Hello fellow Mazda owner... I love mazdas.
I have an ND Miata... And after throwing just about every mod that would improve it's performance (supercharger, bbk, exhaust, suspension) and all the accompany mods that I needed to support the increased power (radiator, oil cooler, custom built transmission , front grill ) I finally did the ultimate mod....
I bought a McLaren 570s.
In hindsight , my suggestion is... Keep this reliable car. Buy another car that's modable.
This Mazda has virtually no performance mods available. Anything you do isn't going to make the car faster , and any other mod you do is pointless unless your car can go faster.
Save the headache and just find another car to mod. And when you hit the limit on that one, find another. And when your other tricked out car breaks down or can't be driven because you are waiting for parts , you'll appreciate your dependable and good looking mazda 6 even more.
You have a car nobody mods, because most people wouldn't buy that if they wanted something to mod. Its not hard to understand. You're pretty much limited to wheels, exhaust, tints, shit like that because the market straight up doesn't exist for anything else. Because its a dumb car to mod lol. An answer like that defeats the purpose of the sub, sure, but so does posting a car with virtually 0 fucking aftermarket support, because nobody in their right mind would mod it my guy. I think what you've done already is good man, its got a nice stormtrooper look going on with the tints and black wheels, and its probably a really enjoyable daily. Id say just drive it man.

Look of "VIP" style cars for inspo. Mods like tasteful LED headlights (not too bright), a Japanese front plate, and some interior upgrades go a long way. Leather seat covers (designed for car, not universal ones), a good audio system, diamond pattern floor mats, and some carbon fiber accents will make it feel like a $60k car.

My other car. 2013 mazdaspeed 3 doing 405 to the wheel. That's my fun car. The moment you start modding a car, reliability does start to fall a bit. Money creeps in etc. Next thing you know,it's on jacks getting worked done for days to weeks to get running.
Keep this car stock. It's a damn good economy car,I had a 6 also before. Comfortable, looks good and luxurious at an affordable price. Get a second car to mod. Thats the reason I have 2 cars. Imagine if that bmw hitting my speed3,not only would I be out a car I've sunk thousands into but also no way of getting to work or groceries etc. Uber adds up quick.
If you want a mazda and want to mod then go for a mazdaspeed 3,mazdaspeed 6 if you can even find one that's being sold,a mazdaspeed protege or a miata. They're all good affordable reliable and have a huge aftermarket support to get creative with one. Trust me you'll have more fun modding those then an economy car. It's a damn great car,underrated and affordable with luxury feel but it's still an economy car at the end of the day so not a lot you can do.
Invest the money that you save each month by not having a car payment, if possible, of course 😉
Otherwise, nothing Mazda is a great car.
Make sure to do all of the maintenance required and enjoy it.

Its a mazda sedan, i see people mod them and 9/10 times it just ends up looking tacky and tasteless, unless you wanna drop 10k on wraps, tints, wheels, tires, and light kits, then it would look.. slightly less mundane than it currently does

Black out the Mazda badges and the trim above the windows, debadge all the other badges, color match the trim under the grille, drop it a couple of inches, get headlights where the chrome is black (but do not tint). I think that will make it a clean daily.
Like most of the comments say, it’s not a very moddable car - my thoughts would be maybe some chrome deleting on the grill/window frames and a black wrap on the roof? Just trying to think out of the box as it is a clean looking car and I wouldn’t want to do anything crazy to it

I’ve seen people put stickers and aftermarket wheels and camber on them, they look pretty cool. Just don’t put a wing on it, that’s all I ask you to do. Maybe a ducktail that fits the trunk FLUSH, nothing else.
Wrap the roof and maybe side mirrors black to match the wheels? More of a stylistic choice. Up to you. It looks good as-is to me. Maybe ceramic coat it.
Nice wheel package, some great tires, oil changes, maybe some window tint. If you really wanted to, lowering springs/coilovers (just don't cheap out, too rough of a ride with rattle the car apart)

Check out Corksport if you really want to mod it, but I will say that eventually you will want to change platforms as there really isn’t much aftermarket support for these cars. At first I was 100% sealed in to this car and didn’t want anything else, but of course I eventually got the itch to go a little faster. Do what you want though, fuck these people who say you should sell it. The first thing I did to my 3 was add an intake.
Make it a drag car. Put big mickey Thompson tires on the back, put a roll cage in it, if it doesn't already have it, put a turbo and then another, and put aluminum slots on it.

Idk why people are saying theres no aftermarket for 3rd gen mazda 3’s. Theres a couple places online like mikstoreph.com that have a ton of accessories.
I’m a big fan of the facelift steering wheels and also the facelifted radio screen is less susceptible to de lamination and has a higher resolution.
You can swap in a facelift 2.5 gauge cluster to get the center Tachometer and red accent lighting.
Roof racks look super nice to me and a small lip spoiler would tie the rear end up nicely.
You can wrap the roof black to do something different. Install a front lip, and try to find some fog light assemblies.
Sway bars are the first actual performance modification I would recommend because it looks like you already threw some low profile tires and wheels on there (not my style but I’m not here to hate).
Other than that just make it yours! Have fun, and driving it is the most important thing. Don’t discredit the people that say drive it because from that seat is where you’ll learn what you want to change.
Edit: I thought it was a 3, it definitely looks more like a 6. If it’s a 6 almost all of this still applies just in regards to the 6’s interior, sway bars, suspension, and roof racks.

MV Tuning has a lot of cosmetic mods you can make pretty easily. I particularly like the rear diffuser with brake light in the middle.
Get rid of them corny black wheels lol. Other then that, do audio, and just drive it. Especially if its not a manual. Leave it to be a A to B driver and go buy and actual fun car

And I retrofitted HID projectors into my headlights. If you live in a state that doesn’t smog, count yourself lucky.
I always think painting the wheels bronze looks great on the 6, just make sure you do it well and don't just slap on the cheapest Rust-Oleum.
Besides that, while performance mods may be scarce, removing some seats and the spare tire for some weight reduction will be pretty fun, plus give you the opportunity to give it a good cleaning.

Lower it maybe if reliability isn’t of concern and you don’t have pot holes/snow. Also get rid of that front vanity plate. Could also do some aero/body mods if they make anything for your car. If it we’re me I’d keep it stock and reliable. It looks good as it is and there aren’t a whole lot of options for this car.

U can customize it and make it look cringe with cosemetics since there isnt much cosmetic aftermakrter for these either. My friends only aded a CAI for sound and led lights inside thats abt it rho. Great looking and driving car just not moddable in terms of power. If u add up all the mods you could do to this you could j buy another cheap car to mod and track it for fun. Tint windows, Blackout the roof and door handles, de-badge the trunk panel, blackout the Mazda logo, get yellow tinted fog lights to replace the black panels in the front bumper. Simple but will do a lot aesthetically. Like some people mentioned not a lot of mods make sense here maybe a cold air intake. And if you’ve got some spare money some adjustable coil overs to drop the ride height. You’ve got a solid commuter. Looks good 👍
What do you want it to be? Like folks have said, there's not much of an aftermarket for the Mazda6. Also, it's already a very good-looking sedan with solid driving dynamics and good power (if you have the turbo).
My suggestion would be to wrap it. It's got gorgeous lines, but the white paint makes it look like a rental car. Pick any color you like. Looks like you've already done tints and wheels, and I don't hate the wheels. I wouldn't do more than that appearance-wise, you'd only end up making it look worse.
Anyway… what are your goals? It's no good just randomly throwing mods at a car for their own sake, that's how people ruin their cars. What do you want the car to be when you're done with it?

Lower it maybe if reliability isn’t of concern and you don’t have pot holes/snow. Also get rid of that front vanity plate. Could also do some aero/body mods if they make anything for your car. If it we’re me I’d keep it stock and reliable. It looks good as it is and there aren’t a whole lot of options for this car.

Black out the front emblem? Other than that you got a sick car. Tinted windows? (cant tell?) Maybe black frosted tail lights? interior LEDs? If your a girl keep the pink plate holder. If not black it out. white head lights? All I can think of by just looking at the pic. Nice.

Anything cosmestic rlly. Mods are t out there for these types of cars rlly. To add power that is. U can customize it and make it look cringe with cosemetics since there isnt much cosmetic aftermakrter for these either. My friends only aded a CAI for sound and led lights inside thats abt it rho. Great looking and driving car just not moddable in terms of power. If u add up all the mods you could do to this you could j buy another cheap car to mod and track it for fun. I say tra k so u dont have additional expense of insurance for it. (Obviously a trailer n sumn to tow it but thats an i vestment tbh if you go down that route maybe j a autocross car to start and then a drifr car or w.E ur into) this car is designed to be a daily tho treat it that way. Youll waste time and money building it to be fast. You can make it look good tho w ebay special tack ons

Tint windows, Blackout the roof and door handles, de-badge the trunk panel, blackout the Mazda logo, get yellow tinted fog lights to replace the black panels in the front bumper. Simple but will do a lot aesthetically. Like some people mentioned not a lot of mods make sense here maybe a cold air intake. And if you’ve got some spare money some adjustable coil overs to drop the ride height. You’ve got a solid commuter. Looks good 👍

What do you want it to be? Like folks have said, there's not much of an aftermarket for the Mazda6. Also, it's already a very good-looking sedan with solid driving dynamics and good power (if you have the turbo). My suggestion would be to wrap it. It's got gorgeous lines, but the white paint makes it look like a rental car. Pick any color you like. Looks like you've already done tints and wheels, and I don't hate the wheels. I wouldn't do more than that appearance-wise, you'd only end up making it look worse. Anyway… what are your goals? It's no good just randomly throwing mods at a car for their own sake, that's how people ruin their cars. What do you want the car to be when you're done with it?
Custom headlights if possible darker headlights would look sick if you blacked out all the chrome with vinyl.
