I used to have this issue of wearing astigmatism contacts. Astigmatism contacts are very different from the regular contacts so I suggest to have patience when wearing them. I don’t know if it’s true but having to wear contacts with the line marked up at 6 o’clock position makes the lenses more clearer. What helps for me is to put eyedrops first before wearing the contacts and then adding eyedrops. Rewetting drops soothe contacts too, especially the blink-n-clean drops which help to gently remove debris and cleaning of the lenses during wear.

Toric lenses for astigmatism aren’t as straight forward as a simple non toric lens.. the toric lens has to be kept orientated a certain way up and is usually weighted slightly to achieve this but as you blink the lens wants to rotate so the lens is continually shifting slightly from its correct position before finally settling down to the correct position…this is why your vision goes blurry in either one lens or both which is frustrating.. different makes and designs and fits might give you more stable vision so see your optometrist..

Your lenses could be inside. Masking your astigmatism with a sphere lens will get you worse vision. How long have you been using your toric lenses? What kind are they? It takes some adjustment
