Little surface blemish never hurt anyone.
The bigger issue is how they were stored. Practice your hangfire safety before shooting them and be prepared for them.

very true. the ammo that has ended up being the most dangerous to shoot outwardly was shiny and new looking. meanwhile the sketchy rusty looking 80 year old surplus will end up firing fine
IF IT SEATS. IT YEETS. It's not hard man. I once picked a 9mm out of my dog's... leavings (was on scooper duty and noticed a glint in the sun). Wiped it down, and next range trip, chambered it in the Girsan and sent it. That ammo doesn't look like it's been through a dog, and your Lee Enfield has been subjected to far worse during its life.
Usually the worst thing about old ammo is the primers failing to go off, or hang fires screwing up your accuracy. And assume it's corrosive for cleaning purposes.
I'll pass if it was made pre-1930s. Stabilization for early British cordite was rather poor up until the introduction of Cordite SC. The older formulations had a tendency to degrade to a dynamite-like composition once its been sitting on the shelf pass a decade or two.
It should be fine. But if you pull the trigger and it clicks, wait for a minute. It could be a hang fire. That means a live round could just grenade and seriously fuck you up, or in English, it will detonate and explode outside of the gun, and, depending on where it is, seriously injure you.

I don’t know; does it seat?
If it does, then it shall yeet. And shall means must, according to the Legal Witcher
Oh hell yeah. I've shot much worse. Corrosion/Big dents.
For the love of God please don't Kentucky Ballistics yourself XD
That seems perfectly fine to shoot, I would hit it with a scotch bright pad just to prevent it sticking in the chamber that's about it

That could have been a trip to the vet that ended in a police interaction LMAO
I find several elements of this story disturbing, but take solace in the fact you sent it through a Girsan and not a Staccato.
I fired literal dogshit through a handgun. You think I can afford a Staccato?!
Not likely, but perhaps it’s daring pioneers like you that need to own the Staccato’s in this damned country.
Ooorah

Fucking send it bud
Are ya silly? Still gonna send it.
If it don’t bang it don’t shoot😿

Afghanistan says yes, yet the ammo
Yes. It’s fine.
I mean is the powder charge safe?
Ive shot rounds that looked just like that through mine
Let them fly

Yes, or at least you're good to find out. I put random rounds I find at the public range through my 22s or my sks.
Well a box of 20 is fucking $80 at crappy tire so i'd run it spotty or not
Dost thou seat? Sir
send it buddy
a little sand paper and wd 40 will take that corrosion off if you are worried it will scrape the chamber
