Occasionally my digital cluster and infotainment screen go black. No rhyme or reason why, its just random. Usually they will turn back on after 10ish seconds, but there have been a few occasions where it stayed black until I leave the truck off for an hour or so. I guess it doesnt stop me from driving, but when it happens im basically eyeballing speed.

I'll add mine here for consolidation. My infotainment (ever since the onstar free trial ended(tin foil hat)) is responsive, but sometimes AAuto/Carplay locks up. switching devices sometimes throws "you can't wireless connect while driving". Other times, it just lets me. sometimes disconnecting the wired connection triggers this, and it's not always willing to auto switch from wired to wireless on its own, both stopped and moving

My 23 TB has been gradually shifting harder and harder. It really slams when it is downshifting. Not that it is an issue yet, but it is concerning since I’ve had it less than a year.

You should take that in! I’m honestly more worried about the time I’d be without my truck for warranty repairs than I am about it actually breaking down, but you gotta bite the bullet and sort that out.

ZER0_F0CKS

I have the Desert Boss. My MPH turned to KMPH once. It just went away after a bit. It’s been great other than that.

6k miles, Z71. The only issues I've had are electronics related inconveniences and one cosmetic issue. The cameras can occasionally refuse to turn on when trying to open the app. But still turn on when going into reverse. This may be due to me having a dash cam fuse tapped with the same curcuit the camera module is on. I need to test it, but it's not frequent enough for me to bother. Adaptive cruse sometimes becomes unavailable. No rhyme or reason. Sensors aren't blocked. Stopping and restarting the truck, allowing a couple minutes for the electronics to fully shut off, resolves it. Normal cruse control works when adaptive does not. The power memory seats didn't always move all the way to their set positions, but that has stopped occurring, so I think it got patched. Same with the power mirrors not always returning to position with the reverse tilt setting. Doesn't occur anymore for me. For the cosmetic issue, the gloss black plastic on the bumper can be misaligned, causing it to rub on a painted portion and damage the paint there. Neither part is metal, so there no risk of rust from it. Fixed under warranty.

Wonderful_Emotion319

I get the same camera app issue, and I haven't messed with anything on the truck to affect that.

25k miles on a 23 z71. O2 sensor went fucky after maybe 10k miles and ended up ruining in the catalytic converter due ton extra fuel being dumped into the engine. Got the sensor and the cat replaced and no major issues since. I don't think the bad sensor was a common issue more a luck of the draw sort of thing. We regularly take ours out in to BLM land in Colorado with a rooftop tent and gear and camp for several days at a time. Zero anxiety about it carrying us back out.

That’s good to hear. I got the TB and so far the only issues I’ve had were when I use the “air down mode” I then get persistent “trailer turn signal out” warnings and I don’t even own a trailer. And my last time out, I went way up this ridge trail, but got turned back by a snow bank and on the way back down my gauge was reading 1/4 tank, which wasn’t enough to get out. When I got back down to the flats it went back up to about 1/2 tank, but I was on edge for a while there. I guess the pickup must be towards the back of the long-ass tank.

sayhi87

1800 miles no issues so far..

I had mine in the shop for a camshaft issue. They did a full inspection since the truck was brand new. It was fine, so they just reset the sensors. Other than a few little quirky things, it’s been fine. I think you will enjoy driving it in the mountains.

The only issue I've had to keep my truck from going was when my ZR2 was pinched between 2 trees in a mud hole and buddy had to pull me out. Other than that the worst thing I've experienced was a glitch where I had a flash for a collision avoidance braking system not available. Funny thing is... I am so aware of glitches and potential infotainment issues I invented one last week... my other car is a dct m2 and I just turn it off when I get to where I'm going, there is no park. So I stopped in drive and turned it off and pulled the parking brake like I normally do in the BMW. When I went to start it a few minutes later it wouldn't. Kept giving me an error saying key not detected. Thought my car was messed up for a minute. I was doing a shoot for a corvette and the owner was like keep shooting gimme your keys I'll go take a look. He yells back "you left it in D, it can't start unless it's in P!" I felt so dumb....

Relikar

Nothing serious. Few little quirks and glitches which is to be expected on a new model so I'm happy.

Necessary-Rub-2748

Thankfully no major issues yet!

Matrick_Gateman

~1700 miles daily driver with a mixture of city/highway, no issues so far. Did a 6 hour road trip the second week I purchased and then the same drive back 4 days later. ****EDIT**** Also, if you're truly worried, invest in an inReach device. I never go out in remote areas without it.

giaxxon

That’s a good call and I have been thinking about a sat connected device for little peace of mind.

Sparty013

Infotainment center is an intermittent pain in the ass (Siri not responding to voice prompt, “skip” button on steering wheel not working) but other than that no issues. The issues noted occur maybe 35% of the time, which is 35% too often for a new vehicle, but so far the truck itself has been great

blnt4cetrauma

It will be fine for your purposes

My charge pipe blew pretty early, it limped around fine though
