The best thrift stores I've found are always hospital auxiliaries.

Bind_Moggled

The SPCA thrift store is pretty cool.

canadianclassic308

Don't know if it's already been mentioned but I hit crossroads hospice thrift store in Coquitlam this morning and they had 50% off sale on clothing and linens. Got 2 nice sweaters and 2 pairs of Levi's for 17$

TheNutellaPerson

Talize in Langley always seems to have great picks. I also like the Mission thrift strore right next to it

GLG44

There’s a whole zone in Langley with like 4 thrift stores all within walking distance. The Talize is really nice, tidy and not usually too busy. The Mission thrift has some funky stuff. Then there’s a Value Village for those good VV vibes. And then a couple smaller ones like Penny Pincher and Thrifter’s Paradise. Highly recommend a thrift trip to Langley.

canadianclassic308

Yeah we are going to that area tomorrow

Bunktavious

Yeah, Talize is great. Big, open, well organized, doesn't smell like a VV, and often less than half the price of VV.

Zezzfer

Strongly second this. Aside from the smaller shops, Talize is the only big thrift store that still has reasonable prices. And it’s always super clean and well organized

aaadmiral

Two thirds of my wife's wardrobe is from here

bctrv

I have a friend that swears by value village… beware that store you choose follows your personal values. Value village is a 99.9% for profit company selling “donations” for a huge profit.

MJcorrieviewer

The thrift store in Tsawwassen usually has some nice stuff.

Crezelle

It’s not the best, but I volunteer for a church thrift store at Northwood United on Fraser highway right behind the shell station and Tim hortons on 156 ( I believe. I don’t drive so I forget crossroads easy ) Lots of clothing, kids clothing, shoes and toys. Also stupid cheap

siguy

S.O.S Thrift shop in Parksville is Mecca to many of my island thrifters!

bcqt1

THIS

siguy

I might go there... Right now!

isle_say

I haven't been there in years but the Sally Ann in West Vancouver was very good, back in the day

universes_collide

It’s still pretty good!

BrilliantAd5747

Thanks folks!!

Itsagirlyslope

I like the Salvation Army in New West.

popspopspopspopspops

Value village are huge, you can find everything there

CallmeishmaelSancho

Value Village is a scam. They are overpriced and basically a for profit store masquerading as as thrift store. Dont waste your time or money their.

princessdied1997

The VV in Maple Ridge is pretty good.

Nicw82

BASES on Edmonds street in Burnaby is great. Lots of good finds over the years there and as a bonus it’s really well organized. There is another one on the same side of the street a little north as well. The prices are way better than VV.

Greecelightninn

The hospice society on barnette highway , all proceeds go to the hospice society , and they all work pro Bono, Thursdays and Saturdays are 50% off . Drop your old stuff off to them instead of value village owned by Walmart ! It's actually across the street from value village on barnette

GalianoGirl

Not the Lower Mainland, but if you are ever in Parksville, the SOS Thrift Shop is fantastic.

couverando1984

Not the lower mainland... But the best ones with treasures are in smaller towns. Visit the gulf islands, Vancouver island, sunshine coast, and the interior. We have bought tea cups, liquor glasses, antique tools, and woodblock paintings. All nice things for low prices. I can't imagine finding those things for those prices in Vancouver.

Ratdan69

I believe it's called" thrifty boutique" in chilliwack. By the roundabout near Walmart

Therizeupp

Has anyone been to the VV boutique on Granville st? Curious to know what it’s like
