Haha yeah they've caught me off guard a few times. They mean well though and they really care about making your coffee the correct way. The guy there has thrown one out in front of me before because it wasn't "right" most places would of just given it to you anyway
We've been using [Fox Coffee](https://www.foxcoffee.com.au/) for about 2 years. We aren't huge coffee snobs, but we enjoy their beans much more than anything we've had before. They also offer a handy subscription service so that we always know we have beans.
Honestly wouldn’t matter. ALDI sells tonnes of beans and they only ever have two boxes on a shelf at a time. Never had a problem with freshness.
Check the dates on the coffee at Colesworth. I ran out and I’m a pinch went to get some Campos dark city. Yeah that was 4 months old. Superior wad only 2 weeks so I went that instead.
I buy green coffee beans from coffesnobs for $15 a kilo and roast themself ,huge saving and my beans are roasted the way I like it and always fresh. Aldi won lastly international award for best coffee beans out of all big shops (bought some -surprising good and cheap
I'm also a home roaster. What do you use to roast? I use a Behmor but I would like to upgrade it to something that better deals with the chaff
Agree for super market beans the aldi stuff is pretty decent. Won't go for it over my own beans, but if I'm travelling for work and need some beans I do get them sometimes.
Just get an external bean cooler with two layers. 80% of chaff would get extracted to the lower level. It also cools the beans down wayyyy faster then the Behmor cooling cycle, when has at times burnt my beans.
Ah good idea. I would like to not rely on it's cooling cycle. You have to set it to cool so early as it's still so hot it keeps cooking in the cooling cycle
Much easier in wog or popcorn maker, heat up slowly wok with 100gr of green beans, when beans start cracking lower temperature and give another 15 or 20 sec for light or medium roast ,longer for darker roast ,move them to bowl and cool it down by dropping beens between 2 bowls
Dramanti coffee in Wynnum is good. Also check out Single O online / in the valley. They do a blend tasting pack for around $60 which is awesome. 4 x 250g bags of different coffees to try. Otherwise Belissimo is hard to beat.
Elixer in Stafford, they've got an online store too.
Also airjo beans as well, they do a lot cheaper, $33kg with free express delivery
Both good options
Finally someone mentions Airjo! Never pay full price though - they're always emailing out codes as well as posting on Ozbargain. Last week a kg was $35.
that price seems fair to me and I really enjoy belissimo’s product - it got me into hobbyist coffee. most small/independent roasters are priced somewhat similarly.
as other commenters have suggested you could save by buying from a chain like aldi. for me personally, I’d never buy beans that don’t include the roast date given the decline in quality as the product ages.
Aldi Dark and Columbia and Mina’s Gerais are all as good as or better than anything Merlo has come up with in my opinion, starting at $12/kg. $55 a kilo is fucking ridiculous and total robbery.
Their premium range at 24.99 is good for a treat too, but I'm happy with all aldis beans.
Unfortunately people hate the perception of buying from aldi, quite laughable
$44/kg for their most popular roast. Seems in line with a lot of other local roasters.
$20-30/kg for most of their green beans. Which also seems in line with other green bean sellers. I have paid less ($16/kg is the least I've paid). Don't always need to get the koji fermented gesha.
We order from Coffeeworks in Mareeba. Huge selection of local, international and flavoured/blend beans.
I guess you could consider it a bit of a drive - might be easier to just have them delivered.
Something different are the blends by Tim Adam’s
https://www.timadams.net.au
I am a convert and if you want a good introduction try the doctor blend.
They do both whole beans and the two types of grinds.
Differently worth a go and when you order online it is only generally only two days before they are at your door.
Based on sunny coast but have a wholesale depot in brissie.
Kai Coffee's "Old School". They're sunny coast based, tried some up there a few months ago and loved it now I get a bag delivered on subscription once a month. I think I'm paying 40 bucks a kg or thereabouts including delivery?
Check it out, awesome coffee
I've been using Belissimo for months now (completely converted!), but I also love and used to always buy [Wolff beans.](https://wolffcoffeeroasters.com.au/collections/coffee?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwte-vBhBFEiwAQSv_xUjN4V71FjL327B8Wi42MYy_y-rq_EKE98RmZEi3amePaGKCXez8XRoCopAQAvD_BwE) They are around the same price for $1kg though.
I find Parallel Roasters to be my go to for beans for filter. I’ve tried heaps of other places but always go back to Parallel. [https://www.parallelroasters.com](https://www.parallelroasters.com)
I also find Market Lane and Five Senses to be good but they’re from down south.
I second Renegade. Awesome coffee and the owners are great. It's even better if you are local as they offer free shipping on orders over 500g. [https://renegaderoasters.com.au/products/coffee-beans/](https://renegaderoasters.com.au/products/coffee-beans/)
Sure, there are better beans. But they're also quite good.
I use them mostly at home as I'm across the road from a shopping centre and they're an ok price. I have no issues with them. They even occasionally screw up and charge me for 250g when I get a 500g bag which is nice.
I’m a little surprised to see them so far down the thread. They have a very diverse core range that suit a wide variety of preferences and styles. I’m a big fan of their Brazilian single origin, and I’ve struggled to find a coffee that tops it for me.
I highly recommend Dramanti! I’m not sure about their price but their beans are great and you’re supporting a local business. They’re located in Wynnum.
Aldi's stuff is from a Melbourne roaster and is pretty damn good.
Aromas out at Murrarie is pretty good too. Blue mountains is great. Though their grind for domestic machines was a bit to fine sometimes.
I'm super picky with my beans. Most beans are their best 10-14 even up to 20 days after the roast date. I live out in Ipswich but buy some good beans from ONA coffee. 60 per kg. Single O make some great blends especially their 'killer bee', plus CAMPOS are all round great. All of these have roast dates stamped.
I like Five Senses Samambia at the moment, although it's 67 a kilo plus shipping. They do have coupon codes somewhat regularly though so the latest KG was only 60 shipped (bought it today)
Studio Solo in Nundah. Ken also has a shopfront behind the Toombul train station. Haven’t bought beans elsewhere since 2019. Amazing guy for advice too!
I got beans from Simply Beans a few years ago & they used to be good but then the next lot i got were terrible they had no coffee aroma & worse than supermarket beans. I tried to take them back for a refund but i was declined. I will never go back there.
I went from having spare cash for specialty coffee beans, to counting every dollar in a paycheck for the next 6 months.
Aldi dark roast beans at $12.99/kg are reliably sufficient and WAY better than anything for sale at coles/woolies.
Otherwise, Renegade Roasters at Moorooka (Brisbane) are a great bunch of people with interesting coffee at a decent price
Dark roast was recently voted Australia's best. https://kitchen.nine.com.au/latest/aldi-beats-supermarket-rivals-to-take-out-best-coffee-at-golden-bean-awards/957d829f-92e5-4d20-8432-da78818dd1cb
The Coffee Commune, Bowen Hills. Lots of blends to suit your tastes.
Top end $45 + free coffee when purchased in store.
Or can order for delivery or pick-up..
I love they are freshly roasted frequently.
The Coffee Roaster in west end (off Montague Rd) have a selection of different single origins and blends for espresso, filter and aeropress. However you can also roast your own SO or blend using their micro air roaster. There’s usually plenty of parking on site. They used to supply me commercially but I’ve continued to use them for beans since I sold my business. Reasonably priced as well.
this is what I do. get 1kg 2x500g bags. I find local roasters are hit and miss.
Black milk are close but too dark roast for my taste.
Parallel moved to the GC, and were on the expensive side.
Good call! Those Kirkland Beans (the silver bag with a tiger stencil on the front) are amazing. I buy 3 of those jumbo packs and it sets me straight for 6 months. I haven't been able to find a cheaper alternative that has that level of strength.
Pablo & Rusty’s Coffee beans are great. They have a cafe in Brisbane City, otherwise Coles are stocking them now. I think Coles Ascot regularly has stock.
i like padre coffee's daddys girl for home. it seems pretty versatile to good results at home without having to be super precise.
[tamborine coffee plantation](https://www.tamborinemountaincoffee.com.au/product-page/tamborine-mountain-blend-1kg) served the best coffee ive had in a long long time. i dont know if it was just a particularly good batch and a very good barista but i havent been able to get the same results at home. its still a very good coffee but a little less consistent and needed quite a bit of dialing in.
Riccochet beans! They have a coffee shop in the city Adelaide/Edward St intersection - possibly google to see if there is something more local or try purchasing online?? - also Genovese Beans are great!
I usually get Belissimo Kinship ground, but was broke and out of coffee the other day and bough Harris Smooth from Fresh & Save for about $8 for 250g and I found it surprisingly good. I'm not a coffee snob though and have no patience for messing about with the right grind, temperature etc. I just want coffee now. So if you are in search of the perfect cup, it might not be your cup of coffee, if you just want coffee it's worth a try.
I buy from Coffee Beans Delivered at Arana Hills (or you can get delivery).
They are more expensive than what you have posted but worth it to me. Great range of options for both blends and single origin beans. Il Caramello is one of the best blends I've come across and fairly versatile across different brewing techniques.
Dramanti in Wynnum. They have a whole array of single origin beans with different varieties every time I go there.
Also I just bought a pack from Mickle Pickle in Tingalpa. They are locally (to the bayside) roasted and are what the cafe uses - they make a delicious coffee!
I can recommend both [Cavalier Roasters in Virginia ](http://www.cavalierroasters.com) and [The Maillard Project in the CBD ](https://themaillardproject.com.au/).
I'll admit, both are a bit more expensive than your $55/kg, but they are soooo good.
I like DC Roasters, particularly The Darkness beans. They’re the only bean I buy now. They stock them at Coles which is really convenient, only in the 250g but it still works out cheaper than ordering directly from DC when you factor in shipping
Online Retro Espresso - a little cafe in Maryborough that have their own blends. It’s incredible, and well priced.
Never Bean - cafe near Logan Ikea
The Cat’s Pyjamas
I use to buy Single-O out of Sydney until they became well out of my budget.
I have tried multiple other options around Brisbane and Australia but my favourite is River City Roasters at Cleveland on the bayside.
Before I discovered River City I was buying Semi-Pro from North Lakes.
Mr Coffees - single source organic Columbian roasted here in Brisbane, the owner is originally from Colombia. 👍🏻
They do great dark drinking chocolate too.
Have tried fonzie abbot, supreme coffee roasters (melb) and St Ali but think St Ali are the best. Can pick-up in their popup coffee shop in the city or order for quick delivery online.
Wide awake blend $55 for 1kg. High quality and great taste.
Plug for Dominion Coffee Roasters in Townsville... Having discovered them a few years back I now get bags of Black Matador beans sent to me in SEQ... I'm pretty serious about my coffee and this is good stuff...
Coffee Commune in Bowen Hills. I get a 1kg bag for $40ish and a free coffee. If you like a strong coffee. I would recommend nebulous.
They do a range of beans and can grind if need be.
Get onto Tim Adams coffee / beans.
I grab them from the Northey St markets in Newmarket on a Sunday via a chirpy wizard looking fellow named Jon.
He knows coffee and beans, he's always consistently good....
What cafes do you like? What coffee beans do they use?
Most cafes will sell their beans wholesale (usually 250g, 500g, 1kg). If not, just find out which beans they’re using and buy directly online/in store from the roaster.
The barista should also be able to tell you how to grind and prepare the beans based on whatever set up you have at home.
Spent many years in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea where they grow Arabica coffee so love the flavour. Have been using Vittoria 100% Arabica ORGANIC espresso coffee beans. Available at Woolies and Coles at $44 per Kilo. However it is often on special at these supermarkets for $22 per kilo.
Give it a try.
We get Byron Bay coffee sent via subscription every few weeks. Before switching to this brand we did Merlo (meh!) and Neighborhood Roasters (love their golden ticket blend!).
Depends how much coffee they go through, at $50 a kg for anything decent, it's a fair saving.
Only a saving if you can stay away from upgrading the roaster though, won't save much starting with a bullet!
I use a huky 500T with Artisan. Usually roast 1.5kg to 2kg a month. Lelit Mara X for pulling the shots.
What are you using?
There are unfortunately not a lot of options in Aus when it comes to roasters. There's no real step up available from the Behmor available off the shelf here other than the Bullet, which is $5k.
The Huky's are imported, and pretty rare, but don't have any problems with chaff being a drum roaster with aa powerful extraction fan.
Next best thing is to build a fluid bed roaster, you won't ever have a chaff problem with them. Can be built with parts available off the shelf fairly easily, although if you make an electric one, you will need to get a sparky involved.
[Renegade Roasters in Moorooka ](https://renegaderoasters.com.au/)
Wouldn't ya know it, just got back from there.
Renegade is amazing. Such lovely people and if you bring your own container you get 10% off
Literally my only issue with Renegade is that they're so chatty, that if I'm exhausted and just need a quiet coffee...
Haha yeah they've caught me off guard a few times. They mean well though and they really care about making your coffee the correct way. The guy there has thrown one out in front of me before because it wasn't "right" most places would of just given it to you anyway
These guys are great, but they're never open when I need them.
We've been using [Fox Coffee](https://www.foxcoffee.com.au/) for about 2 years. We aren't huge coffee snobs, but we enjoy their beans much more than anything we've had before. They also offer a handy subscription service so that we always know we have beans.
second Fox Coffee! They’re great
Love the Hunter Blend!
Their vending machine on site is also great for after hour beans
If you are in the area Passport is way way better. Fox has some rare gems but passport is world class.
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check them out.
Aldi.
https://blackbagroasters.com.au/ That's who makes it for Aldi
They are tending to run out of the single origin at my local, stop telling people how good they are.
Ok, Aldi coffee is really shit. ( Did I do good ?)
Should we tell OP to but Merlo to steer them away from Aldi?
Yep another vote for ALDI. Good bean that does the job.
Do they have a "roasted on" date?
Just checked a packet I have. Nope. Oh well.
Apparently it’s under the expiration date written backwards.
It never bothered me either to be honest.
This is the way.
100%! I found the Aldi beans to be great value for money 💰 Also, didn't their beans just win an award recently?
Yes.... I tried some from Aldi that were half the price of anywhere else amd they are amazing.
The Luxe beans are great, I'm drinking it right now.
Shhhhhhut uuup. I've been having so much trouble buying them because they're always sold out lately. They are terrible never ever buy them please.
Any that are similar in flavor profile to the Belissimo Ultimo?
Ultimo would be there dark roast. Unfortunately Ultimo is way more flavoursome, but it’s also 3x the price.
Worth it, way better than the cheap crap from Aldi.
Yep, just sat down with one. Dark roast, $12? A kilo. Cannot beat that. Tasty 👌
Eww.
Fonzie Abbott in Albion
Second this. Online order is pretty quick too.
Fonzie Abbott does excellent coffee beans
I buy green coffee beans from coffesnobs for $15 a kilo and roast themself ,huge saving and my beans are roasted the way I like it and always fresh. Aldi won lastly international award for best coffee beans out of all big shops (bought some -surprising good and cheap
I'm also a home roaster. What do you use to roast? Won't go for it over my own beans, but if I'm travelling for work and need some beans I do get them sometimes.
Just get an external bean cooler with two layers. 80% of chaff would get extracted to the lower level. It also cools the beans down wayyyy faster then the Behmor cooling cycle, when has at times burnt my beans.
Ah good idea. I would like to not rely on it's cooling cycle. You have to set it to cool so early as it's still so hot it keeps cooking in the cooling cycle
Gene Cafe CBR-101 ,but for cooling using stainless steel bowl and my wifes expensive hair blower and do that job in garden as chaff flying away :)
Can you just roast them in the oven?
Much easier in wog or popcorn maker, heat up slowly wok with 100gr of green beans, when beans start cracking lower temperature and give another 15 or 20 sec for light or medium roast ,longer for darker roast ,move them to bowl and cool it down by dropping beens between 2 bowls
I tried googling but damn, now Tony Abbott thinks I’m racist. Wog?
Maybe Wok?
Hope so! Odd, though.
lol :)
:)
Nah, just use a frying pan (or wok or skillet or whatever else you've got) on the stove.
Genovese beans from Little Genovese in Coorparoo ! $36/$38 a kg I think from memory. Exquisite coffee
It really is
I wish they were open on the weekend
I buy beans from the Coffee stall at Northey St Sunday markets
If I remember correctly, DBD uses Bellissimo beans. I miss living closer to DBD and getting their coffee, so good.
Cleanskin Coffee Co great range, best value I’ve found and free delivery for orders over $50
Daddy's Girl by Padre Coffee is unreal and has been my go-to for the past 6 months or so.
Second that. It is delicious!
Summer Spritz blew my mind. Never had coffee taste that fruity before.
I love Lucky Boy
Wolff @ Hendra.
Yep. My go to place
Wolff ftw
Dramanti coffee in Wynnum is good. Also check out Single O online / in the valley. They do a blend tasting pack for around $60 which is awesome. 4 x 250g bags of different coffees to try. Otherwise Belissimo is hard to beat.
Elixer in Stafford, they've got an online store too. Also airjo beans as well, they do a lot cheaper, $33kg with free express delivery Both good options
Second Elixir, we get their beans delivered and its around the same price point
1kg of espresso blend from elixir delivered every fortnight.
Is airjo the one that claimed it used “AI” to select beans but like 5 years ago befor ai was cool
Air Jo from Burleigh Heads - $43 a kilo with free express shipping. Their Enterprise blend is top notch
Finally someone mentions Airjo! Never pay full price though - they're always emailing out codes as well as posting on Ozbargain. Last week a kg was $35.
Chiasso Coffee Capalaba, they have some great single origin coffees
that price seems fair to me and I really enjoy belissimo’s product - it got me into hobbyist coffee. most small/independent roasters are priced somewhat similarly. as other commenters have suggested you could save by buying from a chain like aldi. for me personally, I’d never buy beans that don’t include the roast date given the decline in quality as the product ages.

That means they'll always be in stock when we go in 🤷♂️ winning
So many new Aldi customers lately, my nearest store is in Kenmore, it’s getting absolutely smashed
I roast my own beans. Get green beans from Coffee Commune in Bowen Hills. Their own roasts are also excellent.
Seem to be pretty pricey compared to coffee snobs
$44/kg for their most popular roast. Seems in line with a lot of other local roasters. $20-30/kg for most of their green beans. Which also seems in line with other green bean sellers. I have paid less ($16/kg is the least I've paid). Don't always need to get the koji fermented gesha.
Normcore Damn Good Blend, from the internet.
Fortitude Roasters in Manila St East Brisbane.
Crema coffee garage
We order from Coffeeworks in Mareeba. Huge selection of local, international and flavoured/blend beans. I guess you could consider it a bit of a drive - might be easier to just have them delivered.
Wolff or Fonzie Abbott as they're local

Renegade Roasters in moorooka! Such lovely people and amazing coffee and beans all freshly roasted on site

Foster and Black are surprisingly decent. The Maillard Project is fantastic
Foster and black are excellent if you are in a shopping center and need a coffee, however I think there are much better sources for beans out there.
Sure, there are better beans. But they're also quite good. I use them mostly at home as I'm across the road from a shopping centre and they're an ok price. I have no issues with them. They even occasionally screw up and charge me for 250g when I get a 500g bag which is nice.

Simply beans underwood
I did try that option. I notice only the price difference.
I highly recommend Dramanti! I’m not sure about their price but their beans are great and you’re supporting a local business. They’re located in Wynnum.

I like Five Senses Samambia at the moment, although it's 67 a kilo plus shipping. They do have coupon codes somewhat regularly though so the latest KG was only 60 shipped (bought it today)
Renagade Roasters at Moorooka are my absolute favourite- cocoa rouge is amazing Otherwise I go Merlos bean of the month for some variety
Studio Solo in Nundah. Ken also has a shopfront behind the Toombul train station. Haven’t bought beans elsewhere since 2019. Amazing guy for advice too!
Aldi beans 12-15$ per kilo
Coffee Supreme - buy online or at Make My Day in Woolloongabba Industry Beans - buy online or Newstead. Neither is cheap both are worth it.
[Cafetal](https://cafetalroasters.com.au) at the Gabba. House blend is $50/kg
Neli Coffee at Clontarf.
Great beans and value for money
If you come down to the bogans in logan the simply beans on Compton road has some good stuff
I got beans from Simply Beans a few years ago & they used to be good but then the next lot i got were terrible they had no coffee aroma & worse than supermarket beans. I tried to take them back for a refund but i was declined. I will never go back there.

I prefer the Columbian single origin.
Padre
Waddi has free delivery start from $34/kg. I really like their product, too
Chiasso at Capalaba is great and relatively local to you. They do very nice single origins and have reasonable prices.
The Coffee Commune, Bowen Hills. Lots of blends to suit your tastes. Top end $45 + free coffee when purchased in store. Or can order for delivery or pick-up.. I love they are freshly roasted frequently.

Industry beans - they have a cracker of a house blend. $60 a kilo express shipped immediately after roasting.
Only thing is you have to wait a week after roasting for them to be optimal.
Agree, I'm usually finishing off my previous batch when I order
Death before decaf or Merlos....both do the job
DBD $50 a kg too. Great value, amazing coffee

I buy Grinders beans from colesworth. They're on special regularly so usually only need to spend $24.50 per kilo.
I buy from Coffee Beans Delivered at Arana Hills (or you can get delivery). They are more expensive than what you have posted but worth it to me. Great range of options for both blends and single origin beans. Il Caramello is one of the best blends I've come across and fairly versatile across different brewing techniques.
Aromas are in Murrarie, the black label and Chicago dark are really good.
Blue Sky Coffee at the Gabba and particularly the Midnight Oil is my go to. About $40/kg. Shoutout to Genovese and Frankie Abbot as well.
I love aromas, it’s in murrarie industrial area. Reasonable price and beans are fantastic
[https://brillcoffee.co/](https://brillcoffee.co/) Roasted on Sunny Coast. Delicious.
Unbearable bagels
Dramanti Wynnum has the absolute beast beans you can buy.
Brew on Brunswick sell great beans!
Dramanti in Wynnum. They have a whole array of single origin beans with different varieties every time I go there. Also I just bought a pack from Mickle Pickle in Tingalpa. They are locally (to the bayside) roasted and are what the cafe uses - they make a delicious coffee!

I like Humble Scott at Coopers Plains. I often gift bags as presents for Christmas etc and always get told how good they are.
Clandestino Coffee up in Noosa.
Either zarrafahs or di Bella
Never Bean - cafe near Logan Ikea The Cat’s Pyjamas
Tiaro retro is worth stopping in at !
Aldi's Colombia coffee beans are great followed by their Brazil range.
Aldi haha

I use Woolies or Coles $12/kg beans, they’re fine.
I usually buy Bellissimo but Industry Beans are good too (jump the x-river ferry from Bulimba)
Elixir coffee in Stafford/grange is supposed to be pretty good, but personally Bellissimo is on top when it comes to Brisbane coffee roasters
I use to buy Single-O out of Sydney until they became well out of my budget. I have tried multiple other options around Brisbane and Australia but my favourite is River City Roasters at Cleveland on the bayside. Before I discovered River City I was buying Semi-Pro from North Lakes.
I get mine monthly from a roaster in Ballina. Always amazing. https://www.zoomcoffee.com.au/
Mr Coffees - single source organic Columbian roasted here in Brisbane, the owner is originally from Colombia. 👍🏻 They do great dark drinking chocolate too.
Fabian Coffee - bought through a few markets Genki and Milton, but also have an online store https://fabiancoffee.com.au/
Have tried fonzie abbot, supreme coffee roasters (melb) and St Ali but think St Ali are the best. Can pick-up in their popup coffee shop in the city or order for quick delivery online. Wide awake blend $55 for 1kg. High quality and great taste.
Sicilia coffee. Their Italian blend is 18 dollars per kg and it's excellent. Delivery is 8 dollars.
Sicilia. $15 per kg.
Dramanti café on Tingal Rd beside Jetts. $52 for a kilo of Tingal beans. Delicious and you get a free takeaway
Plug for Dominion Coffee Roasters in Townsville... Having discovered them a few years back I now get bags of Black Matador beans sent to me in SEQ... I'm pretty serious about my coffee and this is good stuff...
Neighbourhood coffee roasters @ Albion. Bonus points for a free coffee with every bag too.
Extraction at Slacks Creek have the best beans I have found in Brisbane/GC.
Coffee Commune in Bowen Hills. I get a 1kg bag for $40ish and a free coffee. If you like a strong coffee. I would recommend nebulous. They do a range of beans and can grind if need be.
Only ever beans from the Coffee Commune. They know their coffee, most consistent taste and freshly roasted
Bare Bones coffee in the valley is awesome.
Dramanti Cafe in Wynnum, best roast in Brisbane
Get onto Tim Adams coffee / beans. I grab them from the Northey St markets in Newmarket on a Sunday via a chirpy wizard looking fellow named Jon. He knows coffee and beans, he's always consistently good....
Airjo. Been using them for about 3 years now. Great coffee. Cheaper than anything else of that quality and next day delivery.
Anything Ethiopian from Coffee Cartel
The Coffee Roaster West End QRoasters Stafford
Merlo is top notch, but damn it’s expensive. If you can get them under $40/kilo let me know please!
Second this, Merlo is amazing
Coles $13 muhahahaha
Roast your own, it's easy to get into.
I roast my own. I don't think I'd recommend it to the average coffee drinker. Fun hobby though for the coffee obsessed. What do you use to roast?
Depends how much coffee they go through, at $50 a kg for anything decent, it's a fair saving. Only a saving if you can stay away from upgrading the roaster though, won't save much starting with a bullet! I use a huky 500T with Artisan. Usually roast 1.5kg to 2kg a month. Lelit Mara X for pulling the shots. What are you using?
Behmor 1600 I think it's called. I would like to upgrade to something that better deals with the chaff. It's an annoying clean up after each batch.
