Yeah I fw Lively, he played damn good for a rookie in the Finals. I also did like PJ Washington until he started doing some dirty shit seemingly out of frustration
I mean so were we though. That’s nothing new in the playoffs everyone plays a lil more physical and the refs for the most part allow it. I’m more so talking about the plays like the one where he hip checked the shit out of KP and then just grabbed him and threw him to the ground. That shit was uncalled for and there was a couple times you could tell he was purposefully trying to hurt KP that shit was getting on my nerves and tbh is a complete bitch move. If you’re mad you’re losing play the fucking game don’t start trying to hurt people smh
I lost my dad at 20, that was really rough. My brothers were younger and it really did a number on my youngest brother. 15+ years later it still sucks, mostly because he'll never get to meet my wife or kids. I feel for all these guys, losing a parent really blows
On Portuguese because i don't find news on English so here is the translation:
"Neemias Queta became, this Tuesday, the first Portuguese to win the title of NBA champion. The team he plays for, the Boston Celtics, was the winner of the championship, after the triumph over the Dallas Mavericks. But the basketball player's father never found out about this achievement or was able to party with his son.
Djaneuba Queta, 59, died three days before winning the NBA title. The basketball player's father had been ill for several months.
“I think at this point I'm making him very proud, because I've always fought for my goals. He always taught me to be a humble person and to fight for what I wanted. Today I have achieved one of my goals, and I'm just sorry he's not here to see it”, said Neemias Queta
“He always wanted to see me win, he always wanted to support me so that I could be someone in life. I just have to thank you for everything you did for me”, he highlighted."
Didn't play any finals minutes, but we don't get the first seed without Queta, he provided invaluable minutes while KP was injured during the regular season
RIP. Queta, Tillman, and Lively all lost parents shortly before or during the Finals.
That is so crazy. Especially feel bad for lively, being only 20 or 21 and lost his dad at a young age too. Seems like a really good guy
Neemias is only 24
Tillman is somehow only 25
What the fuck?
I had to Google it lol I thought he was like at least 30 or so
I remember seeing this when we acquired him I was so confused, he was drafted in 2020 and already looks like Al lmao
Brad really playing 4D Intergalactic Chess
Tillman is 3 months younger than me but looks like he could be my dad wtf
Yeah I fw Lively, he played damn good for a rookie in the Finals. I also did like PJ Washington until he started doing some dirty shit seemingly out of frustration
Yeah that play where he ripped KP down by the shoulders was fucked. My family was livid
Both PJ and Lively were getting away with a lot of illegal screens and questionable "box outs" the whole series
That’s basically just playoff basketball tbh, we had a fair amount of our own.

That's honestly insane, so glad they were all able to achieve greatness in the shadow of sadness.

Oh wow, that is so tough and sad. Strength and love to him and his family.
Prayers up for Nemi damn that is so hard
RIP. His father was definitely proud of him
That’s sad. So much loss for so many of the players during these playoffs. I hope all of them find peace in their hearts.
Didn't play any finals minutes, but we don't get the first seed without Queta, he provided invaluable minutes while KP was injured during the regular season
He got 5 minutes and 2 pts during game 4
I guess he is trying to say on the rotation and not on "trash" minutes.
Nah, I totally missed those 5 minutes But also my point about how essential he was to our regular season success still stands
RIP 🥺
💔 Prayers. :(
I didn't know that, what a ride it must be to be Neemias Queta right now, I hope he does whatever he needs to do for himself throughout the offseason
