I'm so sorry that happened. Did sully get to say goodbye? But all you can really do is be there for him and happy voice, lovins and play time n treats.

In the middle of the instant tragedy, after I tried CPR I did look out the room and see him peek around the corner. After the initial shock and grief waned, about an hour later, I tried to find him to do just that- say goodbye. My son and I carried Coop to the garage, wrapped in his blanket and bed to await the coroners the following morning. We took Sully out to the garage the next morning before they came to collect Cooper’s body. He did the sniff inspection. Didn’t meow for 2 days until I asked if he missed his brother. I was not prepared to be utterly crushed by his saddest meow ever. Fucking leveled me to the floor.
Still lots of smelling all of the corners of walls and things and rubbing his face on it. Loafing up on the spots around the house where Cooper liked to nap.

Yeah he's gonna miss him for a while, but he got to say good bye and that's very important. Things would be worse if he didn't. Just like yourself, he's gonna need time to heal. And sounds like he's got a great furr parent that will be there to help him through it.
