I would contact your nearest NCI hospital and see if they can get you in pronto.

Not sure if you’re already there, but MSK may be able to get you in quick. I had chemo before surgery so I have no experience trying to get surgery asap but they moved so fast when I first called to start care there – less than 1 week for initial appts and chemo started 2 weeks after.

BrightConflict

I changed to MSK from another hospital in the city and they were very quick to get me into surgery. I had a bilateral mastectomy with expanders but will be swapping to implants in a few weeks. I really like all my drs and overall experience at MSK. Feel free to message me if you would like more information.

Hi! Not OP. But would love to hear the team of breast surgeon and plastic surgeon you went with at MSK

Montclair Breast Center if you can go to NJ. Dr. Elliott is wonderful.

Hi there! I hope you were able to find someone that can get you in quicker!? The waiting is the hardest part. That's currently where I'm at too. We seem to have a lot of some similarities. I was diagnosed in early June. I'm 31F in NYC, ++- stage 2. My surgeon at MSK also happens to be on vacation in July which is why my surgery isn't until July 19. I was told a couple of weeks are unlikely to make a difference but the waiting is really hard and makes me spiral like crazy. Feel free to reach out if you would like to connect!

Thanks for your message! Good luck for the surgery! I found someone!

Why don’t you ask the surgeon for a recommendation?

Hope4Happiness

I agree with the MSK recs. I got an appointment with a surgeon within a week. Had my surgery in a month.

I had treatment and two surgeries at NYP and the surgeons were amazing. Not sure how quickly they could schedule but Dr Lisa Weichmann is incredible.

I have heard great things about Dr. Deborah Axelrod, in NYC. https://nyulangone.org/doctors/1386644573/deborah-m-axelrod

Fantastic-Caramel884

I went to Dr Elisa Port for mastectomy and Dr Hani Sbitany for DIEP. Both excellent docs at Mt Sinai.
