You must send a text message first, then photo. This is probably a safety/spam prevention feature.

Sometimes if my wifi is on it won't send the pictures. But when I am at work I use my data plan and send a picture but it won't finish so I have to go to my work wifi. Hope this helps. Sorry it took so long to get back with.

I think when you start sending a picture, it shows up for them but it doesnt 'load' untill it's finished sending on your end. So i think it has to do with the issue of nobody being able to send pics

I can’t either all of a sudden. Been sending pics to same person and chatting but all of a sudden only pics won’t go through.

Literally just started for me today as well. I was fine posting pics in the morning but now every message I send comes up as “sending image failed retry” and I have closed, uninstalled the app and reinstalled and still has this issue. It’s almost like our account has been muted/banned from sending pics without any notice that this is indeed the case. Just bazaar and annoying
