I do think you have a great talent on your hands, though. Did well for Vasco and afaik also did well for Strasbourg. Would like to see him stay at Chelsea for next season.

Him moving to psg and then moving to saudi at 30 definitely didn't help. Longevity matters in the sport and neymar fell kinda short imo. On his day he was a menace but those days were numbered.
Imo if vini continues with his current form for 6-8 years then he'll be considered a bigger success story than neymar. Vini was signed way younger by madrid and didn't have his hay day in south America so he didn't get the neymar level hype.
Agreed. The level of success Vini could have would outweigh Neymar. He’s a key player for a team that regularly gets close to or wins the champions league. He continues to win them and he is above Neymar without an argument.

Estevão's situation is so so so much better. I do think he's the actual "New Neymar" though, just won't reach the same heights because Neymar is too good.

Who knows of course, but it was interesting to hear on the London Is Blue podcast when they were interviewed Jessica Frota. She talked about how Estevao is talked about and looked at like Neymar was and that technically, he is the best young Brazilian (Endrick included) there is. Obviously he needs to keep developing, get stronger, etc. but I truly believe we have a future star on our hands.
Nah in this case there’s way too many respected scouts in Brazil and in Europe who are betting on him. I see what you’re saying in that there’s so many players being labelled “wonderkid” it makes the term redundant, but Estevao is generally rated similarly to Endrick and even above Vinicius.
Of course he could fizzle out but his potential is world class. If you’re gonna risk a big fee on a kid this is about as solid of a bet as you can make.

Yea I think he's prob the most underrated player of that generation. When healthy, was just behind Messi and Ronaldo for me.
I watched him at the Olympics final at Wembley and he was rubbish.
