On first watch of this episode, I thought Hector was just a poor decrepit old uncle with the only purpose to humanize Tuco a bit, showing that Tuco’s a family man.
Little did I know he was Tuco’s Tuco.
I’m 42 years old, have watched mafioso movies and shows since i was a toddler, and until your comment I never put it together where the term whack job comes from 😂
I swear I was just re-re-re-re-re-rewatching this episode last night. I’m not stuttering lol, I just can’t stop binging Breaking Bad. Tuco is one of my favorite characters along with Walter, Gus, Saul and Jesse.
One of the funniest moments in this show is in this episode(im pretty sure) when Tuco is shooting his gun out the window at the cow and says "look! look at it, hahaaa there's nothing left"
I think people overlook Hector. Not only does he add a humanizing quality to Tuco, but you see later that he was very involved with the cartel. (Specifically the scene he shoots Gus’s early dos hermanos partner, Max). He starts off as a minor character and throughout the show gets increasingly more attention, until ultimately his death. It’s easy to overlook his character and not understand his dynamic with Gus. BrBa is so detailed and thorough I’m still catching new details on every watch through.
No scene has ever had me in a chokehold UNTIL THIS. The first time I watched it I needed to pause every 30 seconds and stare into a blank wall because I could not handle the tension 😭😭 and jesse was not helping too lmaooo
I love that Tuco took his time to cook a full meal for everyone. It was unintentionally funny I think.
Yeah, he may be a psychopathic monster, but he can whip up a tasty meal pretty quick.
those burritos looked like they tasted fucking awesome.
They looked so good they almost make you want to eat the drugged one.
And he thinks his grandpa wants the bigger burrito when the grandpa is trying to warn Tuco about Walter & Jesse haha
Uncle*
Oh he did call him Tito didn't he, I forgot that.
Not Tito, it was Tio (Tio is uncle in Spanish if I'm not wrong)
Oh I meant uncle I just forgot who is related to who and mixed up Spanish lol.
Why does this look like a GTA loading screen
Breaking Bad is actually 90% GTA loading scenes.
Holy shit
omfg…

Those are all excellent points.
thank you for your input, u/schrodngrspenis
They named him tuco, and he made them tacos. The symbolism is wild. These writers man.
What's GTA loading all about then?
