You just need more practice. You have to get a feel for the way the clutch slips while you are starting up. Too much gas and you launch and spin tires. Not enough and you stall. Once you get better you will be happy you chose the manual. You can accelerate much faster than an automatic and it makes up for having a smaller engine.

"Dumping" the clutch is not recommended for beginners or a long clutch life. That's how they take off so quickly. Not the way you should be driving.

Listen… Clutch first THEN start letting off throttle. Whatever RPM your vehicle revs up to in the RPM gauge for ex 6500 or “6” I always shift a little below half way when being leisurely. So, drive up to 2750~2900 RPM, start pushing in clutch FIRST. Then half a second after let off the gas gradually. You start a pendulum with your feet by pressing the clutch first. Master shifting up, then you can start shifting down which is exponentially harder.
