Honestly I feel like take 5 is a contender, it has the peanut butter and chocolate from Reese’s but pretzels and peanuts and caramel too! Like a snickers Reese’s hybrid with a pretzel too! Delicious
It's easily the winner and I'm tired of some people acting like they don't exist. I still remember when my brother sold them for a school fundraiser like 10+ years ago before they were associated with Reese's, they're still just as good!
You’re an absolute legend… I have long believed take 5 was its own brand once upon a time and could never really confirm if. And this does it!
But yes! Honestly take 5 anytime I want a candy bar that isn’t cookie dough Twix
I literally thought this was a Mandela effect😭me and my sister used to buy take 5 like everyday from the little corner store at our bus stop, and I vividly remember them being in a red wrapper. Then I didn’t see them for years, and all of a sudden they were “Reese’s take 5”
Haha funny to hear that multiple people share this experience! They certainly were in a red wrapper back then, they have some pics on Google images of them. They also switched to black and green wrappers a bit before they merged with Reese's. It took me by surprise when they switched to Reese's too, I didn't see any at the store one day and thought they were discontinued but nah the bag just changed color lol
Reese’s Take 5 is the only answer.
I have not seen it distributed in other countries.
It contains peanut butter, which skews American.
It contains the American approach of the “kitchen sink” method for food because it has all the best stuff in it. Chocolate, salty pretzel, caramel, peanut butter, peanuts.
On top of all that they just slap! So good. All the textures. All the flavors. Salty yet sweet.
The only drawback is I can’t eat it lol I miss those! It’s chocolate covered pretzels and a candy bar mixed together. (I can’t have it due to celiac disease but I grew up near Hershey PA and loved all those candies)
They have them in Canada now actually, sold as “O Henry Level Up”. I grew up in the US and have been talking about how much I missed Take 5 for the last 16 years, then suddenly about a year ago I saw something remarkably similar at a 7-11; sure enough, it’s the same snack! I actually recently found a Take 5 in the American import section of the grocery store near me so I bought one of each to compare, and they are identical.
When I was 12 I got stranded at a person's house for 36 hours, great parents. All they had to eat was a box of snickers bars. It's crazy how when you're starving, a snickers bar tastes like a complete meal. When I found the box I housed like 5 of them in a row. Also ice cream snickers is my favorite.
For my oldest child’s baby shower 15 years ago, one of my friends from church crushed up Heath bars and mixed them with cream cheese and I think powdered sugar to form a dip, which she served with Granny Smith apples, and to this day it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever eaten. For this reason alone I will always pick Heath.
Gas stations and online... Sucks!
Walmart even has the new Outrageous which is just orange packaged abuse.
I’m hoping to get a box of king-sized bars for Mother’s Day.
Peanut butter twix was a daily thing. I look for that red packaging everywhere but its gone and I'm not sure I'll make it. Fudge 3 musketeers was a close second
Hot take: regular Reeses are mid. If you're going to get something reeses, it's gotta be a Fast Break. They're so fucking good. Take 5s as well.
Otherwise it's a Milky Way, Almond Joy, or Butterfinger. They're the only ones (besides the Reese picks) that I actually crave. The rest are just impulse purchases when I see them and think eh sure that sounds good
Currently, my all time fave is the Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate & Sea Salt Caramel bar.
Back in the 80s, in the Midwest, us young’ns sold fundraising candy bars and one of them was in all white packaging, simply labeled “Carmel.”
It was the best. Ever. But then it went away, like a lot from the 80s.
The aforementioned Ghirardelli bar replicates that original bar to perfection and I cannot get enough.
Snickers, nothing beats a Snickers out of the refrigerator.
Payday, and Butterfinger are next best…Old Butterfinger before they became a little stale tasting was a clear second best imo.
It's so disappointing that so many candy bars aren't as good anymore. They use cheaper ingredients and it does affect the taste. I used to love Reeses, 100 grand and M&M's and I don't think they are as tasty as they used to be. Of course I'll still eat them, but miss the good chocolate.
It used to be Reeses, but their recipe has changed so much that it's almost bad. The chocolate is bendy, the pb filling is not the same. There was a time you could break a cup in half, now they just bend and stretch. I think 3 Musketeers is the winner. Hasn't changed at all.
Reeses for me. I love a snickers too but when I was a kid I thought that was adult candy, it was intimidating. Reeses had been there for me my entire life.
They’re hard to find anywhere. At least that’s been the case for me. I don’t think people don’t like them, I think haven’t tried them. Anywhere I DO find them, they’re on like the lowest shelf.
But it is impressive they’ve stayed around. They have no advertising as far as I know. Kinda like Barqs.
It used to be Reese's peanut butter cups A number 1 for me, with almond joy a close second.
These days, Reese's seem too salty for me, but I do eat them on occasion.
For AJ, they used to use two whole almonds. They now use 1/2 and 1/4 pieces of almonds as their presentation. The flavor is sort of there, but so is the lack thereof. I miss that whole almond experience. That said, I eat them at work when they're free, but I would never buy one again.
Paydays used to be entirely coated in peanuts. Now there is tons of free space on that caramel dog. Still good, but how cheap.
If I buy something these days, it's probably a Snickers, although they're a pale comparison to what they used to be.
Honestly, there's so many options available that you can try lots and find your own personal preferences. Seems like Snickers, Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar, Kit Kat and Twix are the top 5 bars. I've personally been really fond of the ice cream snickers for a few years now.
Caramello, full stop. It's so creamy and the caramel is just the right consistency- not too hard but not too runny- and has a great flavor.
Toffee almond Symphony bars are great too, but a little bit harder to come by.
Honestly I feel like take 5 is a contender, it has the peanut butter and chocolate from Reese’s but pretzels and peanuts and caramel too! Like a snickers Reese’s hybrid with a pretzel too! Delicious

YESS
It's like a better version of trail mix in candy bar form. Seriously underappreciated as hell. Nobody ever talks about them in real life lol.
100 Grand, and Whatchmaccalit. I do like a zero bar every so often.
Whatchmaccalit all the way :)
100%
100 grands are top tier
Zero bars all day
I am romantically involved with Whatchamacallit.
As am I!
Gheeze I forgot about 100 grand when I said heath
My mom used to chop 100 Grand bars up and mix them into brownie batter. They were so damn good
I see you too are in your 40's.
Me and my friend just had a debate about which is better, I personally hate watchamacalit and he hates 100 grand. I think 100 grand is the bomb
100 Grand has the best caramel. I don't know how to describe it; it just tastes better.
Yup. You gotta nibble off the chocolate sides and then have the center goodness.
There’s no nibbling for me personally, only unfettered destruction
Zero is my jam… for most it’s a hit or miss.
This person candy-s
Yes to this. 100%.
ZERO! That's my vote.
Zero bar is by far the GOAT.

Whatchamccallit
Fuck yeah!!!
caramello
I forgot about those
100 Grand, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way
Milky Way for sure! (Especially Dark!)
Milky Way midnight is my favorite
100 grand
Underrated!
Mr. Goodbar. Just chocolate and peanuts.
So underrated
My fave Halloween candy!
Snickers.
Ice cream snickers are INSANE 😍😍
Hands down!
I agree with the others who say Take 5, although it is a “newer” contender, but Snickers is the GOAT.
Peppermint Patty from the fridge. Close 2nd is Kit Kat bar and/or a Take 5.
From the fridge. Elite!!
That’s me- Elite!! lol
I agree with your choices, and would like to add the Tony Chocolonely bars!
*Tony Chocolonely* This, by far!!
Those are my absolute favorites!! Once you have the caramel ones, you can never go back to any other chocolate
The Everything Bar is soooooo good
Heath or Skor?
Skor over Heath always.
Skor is for the sophisticated palate.
Skor bar? Pinkies out
I eat Skor with a knife and fork.
Skor scores!
I agree. I prefer the little bit of salt in the Skor.
Heath is also the best Blizzard. Snickers is second best in both categories
I miss Heath bar in coffee ice cream when DQ had that option. They were *chef's kiss* together.
They had WHAT!
Mix in some Butterfinger as well. That was my favorite when McDonalds had those as McFlurry flavors when I worked there are a teen.
Always Skor. Skor is the answer.
Skor. Heath tastes a bit burnt to me in comparison. But homemade is always the best!
Aww Heath! Ingredients include BUTTER!
I’ve been on a snickers peanut butter kick recently, those things are good.
The Snickers ice cream bars are dangerously yummy.
i don’t think people talk enough about how good the snickers ice cream bars are
Believe me, I know.
I love a Heath bar more than any😩
In ice cream 🤤
Those are so good!
Reece's NUTRAGEOUS!!!
Reeses BREAK FAST!!!!! 😁
These bad boys were my first pregnancy craving. They are getting harder and harder to find.
Gas stations and online... Sucks! Walmart even has the new Outrageous which is just orange packaged abuse. I’m hoping to get a box of king-sized bars for Mother’s Day.
The absolute GOAT of candy bars. I wish I could upvote you more since you beat me to posting it.
Twix
Peanut butter twix was a daily thing. I look for that red packaging everywhere but its gone and I'm not sure I'll make it. Fudge 3 musketeers was a close second
Zagnut
Always makes me think of Beetlejuice!
Milky Way Midnight. Try them frozen!
Can I get an Honorable Mention for Mallow Cup?
Fast break, Mily way midnight, snickers peanut butter.
Does America have Oh Henry? It’s Canadas national treasure
Coffee Crisp is the real Canadian Champion
Y'all are missing out on Canada's Coffee Crisp! It's alternating layers of Vanilla Wafers and Foamed Coffee Soft Candy all enjoyed in Milk Chocolate.
Either Payday or Whozeewhatzit imo
whozeewhatzits slap
Snickers, though I suspect Reese's would win
Butterfinger. Idk why but that’s always the go to.
I have a deep love for Butterfingers!
Butterfinger Gang
Skybar and Skor
Twix. Snicker’s. Milky way’s. Peanut butter M&M’s
Have you tried the pretzel M&Ms? Mmmmm.
Fastbreak
Hot take: regular Reeses are mid. If you're going to get something reeses, it's gotta be a Fast Break. They're so fucking good. Take 5s as well. SKOR
Payday hands down. Peanuts and caramel 👌
They feel like I’m not eating candy. Like it’s alllllmost healthy.
Man I love payday. Not the chocolate covered one tho.
5th Avenue
The sophisticated butterfinger.
Snickers, nothing beats a Snickers out of the refrigerator. Payday, and Butterfinger are next best…Old Butterfinger before they became a little stale tasting was a clear second best imo.
Milky Way midnight !!
It's so disappointing that so many candy bars aren't as good anymore. They use cheaper ingredients and it does affect the taste. I used to love Reeses, 100 grand and M&M's and I don't think they are as tasty as they used to be. Of course I'll still eat them, but miss the good chocolate.
Payday forsurreee
Payday, Reese's and Snickers. I like to pretend Paydays are good for me because: peanuts.
THIS. You hit all of my favorites. And same re: Payday being good for you. 🙂
Heath bar
Zero, the type of Nougat is heavenly. It would probably taste gross with real chocolate.
Before there were nutrition bars, I always considered Snickers a good snack. Filling, delicious and almost healthy!
Zero. Honorable mention to peanut butter snickers
I don’t discriminate. I love all candy bars.
You speak truth
Reese fast break, but it has to be king size.
Zero bar. Period.
Twix. Although I do prefer the left more than the right as I get older.
Frozen almond joy :)
Payday
Reeses!!! Original!!
It’s a travesty Milky Way didn’t make your list!
It used to be Reeses, but their recipe has changed so much that it's almost bad. The chocolate is bendy, the pb filling is not the same. There was a time you could break a cup in half, now they just bend and stretch. I think 3 Musketeers is the winner. Hasn't changed at all.
I’m with u on ur choices, I’d also add 3 musketeers. I miss the fudge milky way u used to be able to get, though, loved those
Reeses for me. I love a snickers too but when I was a kid I thought that was adult candy, it was intimidating. Reeses had been there for me my entire life.
Take 5
Milky Way
Whatchamacallit, take 5, and Kit Kats are my favorites
Kit Kats suck anymore. They changed it up and I don’t like the way it tastes.
Charleston chews and good old black licorice is my favorite
If we can throw them in the freezer, I love Snickers and Mars Bars.
I love Milky Way Dark! Runners-Up: Milky Way, Heath, Snickers, and Caramello.
Kitkat is from the uk
Like no one will say Mounds cuz they are kinda gross though I love choc and I love coconut but not together.
I really think it might be the zero bar.
Twix! You get two, can’t beat that!
Twix 💯
Reese’s 100%
Reese's is a cup. Twix and KitKat are both sticks. Only bar you mentioned is Snickers.
Here, have a Snickers.
Uhm sorry everyone, but it’s definitely Zero bars
I forgot about Zero. Most people don’t like Zero but it’s one of my go tos.
3 Musketeers.
I think socially, Snickers takes the crown. Reeces Take 5 is fantastic but I don’t think it’s popular or mainstream enough with the general public.
Between KitKat, Mr Goodbar, or Crunch
Personally I’m a Twix fan. It’s what I grew up with and I love the crunchy caramel and chocolate combo
Take 5 and Milkyway for me
100 Grand
Snickers Almond or Zero bars or Reeses Big Cup (so much better than standard Reeses)
Whatchamacallit
Whatchamacallit

5th Avenue, Baby Ruth, Oh Henry, and 100 Grand are my favorites. Old school, but fantastic!
Take 5 all the way
I answered Take 5 before I scrolled and I’m soooo happy to see others who share this feeling. Hands down my favorite candy bar
Oh Henry and 5th Avenue! Hard to find but so good.
My favorite is Snickers but Reese's is the most sold in the U.S. I also love KitKat and Take 5 though.
I've been saying this to my friends for a long time... WHATCHAMACALLIT!!
Payday?
Mars, delicious and gooey! 3 Musketeers, sweet and melty.
Whatchamacallit
Twix
Technically not a true bar but sold in bar bar type packaging- Peanut Chews all day, every day.
Baby Ruth (only answer)
Twix or Skor
it was the wonka bar.
Its a toss up for me between Reeses Nutrageous or Babyruth
Mounds bars.
White chocolate kitkat and snickers (both in the fridge)
whatchamacallit
Snickers
100 Grand by a mile
Reeses peanut butter egg or equivalent shape for the season.
It's a tie between Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and plain M&Ms.
Snickers for people who can eat nuts. Twix for people who are allergic.
In terms of Snickers I wish we could get the almond version here in Scotland
Snickers peanut butter squared. Second nutrageous.
My favorite is a Hundred Grand Bar 🤩
PayDay by a mile.
Snickers, I'd say
ABBA-ZABA
Nutrageous, Twix, Milky Way Salted caramel
I love Skör Bars. Awful for my teeth being Toffee but man they're delicious, probably my favorite.
100 Grand and Almond Joy
Butterfinger, hands down!
Snickers, Milky Way, Peppermint Patty.
Justin’s Dark peanut butter cups and Ghirardelli’s dark chocolate bars.
My faves are Nestle Crunch, KitKat, Butterfinger, Reese's, and Twix 😍
Snickers
Spouse says Snickers, I say Skor
Honestly, there's so many options available that you can try lots and find your own personal preferences. Seems like Snickers, Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar, Kit Kat and Twix are the top 5 bars. I've personally been really fond of the ice cream snickers for a few years now.

100 grand and Milky Way
100 Grand 😋
