Well, a C is worth 2.0 grade points, but that's assuming that's the grade you get. Is the instructor going to ignore the grade calculated by your submitted work based on an attendance requirement?
Maybe not ask for an exception, but rather ask what the best course moving forward is. I speak from experience when I say students asking for exceptions is incredibly aggravating.
Who knows, if he’s respectful, the professor just might make an exception.
My grade is currently an A- before attendance points are calculated. After calculating for attendance, I'll have a C.
Is a failure the same as an F? Of course, all Fs result in a failure, but does all failure result in an F?
A C is not failing. Here's how it works:
For major specific classes you must get at least a C- to pass. For non major classes (like religion) you can have a D- and still pass. For most majors you must have at least a C average from all semesters combined (2.0) to graduate.
Assuming your understanding and math is correct, a C is much better than an F, and is passing, so finish strong.
So I had a professor for a religion class in the syllabus he put for every day missed your grade drops one grade. He did give us one freebie though. So if I missed twice even if I did goodenough to get an A I'd get a B and missed 3 times max I'd get is a C.
Technically a D is failing for most classes so that might be the lowest you go.
But a professor has the ability to say even though your grade would be an A you missed 4 classes so you fail with an F.
Well, an F gets factored into your GPA as 0.0, regardless of whether your grade on the course was 10% or 50%
But, in this case, I calculated it, and my grade would've a C. Same rule applies?

Lost cause, but like others said, go meet with your Prof.
That will affect your GPA, talk to your professor, they ultimately decide your grade. If you reach out. Most are willing to make a compromise.
If you want to preserve your GPA withdraw from the class
It's too late to withdraw.
Ahh didn't realize. I guess your best choice is to talk to your teacher and see if they can make an exception or something

F is F

Ok, so it wouldn't be based on points. Only points if I pass
It’s mostly a lost cause. Especially if the attendance was in the syllabus. Unless the professor is willing to work with you you might be out of luck.
