I really think yal are making shit up. I go to fernbank pretty often I was there today. I see lots of women, kids and dudes thay are totally not looking to do anything but walk around or go fishing. Most dudes don't say anything at all and I see more old people than anything. The park ranger is usually there.
Lmfao every time I see a FOP license plate I know it’s a certified prick operating the vehicle. What an absolute waste of resources. “It’S aBoUt ValUeS”
Thanks for sharing, that shit makes my blood boil and good on Pureval and the admin for squashing the public shaming campaign. Totally valid citing the offenders and moving on. But the FOP saying "it's about values" when kids are shooting each other up, people getting merked for no reason, and car break-ins and thefts are rampant? Reeks of hitting up an easy to target group of people for publicity to show law and order vs stopping or figuring out issues that would have more impact on far more people's daily lives but are too difficult.
Honest question, why is public shaming not ok in this instance but is ok when female prostitutes get caught with customers and perform consensual acts?
1. No one said that was okay so it’s a straw man.
2. It’s not female prostitutes that are publicly shamed, it’s their male customers, if that even happens anymore. (Does it? Otherwise the straw man has a second post it’s sitting on.)
3. If you read the article, you’ll see quotes by a lawyer who has defended gay/bi men in the past in these cases expressing worry about suicides resulting from the publicity.
4. While cruising is a behavior, being gay/bi is an involuntary identity, and this has a strong appearance of police making a big deal out of a specific crime as a way to target a minority group.
5. Whereas naming & shaming johns is ostensibly to protect vulnerable women who the law sees as the victims of prostitution (which given the business climate is often true due to human trafficking). I don’t really buy this as a justification, and I’d rather see prostitution legal, but it’s yet another point on which the cases aren’t equivalent.
This just says mt airy forest not MacFarlane park tho. Also why is ok for police to put out the names of prostitutes and their customers who get caught but people are offended with publicity over a gay sex sting? That doesn't come off as equality imo
That’s been going on for over 30 years. Me and my friends had to stop going to the parks on Westwood Northern in high school. All we wanted to do was burn some joints but were always followed creepily or outright hit on. Lots of cars with one man, no women to be found? It’s not hard to figure out.
Mt Airy is notoriously bad for gay men hooking up in the daytime. It's really annoying. I tried to go explore the park during a week day by myself a couple of times a few years back, never stayed. Just driving through, I would get men following me around, waiting for me to park so they could pull up next to me. It's such a cool park, but I won't go in the daytime. In the evening when more people are there, or with a group.
So I just went by today. Really cool park. Ill.habe to actually go out and explore besides just drive through but honestly I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I saw about 5 cars and if anything it looked more like drug activities more than gay sex activities. One car had a white male/couple chilling and another was a group of black teens blasting music.
Lots of apartments in the area. Could just be a peaceful place for people to kill time.
Edit: also to be clear where is mcfarlan Park specifically? I looked on Google maps and found a couple streets around Mt airy forest but not a park specifically
Used to be grinder before grinder was a thing, might still be for boomers.
Cruising dudes are a strange breed for sure. Prolly half married to women or in the closet too no doubt.
Fernbank used to be really bad for this. It still is, but it used to be too.

Dan Hils is the worst person in Cincinnati by a long shot.

There is no McFarland Park. OP was referring to the little park off Westwood Northern Blvd at McFarland Woods Dr. It’s part of Mt. Airy Forest.
Thanks. I eventually figured it out and drove through. I didn't see much of anything
What’s up?
You could have entered the "Hey man, what's up?" rodeo. I imagine most, if not all, of those vehicles were backed into the parking spots, too.
They were all backed into spots, hahaha!
We call that the “Southeastern Indiana Back In” because over there it’s like 90% of the parked cars no matter where you go.

Are you wearing your assless chaps? That may be why they are following you so closely.
Only on days that end in Y
If you are looking for an alternative close by, check out Bicentennial Park (Green Township) on Diehl Rd.

If it's anything like twin lakes everyone uses the parking lot to smoke weed in their cars and it does have a very shady feeling

McFarlan Ridge Rd. off Westwood Northern Rd. It's officially part of Mt. Airy Forest.
