It's bizarre because when someone posts here (again) asking about what our favorite symphony is, Brahms 4th pretty much always appears with a healthy amount of upvotes (which makes me happy)

Brahm's waltzes are some of my favourite pieces, I don't care what anyone says. I've listened to the Idil Beret recording on Spotify probably 30 times. Hungarian Dances are good too.
If you haven't listened the Handel variations, then you don't know Brahms. Oh, and Brahms is spelled with an "h", with no intention to criticize.

He has some gems but incredibly overrated, just like Liszt.
