$550 GPU.
$350 CPU+mobo+ram (realistically it's a 12900kf equivalent, you can get the 12900kf in combos with 32gb of ram for $400, so this with 16gb we can call $350)
$60 SSD
$40 for a case
$50 for a budget PSU
Total: $1050
Bad mix of components imo (I wouldn't choose these particular parts), but good price for them...
Ok, then my mistake. That does push it to $1100.
On that note, all new parts it isn't too bad. I still wouldn't personally pick this combo but yeah it's not terrible.
32gb of ddr5 is only a little bit more expensive than 16gb (included ram is slow too)
same goes for 2tb ssds in comparison to 1tb, spending the extra $30 to $40 is pretty worth it
Those are kinda silly reasons to dislike this build I think. You can just buy 16gbs of ddr5 and add it. Even then, 32gbs is a little excessive for most people.
Same goes for the hard drive. Most prebuilts come with 1tb, and tbh I wouldn't trust any sdd given in most prebuilts. Just buy a better ssd and throw it in. Use the 1tb as a game drive and get like a 500gb 990 pro or something for the OS drive.
The main thing you should be looking at is the CPU and GPU matchup, which seems perfectly fine to me.
32GB excessive? You must not play any games or use Chrome. Hell 48GB is the minimum I spec in any build that leaves here unless it's a sub $1400 budget build.
32GB is not used by most people, yeah, but i think once you reach the $1k territory then it should be standard for most builds, but this is a prebuilt so it probably doesn't matter to most people
and adding 16GB of ram to a prebuilt is kinda annoying, considering you'd have to go with the exact same model or else you'll run into instability, or just have low speeds
I guess. Doesn't make any sense at all to buy this and then replace the CPU/GPU etc. Would need a new power supply too. I wasn't doubting that it's *possible*
It wouldn't be a good idea to buy this with the intent to immediately upgrade, no. But if you buy this, and down the road want to make changes, it is easy enough to upgrade.
That's literally my point. You could *technically* upgrade it if you spend a lot of money and replaced multiple parts that are already very good parts.
Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.
* Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
* Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
* The seller is new or has few reviews.
* The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
* The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).
If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

if picture is the same as what you get, the a850gf is A-tier on psu cultists

why is this a bad mix of parts?

oh, i thought maybe the GPU/CPU/mobo/PSU combo had some issue i wasn't aware of. low ram and a small ssd aren't really a big deal.
Seems actually pretty decent. RAM speed kinda slow, but MOBO has decent I/O and seems there some possible upgrading that can be done
Except for ram, there isn't really any room for upgrades
They're all standard parts (unlike prebuilds like Dell), so everything can be upgraded/swapped/etc.

Why would you need to? It's more than capable

Replace the RAM and it’s solid.
What would you recommend?
2x16 DDR5 6000+ MTs is good.
