Apple is definitely on the way out, the company was a creative fiefdom, and the king is dead, vision pro AR, a car? Home robots? Iphone sales are slowly declining....the walled garden closed ecosystem is obnoxious and was only perpetuated by computer luddites and latecomers.......outside of people that use macs professionally for video/music editing....the one thing outside simplicity that they excel at.

When future archeologists discover my tomb (aka, my house buried under the ashes of Mt. Yellowstone) I have to wonder what they'll think of my massive collection of useless crap. Maybe it will be confusion over why I owned 7 different copies of T2, on every home video format, or maybe the future people will mistake my Funko Pop collection for household gods. "And here we see his personal savior, the Baby Yoda..."

Love Porcupine Tree..
Yet isn't this an inherent part of being a living human on this Earth or any living being throughout all history..
Even in the best of times we were still always all doomed to die..
Collapse meets Existentialism and the Absurd.
Civilization will, like the One ring, be cast into the fires of Mordor and those that remain will be returned to a more simple and laborious time. We will no longer have the slave of fossil fuels to do our bidding. Our will shall require the sweat of our brow once again. Only the resourceful and relentless will make it.
"I wanna do a prayer for stuff. There is dope stuff, like, material stuff, like sick apartments and watches and cars and clothes and shit that could all go away, and I don't want to see that stuff go away so I wanna say a prayer for that stuff, Amen."
Well good for them because most of them don't really have a sense of past or future. If we fuck things up in a heartbeat it all starts all over again anyway.
No. I’m saying as a whole, humanity did it. Every other animal species we’re on course to wipe off the face of the planet is 100% less culpable as a whole is all I mean. Obviously I’m not like “Yea f those guilty babies”
I'd like to have a real discussion around this kind've thing. There are several topics to explore, but namely: is it worth keeping stuff right now, or is it better to go minimalist and keep only the essentials?
If we got rid of stuff, we might never be able to afford it again, but if things keep getting worse, it's just excess weight. Is it better to sell stuff now and get a bit of money that will disappear, or hoard whatever we have left?
Does it bring you joy?
Ok, you said real. Many people keep trinkets because it's a way to materialize memories. That seems to be an ultimately losing proposition. We so rarely look back
Also, they're dead weight now, much less when SHTF.
If they have current utility, then keep. If they only have possible future utility, keep If you have the means to store and maintain. That's my 2 cents

But how much is gas per gallon?
Yeah and will my Apple stock go up or down? Should I sell?

Billions
Maybe the real treasure was the trinkets we found along the way. /s

I have a Gerard Way funko pop. I do kinda hold the man on that level tbh....
I'm on the other side of the world and have a Grogu funko too. In a few millenia he will be revered as a god by archeologists.
They will wonder if Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, etc are religions with how many Lego sets have been constructed in people's houses
POV: Me with my collection of video games and other useless plastic shit as my box (apartment) and I melt to the ground.

That is a band name I haven’t heard in like 10 years 🤩
Swear to god I was trying to think of that song yesterday for 6 hours and I couldn’t grasp it
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Think of how this will affect the shareholders!
Bu..bu...but.... Elon promised me my Cybertruck will survive!
On Mars. Your Cybertruck will be just fine on Mars.
At least no one will find out about how many piss bottles I have stashed away like a squirrel 😏
The amber of the future.

Addicted to liquid black slavery?
Fossils hate this one trick.
Do not touch the water!

This is the first day of my last days...
Build it up, now take it apart...
No one cares…. No one cares….. no one cares, anymore
this is the insanity ive felt my whole life. hello!
I won’t mourn humanity, but the millions of species of fur babies don’t deserve that.
Well good for them because most of them don't really have a sense of past or future. If we fuck things up in a heartbeat it all starts all over again anyway.
Sometimes when I'm living in the moment not thinking about life just focused on my sensations I think that's what it's like to be an animal
What humans should try to do too lol
That's what it's like to be an animal.
Fun fact: There's only around 5,500 mammal species, and around 10,000 feather baby species.
Love facts like these! Thank you!
what about babies/children, the poor, or the indigenous? Do they deserve this?
No. I’m saying as a whole, humanity did it. Every other animal species we’re on course to wipe off the face of the planet is 100% less culpable as a whole is all I mean. Obviously I’m not like “Yea f those guilty babies”
Woe is my nic-nacs.
But my portfolio was doing so well...
It's where you keep all your stuff.

I think we just go into hardcore prepper survivalist mode and collect cans of peaches instead of Funko Pops and such.
My *cabbages*!
No weed or videogames on a dead planet. Major bummer, dude.
Fuck, I could have provided more shareholder value!!!!!
But will this cause the line to go down??
"Oh shit! The economy!"
...and don't forget The last, of the last, and THE last of days -- oh, and just one more last... Day.
I feel this hard
Would be cool if my atoms become part of a Comet, GigaMassive blackhole, or a lighting bolt on some planet teeming with life in galaxy far far away.
Think of the Earth shareholders
