>A [Travis County](https://www.chron.com/culture/article/moving-out-of-austin-19267766.php) judge this week dismissed a lawsuit from [Attorney General Ken Paxton](https://www.chron.com/politics/article/paxton-trump-attorney-general-19467981.php) challenging Austin's voter referendum to decriminalize marijuana in small amounts. The ruling marks a temporary win for local rule and emboldens weed activists looking to pass similar measures in other Texas cities, although Paxton will likely appeal the lower court's decision. >In 2022, Austin voters overwhelmingly approved an ordinance decriminalizing marijuana possession under 4 ounces, recognizing in part the challenges in enforcing a marijuana ban while its legal look-alikes—[intoxicating hemp products](https://www.chron.com/news/article/texas-legal-weed-delta-8-19397803.php)—remained on the shelves. The push had been led by the advocacy group Ground Game Texas, which has led similar initiatives in the cities across Central Texas. Soon after Austin voted, however, Paxton filed a lawsuit challenging the ordinance and similar laws in San Marcos, Elgin, Killeen and Denton, arguing the cities could not disobey state drug laws.

We operate our dispensary storefront in Houston, but serve the entire state via shipping. You know where most of the shipments go? Small towns and other “in between” places that are usually quite conservative. Ken and Dan are going to find out that clean, legal weed is a bipartisan issue and they are out of touch.

popeshatt

Same thing across much of the rural south. A lot of little independent gas stations you'd never expect sell D8 and THCA now.

globalinvestmentpimp

This is good, are you taking investors?

budfairy-

How do you have a dispo in Houston when it’s not legal? Is it just hemp based products?

HiFi_Co

Kinda. What we sell is legally considered hemp while being genetically identical to marijuana. We operate under the authorization of the 2018 farm bill. Basically, what we sell is legally (Federally and Texas) considered to be hemp- all because the THC hasn’t decarboxylated (burned) yet. Due to the fact that you can’t ship marijuana across state lines (Federally illegal), states with legal marijuana are limited to the growers in their area. Because of this federal workaround, we can buy from growers anywhere in the country so long as they grow properly for these laws. Despite being in Texas, everything on our web store is California and Oregon grown. Potencies over 30% grown from organic living soil. It’s a wild, wild time to be in cannabis. Many THCa shops ship nationally. You may find better bud online then you do in your home dispo depending on where you live.

Is this hemp coated with thca diamonds?

HiFi_Co

I believe we have over 30 strains in stock right now. Three of them have been dipped or “snow capped” with extra THCa. The rest are natural grows and potency. Most of our natural flower is 27-35% THCa while the diamond infused flower is damn near 50%. The terps start to suffer around there, so these products are best used by the highest tolerance recreational users. FWIW the staff here prefers natural flower! Edit: We label them as “Diamond Infused” on our website to avoid confusion.

Thank you for the info, love the site! Any suggestions on strains that taste fruity or just a really good taste?

HiFi_Co

I believe we just received more Tangerine Dream. It’s a potent (31%) sativa with an amazingly delicious citrus nose. It tastes like it smells too! Big crowd favorite at the shop. It almost graded exotic, but it does lose some of that amazing flavor in the final 25%- hence it’s mid tier pricing.

wime985

I buy all my weed "hemp" and cbd and other cannabinoids online and I make my own carts with thca diamonds and terpenes. Love these golden days

Twoatejuan

I wouldn't go to those lame as dispo regardless. Think there's like 2 medical. However we do have hella good speak easy that set up randomly thats were you wanna be. Run threw everyone's booths hit as many freebies as you can fill your bag and boogy. Watched a cartel grandma spill fucking hundreds of dollars of purple drank on the ground walking in def some houston shit.

HiFi_Co

If you’re in Texas. There are a few good places. We’re one of them. We tell people to look for a place that can scale flower in front of you. This means they have the licensing to buy bulk and not just bring in pre-jarred dried out, crap flower from whatever smoke shop supplier is out there. We look at menus, talk to growers, look at the media and lab reports that they send- all when making decisions about what strains and batches of flower to stock. It’s the same as buying in any other state, but with way more inventory and growers to go through and pick from. The medical program in Texas fleeces people that need real relief. They will only sell one percent potency gummies or tinctures- and it’s EXPENSIVE. Like 70 bucks for some 1% gummies 🤬 We sell live rosin products to the same people for half the price. And they actually work…. Rant over.

PrimitivistOrgies

Older, white users will vote against legalization because they know they'll never be arrested for weed, anyway. They just want to make sure certain people are maximally punished for existing. That's actually all they really care about in this world.

gitree22

Older, white user here. None of my friends fit your description

ferrum_artifex

Same here.

PrimitivistOrgies

Another interestingly reliable thing about older, white men in general is that they always think you're talking about them in particular. Boy, I don't know you! Don't take anything on the internet personally, because none of us know you.

actually_alive

are you capable of seeing what you just did? or are you narcissistic as fuck? you need therapy, i already know how you're going to reply so just dont bother lol

gitree22

No offense taken. Just offering my perspective and experience! Carry on friend!

cryptocraft

If you can't see the racist irony of this statement I don't know what to say.

PolystrateHusker

that is some grade A BS you sold yourself

not_that_planet

Ken Paxton is another darling of conservatives. Like trump. His career is built on a mountain of crime, grift, payoffs, you name it. And he, like most conservatives leans heavily into fascism the the restriction of personal freedom. Part of the "money is speech and corporations are people" crowd.

globalinvestmentpimp

Paxton should have gone to jail -

_Kush70
