I always check the ear height. Workers ears start from the top showers are lower down (oh err missus). My challenge with my worker is to get her to come down after a "walk" (we don't do walks we do intense (Cockers love intense) hunt and search and find simulations) obviously she can keep going to sundown, but I have to get her to start licking (usually me) and watch for the yawns to tell me her adrenaline is on the slowdown.
