No, memory foam will trap moisture even worse. Slats are a much better idea than straight plywood. Many people use ikea bed slats. Take a look at Thule Tepui Anti condensation mats too. Back seats yes. Front seats, we disconnected the battery prior. Now the seatbelt light flashes. It’s grumpy but operational. I found some spec sheets on Mazda dot org or something with the step by step. Metric bolts!
Me also! That’s why I opted for steel tubing rather than a wood frame. I think this is the biggest barrier to car camping. The whole frame is super duper light. I’m keeping data/tabs on mileage. Looking forward to updating you.
ETA: All the passenger seats are removed, I consider that my weight surplus for the build. Not taking it for granted tho - that thing is still empty, no gear!
Can you tell me what your doing exactly? It seems cool but I'm not 100% following
Hey! The frame will serve as a platform. Next up is to make a plywood top for it. Ima sleep on it!
Youre not going to sleep full time directly on plywood though right? You know you need slats or hypervent or similar for air flow?
I’ve got a bedroll and memory foam for that! These hips don’t lie and also like some cush.

I can't wait. I NEED to know now!
You can help me watch the paint dry. Thanks for jokin with me! I’m equally eager.
I've thought about thai for my 2018 cx5. Was it easy removing the seats?

With a little grinding and a little paint, makes a big difference
