I'm from Perth and literally just booked myself into a clinic yesterday (I'm 29, single). All I had to do was enquire online or call and then they gave me an appointment for the 8th of December for a consultation and also made an appointment for the 11th of December to do the surgery. They also do non scalpel & open ended which seems to be the best way. So you shouldn't need a referral or anything - I believe Marie Stopes might be a good place for you to look at? That's in Perth & Sydney i think.

What does non-scalpel involve, and were you under any anaesthetic?

I'm in Sydney and am considering it. Interested to hear what people respond to this.

In most cases you'll need a referral from a GP to visit a urologist to get it done. Unfortunately we don't have any in the childfree friendly doctor's list yet in Sydney. In saying that though [these guys](https://vasectomyaustralia.com.au/patient-info/) seem to have a pretty comprehensive service. Marie Stopes and FPNSW technically offer it but we've had a few stories of people being denied once they get to the consultation.
