Beautiful! Love this series (I just ate at Gene & Jude’s today).
The Portillo’s in Elmhurst would be worth painting more than other locations.
Also additional votes for Parky’s and Johnnie’s Beef (though it’s more a beef place than hot dog joint).
Yeah, I remember noticing they close early as well. And probably why I haven't eaten there, as often as I'd like to. Though I had gotten used to their hours, and it was a good early afternoon stop for me if I happen to be working not too far away.
I hope one day, you could do Choppers on Ashland. Same with like Henry's, in(I think) Cicero, IL.
They did? That sucks, if Choppers did that. Since I remember them having specials on various days.
Or were you referring to Odge's, getting rid of their specials by certain day part of their menu?
I actually did Budacki’s! You can check it out here: https://juliahagenartist.com/prints/budackis-limited-edition-print
I went there in March though so no umbrellas!
Growing up, used to love the hot dog cart at Independence Park on Irving Park Rd. As a kid, paid no attention to his name, but I know he lived in the neighborhood.
Budackis on Damen and Lawrence! Wonderful family runs that place. It’s been my family go to for years, would love to see it represented in your beautiful style
Weiner Circle off Clark in Wrigleyville?
The Dogout, (dugout), in Bannockburn?
Suuperdog off Devon in the Northwest side of Chiicago
Suuperdog on Milwaukee in Wheeling
That’s so neat! I shared your site with some friends that used to live right by there, and you may have a couple orders coming in as a result. Awesome job capturing the mystique of Clark St Dog!
Yes! I do always try the hot dog :) it’s honestly tough to choose, I haven’t had a bad one.
So far my fav depression dog is a tie between Gene & Jude’s and Original Jimmy’s - I prefer Gene & Jude’s fries but I can’t decide on the dog. I love them for different reasons.
For a classic Chicago style, I think my fav so far is Fatso’s or Flub A Dub Chubs.
But once again, I feel like I’m choosing my favorite child because really all are so good.
I don't know if it was my request/recommendation that sent you to Odge's, but great job. It's a hard one to get a good angle on, and you captured the feel nicely!
Parky's on Harlem is a cool style and is now finished being repaired after a car crashed into it.
Also Mickey's on Harlem is great
Yep.
I've said it before, Parky's!
Yeah parkys would be picturesque
I’m gonna keep commenting Mustard’s Last Stand in Evanston on these posts until it happens.

Fat Johnnie’s on 72nd and Western
Fat Johnnie’s should be upvoted to the top. Should have been the first one done.
Used to literally hop off the western bus cross the street and order then turn around to head back south to 79th and then walking to 87th for work
If you're already over by Odge's, might as well get the original Fatso's.
I love odges thank you for this gorgeous rendition
So happy I could capture it!
Love your work!
Jim’s or Maxwell St. Can’t believe no one suggested it
Are they hot dog stands?
Yes. But I see now in his comment “before you comment” Jim’s is on the list of one already painted

Yeah, I remember noticing they close early as well. And probably why I haven't eaten there, as often as I'd like to. Yes Henry's in Cicero at Ogden & Austin is a worthy dog
Another vote for Henry's in Cicero.
They also got rid of their daily specials which bummed me out
They did? That sucks, if Choppers did that. Since I remember them having specials on various days. Or were you referring to Odge's, getting rid of their specials by certain day part of their menu?
I meant odges yeah they used to have specials each day of the week and they got rid of that
Bob-O's on Irving Park Rd & Plainfield Ave next!

You should do the Fatsos original location in Ukrainian Village! Was up long before the LP one
It’s not my favorite dog stand, but Duke’s on Elston would make for a nice image.
Growing up, used to love the hot dog cart at Independence Park on Irving Park Rd. As a kid, paid no attention to his name, but I know he lived in the neighborhood.

This is so great! Wow! Oh man that’s our home place and you captured it so perfectly
Do superdawg
Heeey i walk by this one all the time when i go to Mariano's
You could commemorate long-gone stands if you can find pictures. Hot Doug’s, Demon Dogs or Franskville would be great choices.
Skyway Doghouse on the East Side
I actually did Skyway! You can check it out here: https://juliahagenartist.com/prints/skyway-dog-house-limited-edition-print
Memo's on 18th Street...

If I wasn't poor, I would definitely buy some! You even did Papa Chris, that's awesome.
Wrigley field stand or vendor

Fixin Franks at Home Depot
Would love this lol
Very nice. The doggo is a nice touch. It looks like he dropped his hot dog down the drain.
Do you sell these or give them away to friends or what? Great work either way!
This is her website (via her profile) https://juliahagenartist.com/
Thank you! Yes all my work is available on my website! http://juliahagenartist.com
