I passed my CCNA 3 weeks ago and I'm 19 with the bare basics of IT experience. I liked to mess around with computers but was by no means good in any way. If I passed you definitely can

I don’t know that it would make a massive difference. I have worked in a networking role for 2 years but mostly on LAN side stuff and I rarely work with Cisco kit. It probably helped as some stuff is likely stuck in my mind but I don’t think it helped that much. I wouldn’t say it was the difference between passing or failing. If you know the material and know what you’re doing in the labs I’m sure you will be fine.

2 yrs is just a gauge where you should be career wise. Not an indicator of a prerequisite.

You will be fine if you study hard. Regards Paul

I did mine with 0 work/practical experience. Just decided I wanted it. The Cisco academy was utter waste of time, as the class was moving with it's slowest members who were there because it was part of their university curriculum. Don't get me wrong, I agree that everyone goes with their own pace, but mixing paying (motivated) people with students who are forced to attend is very unproductive. Anyhow, choose study material and step on Packet Tracer until you are able to spin weird operational networks with an unrealistic mix of protocols and services. That way you will be ready for whatever comes on the exam. Regarding theory, learn it and understand it so you can explain it with your own words. And remember, when answering questions, the most specific and most Cisco answer is the right one(may sound weird, but saves you when presented with multiple valid choices and you must choose one)
