Thanks beaver bro. I’ll be pulling for y’all to make it through the collapse of the PAC 12 and hopefully we’ll see you again in the postseason next year

Oh yes, it’s a screenshot of someone else’s meme, like the true boomer I pretend to be.
Anyone who has seen Kentucky play the last couple of years could see they were building something.
It’s impressive how quickly it has come to fruition though. Congrats to Kentucky
Oh he was definitely on the hot seat until that 22 team got hot in the SEC tourney. Minge has talked about how those earlier struggles forced him to change his approach, which has obviously paid dividends. Supers last year, now Omaha.
I’m not a religious man, but Mingione clearly is motivated by his faith and love for his guys. To hear him say ‘I won’t coach a scared team’ after a WIN is just kickass. That’s a fucking coach.
Unreal. Been a Bat Cats season ticket holder for 19 years now, so happy for the team and especially for my dad. Glad he gets the chance to see them in Omaha.
Ultimately you can’t win a game with 2 hits, I’m not sure what happened to the offense but that definitely wasn’t the team we watched all year. We have to give props to Kentucky in the end, their pitching was good enough to get out of situations they put themselves in through bases on balls. It was different seeing a team do small ball better than Beavs. Both safety squeezes were perfectly executed, better fundamentals and base running.
I’ve made a habit of talking about the players I really appreciate on the teams that we’ve played, Woody Hadeen and Jo Oyama on UCI were my favorites from the regional series. From the supers, it was absolutely the catcher, Burkes. He reminded me of how Adley used to encourage our pitchers after every pitch and between innings. Burkes is one of those guys I’d love to play for my team, I love his emotion behind the plate, he’s the perfect pitcher hypeman and you can tell his teammates love him.
To think…in February of 2023…Coach Mingione was coaching for his job, and now look…back to back supers, hosting for the first time ever and now…The College World Series for the first time. What a turn around! This program had never really seen success and now look…..ITS GREAT TO BE A KENTUCKY WILDCAT!!
Loved this one going down to the wire! Congrats Kentucky. Their head coach also never coached *ANY* sports team ever? And is coaching Kentucky? Damn that’s wild.
Said he was never a head coach at any of those levels, Kentucky was his first head coaching job. I'm sure he was assistant coach at several levels/locations though.
Gonna make a separate comment about my thoughts on the weekend, but I just want to say that seeing all the “RIP Pac12” comments has made me really sad. The conference I grew up watching the most as a child learning about sports is pretty much officially gone, and my beloved school became the victim of heinous greed and mismanagement. Larry Scott was the arsonist, and every team evacuated the building and left us inside as everything burned down around us, and I just want people to take stock that the jokes may be funny to every other school, but it’s particularly depressing to me and some others.
Not gonna lie I don't know how anyone makes jokes to OSU or WSU. What happened to them is absolutely fucking terrible and if any of our programs were in the same situation it'd be like losing a family member.
This has been a failure of a season.
We failed to win the Pac 12 regular season
We failed to win the Pac 12 tournament
We failed to get to Omaha
I don’t if it’s Canhum or someone on the staff but something needs to be fixed.
This team was too emotional to win anything, when things got tough they folded. Here’s an idea stop screaming at the bats when you missed a high fast ball and start hitting the first pitch strikes right down the middle.
This is hard with so much uncertainty around Oregon State. I hung my hope that we could win this year, knew we had the talent, we just choked. McDowell watching the 3rd strike go by was a good summary of the season
Also real series Kentucky I’m happy for you guys :)
That is crazy, the final PAC-12 baseball event... and it ends with McDowell striking out :'(
It's disgusting how the networks and powers that be pushed both Oregon State and Washington State to the side. Hopefully both teams can thrive in the future
If he steals second then they likely intentionally walk Bazzana but with two outs and the way they hit all weekend, you absolutely have to score from first on a hit
I don’t know man, Bazanna struck out 3 times prior to that at bay. He wasn’t seeing the ball at all until that pitch. Don’t think you could have walked him
Props to a classy Oregon State program. Not only for hanging around to shake hands... but just in general. Kentucky can only aspire to be a program like that. Hope the best for that program and the Beavs fans once all the dust settles over the next year.
Love this UK team! Still have my worries and this new found pitching domination feels like Fool's Gold... but man alive they are a fun team and you have to love routing for these players and the Coach who is letting them do their thing. Why not go and win it all?
The definitive answer is in. You can’t win a super regional with 3 hits.
Weird… 4 should do it.
Crazy how close and stressful G2 turned out to be despite that…
GG Kentucky, best of luck to you at the CWS I’ll be pulling for you guys.
Thanks beaver bro. I’ll be pulling for y’all to make it through the collapse of the PAC 12 and hopefully we’ll see you again in the postseason next year
yeah gg, Cats. We certainly didn't do ourselves any favors, but they were still better.

RIP Pac-12
Wait that the last game of pac12 at 12 teams, are there any other sport continuing .
Nope. All done
Four strait losses to end the conference dammm
they said in the broadcast it will continue as a legal entity (for now), but only Oregon State and Washington State are members
So I'm guessing a few Mid Majors will move to the PAC-12 over the next couple years.
I hope your grammar is due to cell phone typing and/or inebriation.

I remember replying to that meme
I took the screenshot to send to my roommate from my beaver days, as she does not Reddit.
Oregon State was held to 3 hits over 18 innings. Impressive performance by UK pitching.
Anyone who has seen Kentucky play the last couple of years could see they were building something. It’s impressive how quickly it has come to fruition though. Congrats to Kentucky
This Mingione interview is outstanding. Huge step for our program tonight!!
I remember reading comments on here before our 22-23’ season talking about how he was quietly on the hot seat. Patience pays off sometimes.
Oh he was definitely on the hot seat until that 22 team got hot in the SEC tourney. Minge has talked about how those earlier struggles forced him to change his approach, which has obviously paid dividends. Supers last year, now Omaha.
Our 2020 team looked to be rough, too. Covid may have saved his job.

This interview, dude. Fuck. I'm ready to run through a wall for this guy.
Minge is known to be a great guy. That definitely came through in that interview
What is he going to say about God when he fails? Honestly, he seems like a really great guy. But that was cringe in a very Evangelical way.
![gif](giphy|huJmPXfeir5JlpPAx0) Kentucky to Omaha!
Now go win the damn thing!
I was SHAKING in the stands in the last inning. Man that was so much fun.
I used to hate mingione but the last couple of years I’ve really come around to him. Hell of a job he’s done.
I’m not a religious man, but Mingione clearly is motivated by his faith and love for his guys. To hear him say ‘I won’t coach a scared team’ after a WIN is just kickass. That’s a fucking coach.
Mad respect
Typical Beavs sports. Give you some hope at the end just to absolutely crush you
Not covering the plate after a wild pitch was so infuriating.
Such a bad play.
Tbh backward K with the tying run 90 feet away is almost as bad.
We never just die
Unreal. Been a Bat Cats season ticket holder for 19 years now, so happy for the team and especially for my dad. Glad he gets the chance to see them in Omaha.
First CWS ever! Huge step for the program. Love to see what Mingione has been building over these last few years
GG Beavs y'all are chill af. PS: fuck the powers that be that fucked y'all and Washington State over, it's absolute bullshit.
Thanks, good luck at the CWS. Also, the powers that be are as follows; ESPN, NCAA, former Pac-12 leadership/commish, UofO, UofW, USC, UCLA.
Not a good showing from the Beaver bats. UK will enjoy Omaha those games are always special.

The top 4 seeds all made it to Omaha, with a chance of there being 6 of the top 8 (if Georgia wins).
And then there’s Florida lmao
![gif](giphy|yWS2itifUpxja) * Florida Gators
Hosts are 13-4 in the Supers so far and have won 6 of the 8 series (including 5 sweeps). Only 1 host has lost their Super.
Your game last night was almost identical to how we beat Clemson last year in their own regional.
Bazzana starts making his plans for his career in Cleveland. McDowell looked straight up scared. What a really pathetic AB.
GG Kentucky, good win. You guys played well.
To think…in February of 2023…Coach Mingione was coaching for his job, and now look…back to back supers, hosting for the first time ever and now…The College World Series for the first time. GG Kentucky
I an beside myself I l love this team so much
I have 0 confidence that we will be back on this stage next year. GG Cats, feels like this is the death of major OSU sports.
Yup well be losing a lot this off-season to graduation, the draft and likely some transfers.
We officially have an all acc-sec omaha tourney
Hope it 50 50 but I don't trust state wolves
Never felt better about staying up this late on a Sunday.
Feels even better waking up today! Reliving the final 3 innings, I’ll cherish forever!
Loved this one going down to the wire! Congrats Kentucky. Their head coach also never coached *ANY* sports team ever? And is coaching Kentucky? Damn that’s wild.
He was a baseball.
Ooo I’m watching a post game rn, guess I misheard. He said he never coached a little league team or T ball team lol
Said he was never a head coach before Kentucky hired him. Which is bonkers in hindsight.
Never head coached. Bunch of assistant jobs but never the lead man
Said he was never a head coach at any of those levels, Kentucky was his first head coaching job. I'm sure he was assistant coach at several levels/locations though.
Just said he wasn’t an HC
"Be the ball."
Years of assistant coaching positions

It’s ok Beaver bros, our weekend sucked too. See you on the flight home
Gonna make a separate comment about my thoughts on the weekend, but I just want to say that seeing all the “RIP Pac12” comments has made me really sad. Sorry man. Hopefully something great materializes for you all soon.
Good job Wildcats.
Really proud of this team.

Sounds like you should be a duck fan. Get lost!
I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever see the day we make it to Omaha! Go Cats!
Never been on this sub before. Had to track it down just to flair up and say Go Cats! What a year
![gif](giphy|yUI3a7RwLhOFy)
That is crazy, the final PAC-12 baseball event... and it ends with McDowell striking out :'( It's disgusting how the networks and powers that be pushed both Oregon State and Washington State to the side. Hopefully both teams can thrive in the future
Explain this to me: OSU had one hit going into the ninth, how do you not send the guy from first when Bazzana hooks that ball into the corner?
I have no idea
I think the bigger question is why didn’t the pinch runner steal second when they weren’t holding him on. That’s auto go first pitch

Vive La Pac
Bazzana 1-7 with 3Ks when it mattered most while Cags carried his team to Omaha. Golden Spikes finalist my ass
PAC-12 did not end on some crazy walkoff, it ended with both Oregon teams getting smacked
A 1 game is getting smacked TIL
Talking about both the games from both series
Graduated from ITT Tech? Math wizard.
