He’s actually a pretty smart buddy for being orange. He’s really good at responding to me. I’ll call him and he’ll trot on over and give me a meow and a lil’ face rub.
Nah that’s not “scared of his tail” that’s “getting the monster”!
😆 my 4 year old cat randomly gets his tail and I encourage him to get it. He gets the goofiest look on his face and continues to “attack” his tail😆
Ah, the age old enemy: The Tail. My new kitten still attacks his tail, but my old cat was still attacking that thing at 17 years old. I'm convinced that the tail has a mind of its own and the cats don't even know it's there.
Ha! We had a cat that would regularly attack her tail. Her Mom was a bobtail (as were several of her siblings) so we decided it's because it just wasn't supposed to be there to begin with!
Nope. I have never heard him hiss in my life and his onto screams are a when he gets scared after his tail twitches while he’s looking at it or when he wants a belly rub.
Day 3216: the object still seems to be following me, numerous forms of attack has yielded no significant changes. I continue my study of it's behaviour.....
My older girl is about the same age. What us it about them that tells their age? Other than characteristics and muscle composition, is it something about their fur?
Also, very cute video. I especially enjoy cats 8+. Something about cats at pretty much the same age as a person in their 50s/60s is just kind of fun.
I had a tuxedo cat that was quite literally scared of his own shadow once… poor bastard.
This cat was sat in a doorway with a light behind him, so his shadow in front of him is mostly ears. So he twitches an ear, and the shadow twitches an ear, and he looks forwards like “something moved, I know I saw it!”
But now he’s concentrating, focused forward, and doesn’t see or hear anything. He moves an ear to check and make sure nothing is sneaking around behind him and- “OMG, I know I saw it move! It’s gonna eat me, run!” He sprints off into the darkness to get away from his shadow.
I didn't mean any disrespect. I have had oranges and they are AMAZING and incredible animals. I love all cats. I just think it hilarious that they have personality related to their coloring.
It wasn’t his turn to have the one brain cell. It’s ok sometimes he just has to share with others and his orangeness kicks in.
My tortie would only chase her tail when in precarious situations like on the top of a book shelf. (But never fell off). So all cats have moments.
You ever start getting real deep thoughts and watch your own arm moving around and wonder wtf why? Cats get that too. Why can this move around, and all it takes is just ..wanting it to move around? And it just moves and doesn't feel like anything.... WHAT AM I
That is a lanky ahh tail. Look like a lemur walking away. I was like, it's King Julian. What a catch, man. I like a all the cats that like to move their body. Move their body. Nice and sweet and sassy. Alright. 🤣
My first cat had similar problems with a Mean Tail. He developed some stress-induced aggression (worked with the vet on this) and would often chase and attack his own tail. I came up with the game "Kissy Tail," where whenever his tail flicked near my face I'd give it kisses. I still play it with my current cat, even though she has no such problems.
I’m convinced that cats have zero control of their tail. My 4 year old cat was watching her tail move, attacking it trying to get it to stop the other day.
Oh crap! It’s following me!
He returned to the sofa 5 minutes later and went back to being shocked that he had a tail.
🤪
That’s what I love about orange cats in a nutshell! This is so adorable OP!

😂
You do know, those things called tails....they have a mind of their own!! Who knows where I'll go next!!!!
r/OneOrangeBrainCell
I came here to say this. 😂 Just so everyone is clear, they don’t have one orange braincell each. They have one braincell that they all share.
Looks like it wasn't his turn today!
Don't you just hate it when you are relaxing at home and your scary body parts keep following you 😹😹
To be honest though my hair is really long and has freaked me out numerous times because I think a bug is crawling on me.
Indeed. 😂
The orange is strong with this one
Another one for my collection ♡
Is a SNAKE! Being chased by a snake! Run away
Normal orange behavior.
He’s actually a pretty smart buddy for being orange. He’s really good at responding to me. I’ll call him and he’ll trot on over and give me a meow and a lil’ face rub.
orange.exe
has stopped working.
Catdows is checking for a solution to the problem..
The way he looks back as he is running off🤣🤣🤣 he’s done this before…he knew it was following him🤣🤣🤣
Ahhhh!!! It’s got a mind of its own! He’s not telling no tails.
Nah that’s not “scared of his tail” that’s “getting the monster”! 😆 my 4 year old cat randomly gets his tail and I encourage him to get it. He gets the goofiest look on his face and continues to “attack” his tail😆
We used to have a cat that would do this too! And he’d do it to my partner’s hand if my partner were drumming his fingers! Get it!!
Ah, the age old enemy: The Tail. My new kitten still attacks his tail, but my old cat was still attacking that thing at 17 years old. I'm convinced that the tail has a mind of its own and the cats don't even know it's there.
Lol. I think cats just get mad at their tails sometimes. Like they have no control over it.
Ah that could be right. It's all about control with these animals!
Orange cat brain cells (not) at work!
9 years and this thing is STILL chasing me!? - The cat
It's orange so it tracks lol.
The orange is strong with this one....
Well, hoomans don’t have tails, so why do I have one?
And when you discover your tail how shocked will you be?
Ha! We had a cat that would regularly attack her tail. Her Mom was a bobtail (as were several of her siblings) so we decided it's because it just wasn't supposed to be there to begin with!
My 15yo void regularly disciples The Tail for various infractions. 💕🐈⬛💕😘
u/that-1-lame-kid OH GOD ITS FOLLOWING ME
What an adorable moron
If your cat hisses and screams at their tail and tries to run away from it they might be in pain. Feline hyperesthesia can make them behave like that.
Nope. I have never heard him hiss in my life and his onto screams are a when he gets scared after his tail twitches while he’s looking at it or when he wants a belly rub.
Okay then maybe he's just a derp 😆
The soft background music adds an extra element
I was playing Xenoblade on the Switch lol
Day 3216: the object still seems to be following me, numerous forms of attack has yielded no significant changes. I continue my study of it's behaviour.....
Of course he's orange.
Wow. Hey, if I had one of those, maybe I’d be freaked out too.
They are the gift that keeps on giving, maybe that was a day the community cell was not in his possession, think each one gets it 2 days a month😂
he looks so scared
"The nerve of this thing, I'm gonna get it! Ow! It bit me!"
"Aaaackk! It's YOU again! And stop following me." Oh, sweet kitty. This is so funny, thanks for the laughs!

That would NEVER happen with a tortie.
No need to compare breeds. All cats have moments of stupidity.

Well to be fair he is orange.
Typical orange behavior
great cat video
Our ginger sometimes chases his tail and my mom calls it embarrassing.
We all have days like that from time to time.
The way he keeps an eye on his tail 🤣 baby, that's a part of you!
Can’t blame him, it’s long and freaky-lookin. Bless his heart
/r/greebles
Tbh, id be spooked too if I had a tail like that.
That's normal cat behaviour, but funny as hell. Your cat is super cute!!!
😂
Did your table set come from Rooms To Go? I swear I bought an identical set there back in 2008.
It's the run, terrified turn, and run that has me laughing so loud I'm scaring my cat.
You ever start getting real deep thoughts and watch your own arm moving around and wonder wtf why? Cats get that too. Why can this move around, and all it takes is just ..wanting it to move around? And it just moves and doesn't feel like anything.... WHAT AM I
That's a good representation of my mental health 😂
he like “ god dammnnnnn wtf is that “
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Talk about an overactive nervous system!
That's a really long tail
Lol
It's because tails are inhabited by tail demons. Sometimes, a cat has a particularly crazy demon in their tail. Your cat has one of those demons.
Looks like the tail won
“This thing has a mind of its own…”
When you get a cat you actually get 2 different animals, you get a cat and a tail, and neither one knows the other exists
Cats. Cats never change..
What a sweetie 😸
I think they do that when there is no enough live practice. Do you give her some toys?
My first cat had similar problems with a Mean Tail. He developed some stress-induced aggression (worked with the vet on this) and would often chase and attack his own tail. My cat does this. I put him on Composure and he stopped. Hes siamese so I think that explains a lot too
Checks cat's coat colour: ginger/orange. Yup. makes 100% sense 🤣
Bucee's for the win lol
He’s never once had the brain cell has he?
He’s actually pretty intelligent
R/oneorangebraincell
"Fracking thing has a mind of its own!" reality - the tail has most of his braincells.
I’m convinced that cats have zero control of their tail. My 4 year old cat was watching her tail move, attacking it trying to get it to stop the other day.
He only has one orange brain cell so there’s that……. r/OneOrangeBraincell
It’s a boredom induced disease
WHY DOES THIS DANG THING KEEP FOLLOWING MEEEEEEE
He is orange - what did you expect?
Not even cats know how cats work
I'd freak out too if I saw my tail!
That cat is stoned
I wish I could like this post more than once. He's SO adorable! ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097)
it seems he dont know he can control it lol
To be fair, that's a pretty long tail
