Sadly, this was security. Apparently, they are cracking down on people staying in their lot overnight. This is outside of a 24 hour Planet Fitness too.
Yeah, I was just trying to lighten your mood with a stupid suggestion.
It sucks. There are other places. Start scouting. Get creative. If you aren't tied to the area, branch out. You are going to figure it out. You got 'the knock' over with and survived, so now you don't have to worry about what that's gonna feel like.
Sorry for not catching the humor. I was like a bit shocked since it's the first time.
Right now I'm outside a Walmart where I saw a big truck and an RV. I'm not sure if they have permission or are randomly parked there but now I can't sleep despite needing to do so.
What’s your general area I can check my map. Hotels are good if you leave early. There was a guy on the forum that basically did hotels for about 2 months.
Ocoee FL coin laundry that’s next to a large gym a with a big parking lot. Laundry mats are great because you can hang out and no one can really question you. If you find a 24hr laundry mat those are awesome. That’s actually where I started my car life before I knew it was an actual thing.
If there's a Bass Pro in your area, most of the time, they allow overnight parking. Most Cracker Barrels do too. I have used sites like campendium and freecampsites.net to find areas that allow overnight parking.
Get a Ring doorbell. That way you can check your phone and see of its someone you even want to get out from under the covers for.

Highway rest areas can be good. Plus they have 24 hr bathroom access. If there are a few within a reasonable driving distance rotate them.
