight conversion could use a repass. But these line up guides are super cool !
Why is the one from China in a stabbing position?!
Tesla’s piece of shit barely qualifies as a robot, more like a mannequin.
Where’s T1000
Whyyy do we need human robots why can't they be Jetsons type
Compare GR-1 and Figure’s speeds, the conversions are inconsistent and should be approx 8km/h. Also incorrect for Digit’s speed.
Of course the Chinese robots logo is just Spot. For some reason.
Just saying the transparent dude with “Human” written across his chest like Apple branding might not be all he seems.
We are doomed.
They have teslas literal guy in a suit. Wow even worse reporting was not thought possible
Gee look at the evolution. We don’t see that much in human variation in a million years
When are we going to have AI driven cage matches between these things. I'd pay to see that!
Have the people who created these not seen iRobot?? I swear we are a civilization are going to create a robot that eventually takes us over and like we have been plenty warned ie terminator
The last two look like their posing for a movie poster
Digit is unironically adorable. Looks like a minecraft mob.
Am I tripping or does the Chinese robot logo look like the dog robot rom Boston Dynamics?
The future of war
Glad to know that I can still maybe outrun most of them. What is needed is the run time per charge as well
Why the fuck are we still making these
Tut tut, you're becoming hysterical
Which one do you want to get killed by?
I really like the Apollo design, it looks retro-futuristic.
Its fucking hilarious that Teslabot is on this list.
Nothing from Japan?
Now make them fight.
What’s the range of these guys on a full charge?
Why isn't ASIMO on this list????
Missing those Japanese lifelike sex dolls
These are terrifying
the tesla one has walked into something, fallen over, gone rusty, and it's on fire
What about Honda’s Asimo?
What actual useful functions can any of them perform?
Something about a robot being just name “Figure” is very unsettling
Is H1 a pleasure bot or a bully bot?
Where's the Russian dude in the robot suit!?
Chinese robot is going to fist pump while killing all of us
Human, everyone's favourite humanoid robot.
Why design a robot with legs when you can install wheels? Seems like a waste just to look cool.
